  • Ringing up all six bells at the magnificent church of St Barnabas, Queen Camel of which the Tower holds the Worlds Second Heaviest Ring of Six with by Tenor weight (36-3-7)
However, they do hold the title of the Worlds Heaviest Six by Total Weight.
They are very long draft and the ringing room draft is still long so you must keep a straight rope. The bells are really good and I thank the locals for being so welcoming and letting me join you.
They are only rung on the 3rd Wednesday of Each month and visitors are welcome! Most practices are held at West Camel which are 14cwt 6 which, as you can imagine, makes teaching learners far easier!
Also featured is a trip up to the belfry to flip the 3rds, 5th's and tenors clappers over!

the man that was on the frame knew what he was doing and although I can appreciate what your concern is, really big bells will often not go up right and (although bands that regularly ring on big rings practice and therefore will be able to do it. The Queen Camel band very occasionally ring here so they do not get much practice) will need to be flipped! Also, if you don't anything stupid, i dont see much of a problem with it.

it is actually a semitone lower than the 11th at Evesham! 11th at Evesham is Eb and the 5th here is in D!

@fartwell2000 a 14 year old girl said that! You cant possibly expect her to know how many it takes to get it up right!

@bellminsterboy Poor show that the 3rd, 5th and Tenor all went up wrong, more so that two on the Tenor got it up wrong! The bells are on modern fittings!
