- In this talk given at Banaras Hindu University(BHU) ,Varanasi, J Sai Deepak answers a question on growing hostility between north and south and attributes it to the dravidian movement. He says that they are same as Kashmiri separatists leaders.

u've lot of catching up to do. just as princely states wanted to be independent again, brit-governed provinces like madras presidency wanted to break free again in the 20's, mainly as they were impacted by famines & drought but the privileged upper classes held all the power, etc. so periyar and other justice party mbrs -who were all moneyed bizmen, etc- spoke abt seceding. even after 47, when nehru's north tried to dominate the south via kamaraj esp wrt hindi imposition, etc,periyar still led the fight for internal libration. once the assurances were given that hindi wont be forced as national lang, etc anna gave up the call for separate part. these guys are still beating a dead horse but keeping quiet when the union govt ensures all the psu jobs are going to the northies while south indians esp thamizh youth are left to fend for their own. that is the main prob. this union govt is using the threat of corruption charges agnst the corrupt dmk/aidmk goons and trying to grab whats left. so the old thamizh sentis are up - no ones asking for secession. stop slandering

@@crypton_8l87 🤣🤣u're a joke! heard of neyveli?? latest job scam is there. prev. the south-western railwy and postman jobs were stolen. so psus are still alive. psu's started after 47 were what gave high school grads like our parents training and jobs, built this country , the profits went into all the social benefits of vaccination ,govt schools, subsidies, etc and kept expenses down despite the mismanagement from indira g onwards where they got worse. just as they generated jobs for a poor country , now the better educated youth in the villages , towns etc all need jobs . prob. is the lazy corrupt govts that claim to run states/country but cant manage a single psu properly. build psus where there are resources instd of looting them and give locals jobs for the next 50 yrs. if india privatizes everything like the west, our children will have the same probs of joblessness, crime , high inflation etc - that the west now has.

1:06 he nailed it. That's what is needed, mutual learning of one another's languages. The resistance to Hindi comes because of north's reluctance to learn southern languages, and pushing Hindi alone down south because a lot of people speak it.
Both groups must respect one another and should learn one another's language.

why can't we invest in sanskrit and teach children and do workshops? why not rallies?
Why south languages are important?
Because south languages are classical languages.
Carnatic music can be in authentic way only with south languages and sanskrit so if we loose south languages ot will kill carnatic music.
So many ancient hindu cultures and writings are done in south languages by many great people including sanskrit.
If any person from one state goes to other state and plans to settle there for a long period of time they should learn the local language of that state. If they are just traveling there is no need of learning.
South Indian languages don't have the influence of Arab and Persian words.
Ur wrong Carnatic music is associated with Kannada not anything else nd if u ever happen to take second language coz mine was Kannada in grammar we have anyadeshiya padagalu there are Persian and Arabic words in Kannada also
FYI Odia Assamese are also languages which can independently exist
@@flame-u4g anyadesha padalu it self means foreign words. So they are definitely foreign words. So they are not Kannada words. Those words are being used with Kannada just like the way we are mixing English when speaking our languages.

You are wrong. Many North Indians want to learn at least one Southern language but it’s not offered anywhere in schools. If they offer, many will learn. Language should not be used to hate and belittle Hindi speakers or for separatist mentality.

@@alkasingal Ya, that is the issue, why is there no option to learn southern languages in north indian schools? when we have the option to learn hindi and sanskrit, where hindi is even compulsory? The separatist mentality flourished due to the north india pushing hindi on national level. Just think how bad it will be if a national level exam or a circular was printed only in TAMIL. The only way out is making English the primary second language and the mother tongue being the first. So that every indian will have the opportunity to go in all fields of life rather than being tied down here.
