A lot of people making this kind of tutorial videos will often ramble about features that really don't matter, but you got straight to the point. Just after beaten the game on this PC port. I follow the video tutorial and even install the 4K texture pack and it all went smoothly. After playing and retrying OOT on GameCube and N64. THIS is the BEST version of OOT in my opinion. The quality of life improvements made me had such a great time. My favourite being that every time I load the game, I spawn at the room I left off in the previous session. Instead of just spawning at Link’s house in the original game which always annoyed me. The texture pack looks beautiful especially the skybox in Hyrule field and Ganon’s Castle at the end. The models look more closer to game’s artwork too. I played the game with the XBOX Series Controller and having additional “C” buttons for the d-pad to add more items like “Iron Boots” made the water temple less time consuming alone. Either way if you are like me and you always wanted to play OOT in a modern way, this is the way to go in my opinion. Honestly I don’t think the Nintendo Switch Online Version can’t compare or being on the same line with this PC Port with the quality life improvements. I didn’t play this growing up so I love that I don’t have to play it in 20 fps and play it in 4k and 60 fps (or more like in the video).
I just downloaded it. Do i need to map the C buttons on my right stick? Im not really sure what C buttons are for but i mapped it to right stick. Also , this game doesnt let you control the camera unlees you re in first person right?

@@bouncybubble I've not played through the original either, but as far as I know it is the same overall game just with the improvements of modern hardware
@@bouncybubblei played the original back in 90s on n64 and this new version is PERFECT! Just better graphics and framerate which was abysmal in the 90s. Play it and u gonna love it!
currently the 4k pack has a stutering problem at certain times as we can see here 19:07 or 19:23 or 19:42 . I did some tests and asked developers, this is because the textures are heavy and the game is not programmed to load them all before the level. Ship works on dynamic loading. Among texture pack developers, it is better to use the "hd pack" it is better optimized and the problem seems to disappear. I would also recommend selecting opengl and vsync in the game, and enabling triple buffering in the nvidia control panel. also the ship software is not recognized as a game and the cpu does not go to maximum frequency. You must go to the power options before playing and select "maximum performance" otherwise the framerate is too low
I also encountered stuttering issues with the 4k pack in specific areas. I have a 2080 TI, so I am confident it is not hardware related. I followed what you said and saw VAST improvement, so thank you for that. I would like to add, that if you turn the AA down to 1 (I had it at 4) you will see further improvement, and all stuttering is ALMOST completely gone; from my experience. Cheers!
Yeah that makes sense, i’m running the game in 4k and with the 4k version of that pack so occasionally it has a little stutter. but for the most part it worked well
i got annoyed with camera controls when i was using an emulator and now downloading 4k textures am very excited to play with these enhancements, thank you very much for the tutorial
4K texture pack introduces a decent amount of stuttering issues in the game. Especially if you disable LOD and Draw Distance. It's not awful, but noticeable hitching. You can even see it hitching at 19:08 and 19:09 then again at 19:24 the exact same points it does on my PC.
