Amy reported she sounded fine. The police said Jodi had definitely put up a fight. That's obvious as her things were all over the around her car. A white van had been noticed in the area all that week. So, the police focused on locating a white van. People volunteered to search the area. GREAT REPORT! KEEP DIGN.. I grew up in a small town back in the 70s. . there was a murder of a girl.. we were so shaken..28 years later the police got the killer..Her family and all need justice..Thx. News Nation..
Interesting how they zoomed in on that guy's face right at the end whilst saying some people haven't been completely honest. Like they actually almost cut out the victims face to zoom in and focus on him at that exact point.
The mystery man is not news. They have known about him since the beginning and cleared him pretty quickly. Maybe he had an alibi. I don't know what the breakthrough is.
I dont think he did it. He had so many chances when he was alone with her. And she was kidnapped in her parking lot. Aside from that, "John don't!!!" could be him doing something like about to put oatmeal or rice down her garbage disposal.
Are you familiar with Kelsie Schelling? She was killed while pregnant by her ex boyfriend. Of course this took place in Pueblo CO. They police never found Kelsie’s body either but the police did have enough circumstantial evidence to convict the ex boyfriend.
Jodi's disappearance is one that haunts me. I'm so glad there's new information and I hope her family get the answers and justice they so deserve, soon.
Just today I was thinking of this case. I'm so glad to see, that somebody is doing something about it. Now the old people must come forth, and confess their sins from their younger days. We want justice for this beautiful young woman, who I will never forget.
I remember this case VERY well and I live in Oregon!! I hope for the sake of her family that this case will be solved soon and she/her remains will be brought back to her family, so that they can grieve her loss properly and respectfully lay her to rest. 😢
I remember this case and that she had noticed she was followed a couple of times while driving home. She was running late that fateful morning and so took her curling iron with her and it was found in her apartment parking lot. Back then, this disappearance shook everyone to their core.
I remember watching Jody's case on Unsolved Mysteries when I was a child. It has always stuck with me. I hope her family finds out what happened to her.
Yeah it was that UM segment that got me interested in this case too. Jodi, Angela Hammond, and Debra Poe are probably the 3 missing persons from that show I wonder about the most.
You know, in a lot of cases there’s always this one piece of evidence that goes overlooked and is sitting in a box labeled crime scene evidence on a shelf. Once saw a case where they picked up a money clip from the crime scene and it had the killer’s initials on it in BIG letters and it was overlooked for a few years and I’m thinking to myself, ‘what are these cops smoking?’ They had it the whole time! Anyway, glad to hear they’re getting somewhere with her case. Her family deserves it and more.
The more I study true crime, the less faith I have in police. This kind of thing happens all the time. There was one case where people reported a dead body on the side of the road for two days before the police bothered to have a look at it. Like.. guy reports it, drives past it again the next day and it is still there, so he reports it again. And don't even get me started on cadaver dogs....
Her coworker friend called her & woke her up, probably regular home phone. It was something like 4am, so easy to accidentally overslept. This is a tragedy I hope they can solve. She deserves justice & her sister deserves answers as well.
There are a number of YT videos on her story, which you might want to watch as your assumptions are incorrect about what happened that morning (and @roriemcfadden6097 is correct).
I checked Wikipedia late last year to see if any updates? It stated her parents had passed without "KNOWING" ? ? SHE HAS A "SISTER". . Great :) @@roriemcfadden6097
Actually she’s from long prairie Minnesota, which is northwestern Minnesota. She was supposed to be in my cousins wedding. This happened a week before the wedding ,it put a black cloud over the whole event.
We used to go to Mason City in the 70s because it had the only McDonald's around. It was a big night for us. This case was a shock. Crimes like that are very rare in Iowa, or were.
Wow, I've seen several specials on this case. No disrespect to the police, but I don't understand why they would want to keep this hidden after THIRTY years! I understand they need to keep some details private, but at some point, I'd think it would be worth going public with this information. Good job to the P.I.; I hope sincerely that this brings about some answers, both for Ms. Huisentruit and her family.
At the very end he casually says that he is aware of 3 people who haven't been honest in telling what they know about Jodi's disappearance, and the interviewer doesn't ask who they are or ask any follow up at all! WTF???
My friend from MN went missing in July of that year in MT. I remember stopping everywhere on the drive out to put up missing ads & someone had just put one up for her. Jeremy Moors has never been found either.
Well, that was disappointing, NN. This guy is saying Jodi was abducted by a rival of her affections and they fought with items spread around outside her car. Most of this we already know. He claims the police know who did but have sat on it for almost 30 years. Gee, that's helpful. I don't think this interview gets us any closer to solving this.
He didn't say anything new. It has already been told at one point that she had been seeing someone new recently. That's where the neighbor's jealousy theory came into play with the public. They never revealed who the guy was that she had just started seeing. You're right. This guy didn't say anything new that those of us who have paid attention to this case didn't already know.
This is not a breakthrough or anything to solve this case. It is just saying she had a little bit of fun the week before the incident happened. The guy was literally cleared. No updates here.
