You taught me how to make my swags for my living room about 5 years ago. You helped me so muchand was always there when I had questions. I am so thankful I have found you on UA-cam. You are awesome. I always get compliments on them when I have them up. Thank you for being such a great person !!!
Hi Scott, I'm writing this to let you know that your videos were a good part of my life as a sewer. now that a few years have passed, I'm simply wondering how life is for you during these troubled times. Wishing you health and happiness as (we) grow older.
thank you! thank you! cant believe I have made curtains and window dressings for years and have always ended up with too much bulk on top of the pelmet when doing swags for myself or friends.I had learned the technique years ago and this is a far simpler and easier way to do it without any fuss or as you commented on those silly folds! Again thank you and keep posting these great videos kindest regards from Wilma in bonnie scotland
Hello Mr. Scott, Im happy to see your beautiful work, how you can manage it so easy and nice, Im learning from you and I do swags for my home and I plan to do it for others. Thank you very much I wish all the best to you. Daniela, Czech Republic
Gracias por explicar todo paso a paso y cada detalle esta es mi primera ves en hacer Curtains Swag y mi Pattern me salio perfecto. I'm so happy thanks to you !!! Well done 👏
I watched your swag and jabot sewing segments, all parts of it , it was great, I leaned a lot from you, surely I will be doing the same. Cheryl. Thanks.
So sorry for taking so long to reply and most likely you have figured this out however- You want to install the treatment 4" to 6" above the top of the window molding or split the difference from the top of window molding to ceiling. If you have wide ceiling crown molding and only 6 to 8" of mounting surface I suggest installing so the valance is butted to the bottom of the crown. 8 Ft ceiling I would mount 4" above molding with a 16" deep swag. 10 Ft ceiling go higher and 20" long swag.
Thank You Wilma, I understand exactly what you are referring to and is still an excepted practice. Thank you for your reply. I would love to visit Scotland some day!
Thanks for this demonstration, Scott - it makes the work so much easier! Do you have any videos on how to make a raised Asymmetrical swag? I am in the process of making one and tearing my hair apart right now ....
Mr. Weaver, Did I miss you telling how deep the first pleat should be or how to figure it? I've watched twice and will watch more till I can figure it out since I can't hear it that well. If it's to be lined, I guess you'd stitch down that center line and around the sides and maybe the bottom? Yes, this is much better than some of the other videos where it hangs from the edge of a table, that never made much sense to me. Again, thanks!
Do you have a rule of thumb in determining the depth of a swag? The taller the ceiling the bigger the depth in relation to the width of the window? I desperately need guidance on that particular area. Thanks!
Hello, Mr. Weaver! Thank you for your video tutorials. But I want to know: How the swag is added after pinning it on that wood??? Do you add it WITH THE wood? (I think, no.) :-))))) Please help me with that. Or is there any video, where do you show this? Many greetings! Stay healthy!
I like how you calculate, and make it fairly straightforward to understand especially your calculations for spaces and pleats . But you were a bit faster withe swag pattern detail and the sound in the background kinda muffled your voice. Is there anyway the calculations for swag could be written down to be able to follow, so many thanks for a great tutorial Georgia
hello sir like this? I am from Venezuela and I really really like your work ... I would like if you could explain how to get or make the pattern of these waves or so please let me the link already exists ... thank you very much and continue the success of all world
