      I live in the Red River Valley of North Dakota. Farmers here are very rich. They don't need support. They don't have to pay taxes or pay their workers overtime. They have it very good.

    Always entertaining. The close ups and angles of the wrapper and each function gave people a good look at that technology. Older farmers didn't have that.

    Another great video, sweetie. We’ve had nothing but rain here but we need to start second cutting soon. we need to dry bale ours. I have raked with our 1066 with our rotary rake, it’s a little overkill, but it works. That’s pretty neat. I have never seen a 1066 with a foot throttle on it. I am glad you’re getting some haying and done and all is well with you.🤗

    Hi Taylor from Wisconsin where it is 50 degrees and no humidity. That was a great video of your haying procedures and the bale wrappings process. There is an old saying that says to make hay when the sun shines but you revised it to say make hay when it’s time. I noticed your t-shirt said “Living the good life” . When you enjoy what you are doing which in this case is farming then you are living the good life. MaybGod bless you and Brent when you are working around that machinery.🙏🐄🚜😎

    I don’t mind mowing, raking, or baling hay. But when it comes to cows I much prefer eating them to milking them! Although you do get good milk to make cheese though! You can’t get good raw milk unless you own cows or are in a cow share program. And cream for making butter! A big thank you to all our farmers for keeping food on our tables! Farming is often a thankless job filled with a lot of hard work and long hours. Mending fence, doctoring cows, pulling calves if needed, rounding up the cows if they get out. I remember the first time seeing a round baler, love at first sight! 😂

    Great video Taylor, the camera angles were amazing. I’d never seen a bale rapper before. Down here (NC) in this part of the state it’s a big dairy area. I haven’t seen any bales wrapped, or let’s say not many. I see bales along the road that have been there for a year or so. The 1st cut this year was put in front of last years, go figure. How much moisture difference do you guys have when it’s wrapped? Thanks! Be safe!!🚜🇺🇸

    If you put a draw bar in the 3 point arms and hook on to the rake with that instead of the main draw bar, you can raise and lower the rake easily for transport and for different conditions (like lifting over mounds around ground hog holes). I always did that with our rake.

    • @ghorner11
      @ghorner11 3 місяці тому

      I was able to turn as sharp as I needed with no problem. If anythin, i could turn sharper because it pushes the rake back almost a foot from the back tires. You can also lift it then to drive over the end rows without picking them up as well as adjust for the field on the go from the tractor.