It's possible that the person who kidnapped Ms. Huisentruit killed her and buried her body in some unknown out-of-the-way location. It's the only thing that comes to mind.
This is one of those cases that that haunt you. It’s always been hoped that she would be found or we would find out irrefutably what happened to her. Praying that this is the case.

A neighbor heard her scream, “John!! please dont!!”that fateful morning. She had been at a man named John’s birthday party the night before.🤔
First time Ive heard that..
WHERE did you hear that detail??
Bullshit.
I still think it’s John V.
Prayers for peace, comfort and justice
There is no breakthrough. It's just this PI grifting using Jodi's case..
He didnt say it was him, CLOWN!
I dont think he did it. He had so many chances when he was alone with her. And she was kidnapped in her parking lot.
Aside from that, "John don't!!!" could be him doing something like about to put oatmeal or rice down her garbage disposal.
Sadly, I think she was killed shortly after her abduction but with how far we have come with DNA evidence I really hope this case can be solved.
Well.... you usually need a body for definitive DNA and I don't think they will recover her body but by pure accident if there even is one left.
First we need to find the body
Are you familiar with Kelsie Schelling? She was killed while pregnant by her ex boyfriend. Of course this took place in Pueblo CO. They police never found Kelsie’s body either but the police did have enough circumstantial evidence to convict the ex boyfriend.
Please let this revival bring justice. Her family deserves answers and justice. ❤
I remember this from my childhood here in NYC. I hope they finally solve this.
I always wondered what happened to her. I prayed for her Family.
How sad. She was so young. 😔
Jodi's disappearance is one that haunts me. I'm so glad there's new information and I hope her family get the answers and justice they so deserve, soon.
This isn't new info. I think they are trying to keep her story alive.
To maybe help something wash out or someone to come forward.
I remember this story as a kid. I think it was on an episode of Unsolved Mysteries
I remember this case and that she had noticed she was followed a couple of times while driving home. She was running late that fateful morning and so took her curling iron with her and it was found in her apartment parking lot. Back then, this disappearance shook everyone to their core.
I pray her family receives answers and that we find out what happened to her, in Jesus name.
Her family may be involved in her disappearance, especially if religion is involved. She went away with some one she knew in a hurry imo.
Unsolved Mysteries really creeped me out…
@@PraveenSrJ01 me too lol
It was Joey Vincente
Being beautiful is actually no blessing...predators are everywhere. My daughter and I can testify.
I remember this case. I hope that it will be solved as the family deserves closure. Abductions like this are especially cruel.
God bless that man and his dedication to this case 🫶🏼
She was running late and then she got kidnapped , so she must have called the station to let them know . How unfortunate so sad for the lady .
Interesting thought, but cell phones didn't exist 30 years ago, and it wasn't always easy to find a pay phone if one was out and about.
Cell phones did exist 30 years ago, just not many people could afford them, and they were the size of a brick. Pay phones were literally everywhere.
Prayers for her family, justice for this woman ❤️🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻
Justice for family.
I have never forgotten about this case, I hope it will be solved soon.
Where can we find this information?
Born in southern Minnesota close to Mason City this case is never too far from my mind. You are missed.
Crimes like that are very rare in Iowa, or were.
they keep saying its a break in this case but still theres nothing why do this too her family
Hope this brings more information to the case
How sad. We all need to help find out what happened and make sure justice is served.
I’ve been following this for years. I hope Jodi gets justice..
It's about time this was solved, I felt for her when I first heard about it many years ago
Nothing has been SOLVED
I really hope this case gets solved.
I remember this and so glad to hear an update!
i remember when this was on Unsolved Mysteries with Robert Stack back in the day.....wow.
I was 12 when I seen it on um
i was 8 or 9 lol @@danielhenry4614
It's possible that the person who kidnapped Ms. Huisentruit killed her and buried her body in some unknown out-of-the-way location. It's the only thing that comes to mind.
I never knew about this case. But i hope your investigation uncovers whoever is responsible for her disappearance.
I remember this case
Jodi Huisentruit was a lovely anchorwoman. So sad.
Poor Jodi and her poor family. I hope they find out what happened to her.
This is one of those cases that that haunt you. It’s always been hoped that she would be found or we would find out irrefutably what happened to her. Praying that this is the case.
I always thought how sad and ironic it is to be seen almost everyday by 100s of eyes and than vanish. No one knows anything?.sad.
I remember this case and how sadden I was it wasn't solved.
Hope it's solved soon.
God bless your efforts! I hope that this is able to be resolved soon!
More power to you, Steve Rich. I hope you catch the guy. Not sure why you're disclosing everything you know about the situation at this junction.
STILL....NO answers on this....JUSTICE for Jody!
I remember this. I have always wondered what happened to her. I hope there is an answer for her family and friends soon.
It was that guy who was always hanging around her. He was at the holiday party there is video of . He was jealous, probably stalked her
God bless this man! for looking into this case!
I remember this case back in the 90’s. It would be good to get this case solved.
