Hello 😀! I. 68 yrs old and I owned a welding fabrication business for 40 yrs. I repaired mower decks, bush hog decks commercial lawn care mower decks for years. Grass clippings are metals worst enemy! Leaving the clippings on sets up a chemical reaction that eats steel like pouring acid on! Wash the clippings off your farm emplacements will last longer! Great video! The sound is soothing!
Just love the nose of that 930. It'll still be running after we're long gone. That Baler is the epitome of cool, and having a bus bale wagon is genius 👍
I workedall thru high-school putting up square bales. I'm 81. Years old. Us boys worked for ten cents a bale. Four of us could do a lot of bales. Baled straw also. We always had a designated bale counter in the barn. If not some people would short us. We had sleds with rail road iron as runners. Made it easier than using a wagon. In good hay we used 2 crews. One in barn and one in the field.i remember one barn loft had a really good floor. Putting hay in and using hook polished the floor so slick we could hardly stand up on it. No traction. Hehe.
We had two 990 haybines when I was a kid. This vid brought back memories, but the day Dad got a discbine was a great day. Spent my childhood replacing knives on the cutterbars, and wow what a pain installing and removing!👍
I'm a retired trucker. Never into farming. But will tell that regular maintenance and alot of grease will save you alot of money in the long run with machinery. Treat your equipment with respect and it will respect you back. I've met other truckers driving 50 year old trucks. This video is a perfect example of that.
Thanks for bringing us along. I know all those tools and implements have real practical uses but I'm always a little jealous of all the "toys" farmers get to play with. I live across the street from an 8 acre hay field and they just got done cutting yesterday. Smells amazing.
You got a pretty good air leak on that old bus, look out for the DOT lol. I enjoy watching all of the old iron still working. I worked on a small farm when I was a kid and we used a lot of the old implements. Some were even old horse drawn pieces that were converted to be pulled by a tractor.
Interesting bus. I wonder if a pole could be attached to the steering. Take out one side of the windshield and hitch it behind the baler to stack directly in the bus.
Beautiful old 930. Used to have a Case dealer 1 mile away,. J. J. O'Meal. Idk if theres anything online. Have a 530 myself. Had a 400 but sold it 1st time gas topped $4. Funny, i always drive around the outside first. But it seems 75% on UA-cam cut the outside first.
I also have a MF 10 baler, great simple machine. Jeez, I always drag bales with a long hay hook, don't carry bales. You can lift when stacking.
Getting the bus ready for the Fall hayride at church? They always end well if you don't mind losing all your hay 🙂 I'd buy a bus just for the sound of it going through the gears.
I like the idea of the bus. Looks funny but it works. Feeding out cattle or horse. 6 months from now. Who cares. Great idea. Just open windows to move air. Close as you stack. Uncle Lucky used old school busses. To stack hay in. Sold the engine and transmission. Then pulled the buss with a tractor. All worked out in the end. All busses got scrapped out. Before Lucky died. Later.
Well there proof that the grease gun has more to do with keeping that machinery running than pretty paint. I also appreciate that the machinery provides all the music that this video needs.
Is the bus just some convenient thing you bought cheap and then decided to use it for this or did you actually decide to use it for this from the beginning? The other feature of the bus I guess is you can just leave the hay on the bus and not have to offload it and store it somewhere else or at least leave it there until you do and don’t have bad weather, very cool. You can buy those city buses very reasonable.
Dad bought it originally for the tires that it had on it and the engine, we did switch the tires to an old set. We found, just as you said, loading it once was nice so ever since it's been the hay bus. Thanks for watching
That has to be the most labour-intensive way to load hay I ever saw. You need one of these: ua-cam.com/video/SiOPm4n3c_M/v-deo.htmlsi=oS7zqmgi-5ouanhA&t=63

Yes, don't park your machinery in the trees. and grease them when you put them away.....SMH city folk.

