- In this video I go over Rebuild of Evangelion or Shin Evangelion Time Skip and the possible events that could have happened and we never got to see.
Rebuild of Evangelion, known in Japan as Evangelion: New Theatrical Edition is a Japanese animated film series and a retelling of the original Neon Genesis Evangelion anime television series, produced by Studio Khara. Hideaki Anno served as the writer and general manager of the project, with Kazuya Tsurumaki and Masayuki directing the films themselves. Yoshiyuki Sadamoto, Ikuto Yamashita and Shirō Sagisu returned to provide character designs, mechanical designs and music respectively.

If you look carefully, the pillar from the first 10 mins (the black and red pilar) appears in 3.0 when the wunder fights that enemys at the beggining.

Is it true that the original script for 3.0 movies were scrapped, hence why the preview was like a few scene from in between the timeskip ?
That is an unproven rumor without any evidence in favor or against. They blame the 2011 earthquake typically. But there's Q-themed artwork featuring stuff like the Wunder floating around the internet made by Khara's big names, posted by them years after the movie but dated 2010, a year after 2.0 came out. Also, Kaworu's voice actor hinted in an interview that Anno warned him about the eventual timeskip early on during production of the movie saga, but not the rest of the cast.

I'm looking forward to the last film. Who knows when that will be though since it's been delayed yet again. Plus who knows how long it will take for a Blu Ray release.
But let's face reality here. This is Anno we are talking about and this is Evangelion. I do not expect any answers at all. If people were holding on to the hope that the blanks would be filled in between the 2 and 3rd movies they are fools. In all likelihood the end of the 4th movie will echo the End Of Evangelion 97' film. It's like people watching a Terrance Malik film like The Thin Red Line and complaining that it's too Malik like. Don't expect tons of answers.
It was like a mentor returning after years to tell me everything will be alright and it's time to live.
I actually think what the post credit trailer in 2.0 showed as Unit 8 was supposed to fill the role of now Unit 13. 'Unit 8' in the trailer seems to have two entry plug ports and a big halo. The plot of Q was pretty much scrapped and remade for some reason only khara people know...
FINALLY SOMEONE THE SCENES AT END CREDITS OF 2.0
And even cooler, would be an another movie, "Neon Genesis Evangelion: 2nd Impact Children", would start showing what happen during the 2nd Impact and ending with Shinji receiving a phone call to meet up with Misato, what lead to episode 1. Would show what happen between 2000 and Episode 1 NGE. And of course we would see more of Yui, Kid Shinji/Asuka/Rei 1, and would be cool kid Kaworu.
my two cents about this: the Kowaru and his mark 6 of 2.22 caused a "second event", of which we see the aftermath.
during this second event, Kowaru dies inside the mark six and was trapped inside the white giant; so the kowaru we see in Q is another one from the coffing on the moon.
I would like a Rogue One type of movie for Evangelion. Like "Evangelion 2.55 Lost Years" (set between 2.22 and 3.33) would be set after Kaworu stopped 3rd Impact and ending in the recovery of Eva1. Connecting with the beginning of 3.33. Would be centered in Kaworu joining Nerv, appearance of Rei Q, the creation of Wille, what happen with Kaji and Asuka, Mari joining Wille and possible civil war between Wille vs Nerv/Seele.
The Rebuilds must have changed how souls works: how can there be multiple Rei clones alive at the same time? There is only one Rei soul and it's Lilith. 😮
I'd very much like another shot at the time skip theories taking into account 3+1.
I saw a manga on the events from 2.22 - 3.33 time skip. i dont remember where to find it but apparently the pattern on asukas plugsuit breast is actually tape. thats all i remember.

If you are going to talk about the loop theory, please don't parrot the stupider arguments like "mark06 is eva01 from the tvshow" that do not stand up to any scrutiny. This coming from a fence sitting mild looper.

Rei Q is very likely Rei 6, or one of the smaller ones that grew up, as Asuka is able to identify Rei Q at the end of 3.0 as "from the first batch of Ayanami types"

Haven’t watched 3.0+1.0 but Miksan, please tell me.. WHY WAS KAWORU ON THE MOON?!?
Do wonder if since in the series Unit 01 is an Eva whos body was taken from Lilith (why she's missing half her body for most of the series, and then stopped her growth with the lance), if thats why humanity/failures took the form of an Eva looking unit instead of liquifying/dying off. the Failures also reminiscent of one scene from EoE where Shinji sees a bunch of CG red Unit 01s/Evas are walking in unison as instrumentality is starting.
