I've been Dr. Lori benge-watching ever since I accidentally discovered you on UA-cam. You're more fun than Antiques Road Show and I learne a lot more watching you as well.
The only things I really wanted when my grandparents passed were my gramma’s costume jewelry collection and a Robert Wood framed print. I played dress up with the jewelry at sleepovers and the painting was above the fireplace my whole life. Now, I have all the jewelry and occasionally wear it, and the print is in my living room. I think of them every time I look at it.
@@DrLoriV the trick to dieting is portion control. Use smaller plates. Eat whatever u want. Literally. That's the best thing I've ever done. I used to weigh 330lbs and i might weigh 150 now 🤷. I was at 120something. I live on Reese's PB cups and crap. (Don't do those things) just portion control. One decent meal a day and don't eat when you're bored. It had helped if i could convince myself to do 5 crunches at a time let's say before my morning coffee.. or before I got dressed or before a shower... I'd just add them to any arbitrary thing I would do today until it added up to 10 instead of 5 (keep adding as u get used to them. 5 at a time) And until you're doing 100 a day to more. I ended up at almost 500-1000 crunches a day at the top of my routine and did it in under 6 months. Dropped mad inches by 6 weeks. Drink tons of water and stay away from anything that says 'diet' or 'low fat' or 'low sugar'. It's hella easy. The trick is not to use tricks
I just love your humor but your knowledge is mind blowing and I am enjoying every video you have up. I am addicted. I also hunt for bargains so hopefully I will find out some info from you as well. Thank you for all you do here. I love it
Oh wow I love the Royal Lambeth (Daulton)! It was the one I love the most. And yay it was the one worth the most. So this was while you were here in Texas? Houston? I will see you before it’s all said and done! Thank you so much for these videos!
When the grandchildren come there looking for the most expensive not a memorable piece. My granddaughter took my bible. She'll get the most in the end.
I just love your videos. I never saw you before today and i just watched a few of your video's . You know a lot, but you are very intertaining also, you made me laugh and i like that. Thanks!!
I love your personality! JW: *WHY* or *HOW* *did* *you* *choose* *this* *field* ((asking questions)) 😊 You have a wealth of knowledge and I appreciate that you share it with all of us!!
I love history as well... But not quite enough, I'd say. Lol 250 years of my family history I've been carting around, my daughter was next in line for the dowry but man, I don't think my bunch can pick it. I doubt any of it is worth anything. Lol i love the humor in this lady's collection of videos so far!
Hi Dr Lori, I just found you on UA-cam and have enjoyed your videos. I have learned a great deal from your videos and will continue to keep watching. P.S. I will start opening my china cabinet once a month for 8 hours.
That last vase I have one very similar. Doulton lambeth with a date and about a dozen stamp Mark's. It has an 1800s date. I paid $3 at goodwill. I hope its worth what that one is
I get to those places. My shows are scheduled when a group invites me. If you'd like one of my in home appraisal appointments, tell my staff to place you on my request list so we reach out to you. I may be in those areas unannounced. Tell my office at www.DrLoriV.com/contact. Or, I can help you now by looking at photos or even during a video call. See all the ways on my website.
Dr.Lori I watch a lot of storage locker finds and see that they find lots of native American stuff, but they just say oh it's cute. I would like to know how can you tell when something like that is real native American and not fake. Love your videos, I find them very educational. God bless you always, may you keep teaching us how to identify art etc. Plus love your sense of humor.
I have a #4 red stamp vase guessing a Japanese. Plastered with gold and a nice scene with mountains and they could possibly be having a festival or something a long those lines . Wish I knew if it was worth anything.
Hi Dr. Lori, I got another question for you lol. In a lot of videos you ask people if they have China cabinets and how often they open it. You let them know to open 8hrs to let the heat escape since they act like greenhouses. I totally believe you, but I was curious to know more about the damage the heat could do and tried researching the web and can't find a single thing on it. Any links to info you could share?
Good question. One example, I was doing an in home appraisal and reached into a China cabinet to pick up a stemmed glass. The stem broke from the heat damage. Another instance happened at a museum I worked at. Not everything is on the internet. :)
Dr. Lori got ya! Thanks so much! I'm going to start having my grandparents do that! I've also learned from you not to believe all the "info" on pieces from Google 😂😂😂 and rather to get a professional appraiser as yourself. I swear you are GOD!!!! 🙌 lol thanks again!
Yup ask. Some of the things that that most reminded me of my grandmother was her fridge magnets I use to play with it her feather dust that looked like a fancy lady that I also use to play with and the doorbell that I heard and saw when I first came in.... instead I get her China... it’s nice china but not what I remember her by :(
My mother has a few pieces of capidimonte flower things i can't find any information on them anywhere but im sure you have the info... Could you help me out?
Yes, been there many times for events. You've got to tell your museum, fair, festival, home & garden show to have me back. That's how my events get scheduled.