I really enjoy the nostalgia of watching all equipment still doing what they were designed to do. I just subscribed and look for more cool videos.
thank you, there's more on the way
These people know their equipment and take care of it. It may be old but it gats the job done. Great work.
Thank you
Those old balers are a "black art"! They always went wrong when the weather was right! 😮 happy days 👍🇬🇧
Greetings from Ireland, great combination of sound and machines working, as for the bus, certainly different.
Thank you
Gotta be the best smel!ing bus o n the planet, nothing like the smell of fresh cut hay!
Great to see the old equipment in use!
It keeps the hay very fresh through the winter, it also gets warm inside on sunny days. Thanks for watching
Even a simple pole barn goes a long way in preserving machinery. Makes getting ready for use a lot easier
Never seen anyone collecting bales with an bus. Cool stuff. 😃

Love that you farm with old iron
Love the ole Comfort king 930 one of my favorite tractors!!
Nice! I dig the tour bus barn 💪

Love this as it makes my yard look orderly in comparison
Interesting bus. I wonder if a pole could be attached to the steering. Take out one side of the windshield and hitch it behind the baler to stack directly in the bus.
that tractors beautiful...like something out of the movie robots
:Love the bus Idea. Bring the Barn to the harvest!
smart guy, grease is the farm equipment's best friend
funny lookin' flatbed! on the ranch i used to work on, we used to put it up loose, in big haystacks.
Beautiful old 930. Used to have a Case dealer 1 mile away,. J. J. O'Meal. Idk if theres anything online. Have a 530 myself. Had a 400 but sold it 1st time gas topped $4.

That bus is too mad! ❤️👍🇨🇦

We used hay hooks also. Handy little tool once you get the hang of it. Worked good for stacking.

Totally Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Love the sound of a Detroit Diesel. From a far. 😊

for years and years we only had a 880 david brown tractor but it got the job done
We had a 990 david. Loved that tractor! Also a couple little Fergusons 20 and 30. Good times growing up.

Your tractor needs a front end alignment, LOL
Bus is a great idea it’s like a barn on wheels 😂
I thought you build some sort of hay bailing machine inside of the bus that would have been cool
Go greyhound and leave the baling to us . Now that’s a different kind of hayride
Another channel was talking about an old antique tractor. They said it was an ALICE CHAMBERS tractor.
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA!!!!!!!!
!
I am still trying to figure out why the baler is not picking up the hay.
It is missing the bar that helps accumulate the hay into the feed chamber
But it's paid for!
Move the barn to the hay>not the hay to the barn>>>smart:) neat
Definitely unconventional in that most people want the majority of the hay to go in the baler pickup.
That is a lot of work with loading an hauling hay.think u need a side shoot to pick them up, mount just behind
Door. Saves work an thousands of steps
We have thought about that, maybe one day
As the saying goes, "If it aint broke or wore out, why replace it?"(Seeing all this IRON makes me feel like im 20 years old again!)
Whaaa? Come on. Don't none them hauling rigs work? You be funny. Stay safe.
Don't imagine thats very cost effective!!?
Use old bus like box truck in the farms (enclosed in the farms because is ilegal outside) is a clasic in South America, just do a lot for less $$
New OSHA regulations mandate a 15 minute break every 2 hours.
I started work in 1972 and I still have my hacksaw in use every day
a couple cans of rusolium pain wont hurt the tractor
must be missing a part to the pick up on that bailer, the hay should not be piling up like that in front of it
There is, the pick up fingers are missing
Haywire tour.
What are you going to do with the weeds?
It yes bail it no, your soil needs some natural recovery
That is certainly unconventional.

Best part of your vid , is not a lot of talking and no music .
Thank you
Lol I thought the best part was when he loaded the hay into a bus 😂 that's Definitely unconventional
Looks conventional to me,but why would you pack your field like that with a heavy ass bus, pick it up on a trailer then stack it in the bus.
Sorry guys but your travel speed bailing is too fast. Your pick-up should slightly be pulling in the hay.
