    Actually Bioinformatics was probably one of the first disciplines that drew me towards data in general. I took a course where they broadly covered topics in bioinformatics and thats when I was introduced to D3.js. Been hooked on data since.

      Wow that is so cool, lots of interesting things we can do with data and biology. Saw some amazing data viz made from D3.js , such an awesome package.

    I just start the lecture but if course it would be helpful and the bioinformatics community needs more video about so thank you and keep going

      Right I wish there were more examples of bioinformatics/data science projects like the ones DP does!

    Thank you so much!! I've learnt a lot from you. I'm wondering if you are planning to do a tutorial for Graph neural network for molecules in drug discovery as well. I think it's quite an interesting topic to touch on!!

      Thanks for the suggestion, actually the idea popped up before but will definitely explore it again, will consider for a future video!

    Am now going through the route of becoming data scientist.. and going for bioinformatics due to your lecture..I would appreciate if u make a tutorial on drug discovery on heat maps or multiple databases.

    Hello Professor, your lecture was very nice.
    It was very insightful.
    Can you recommend some good books to read to understand the applications of data science in drug design or biotechnology in general. Because I am a beginner. This was the first lecture that I saw on Data Science.
    Keep up the good work.
    Lots of love from India.

    Hello sir
    I have started to learn bioinformatics as it seemed very interesting to me.
    I saw many videos on UA-cam but I just end up getting confused with all the suff around. Can you please tell me what should I start with? Should I first learn python? Because many of them say that you should know python if you need to develop a project using bioinformatics. Please help me start my learning process.
    Thank you

    Hello sir, i wanna ask if u know a few ways to increase accuracy when doing the classifier in the weka software, any suggestion that i can do to increase the accuracy?

    • @DataProfessor
      @DataProfessor  3 роки тому

      Tweaking the learning parameters may help to boost the performance, maybe 1-5%. The important thing is the data. If the data is modelable then it will give relatively good performance even with no parameter optimization. I would recommend to read up on the modelability index which evaluates the modelability of the dataset. www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3984298/
