  • A great match featuring four of the best tennis players in the USA, if not the world.

Thanks Mike, It’s helpful to see how many unforced errors there are. Make them play.

Landauer is an amazing volleyer with great hands and feel. I’m fairly new to tennis, especially doubles but it seems to me people with a one handed backhand tend to have better backhand volleys because the stroke is more similar. I put a lot of topspin on my two handed backhand so the volley is essentially a brand new stroke I’m trying to learn and get better at.

It's funny, I'm watching and thinking they're not too bad for old folk. Then, with a start, I suddenly remember I'm 60 :(

Great to see this. Maybe offer an option with one video just showing the court sounds and another with your commentary and let viewers choose. For me, talking during the points is distracting and well miked court sounds give a lot of info. Also, a more minor point, but I wouldn't do a transition between every play (leaving 8 players on the court) just a straight cut.

Well noted. I wasn't aware I talked that much.

@@10smike Actually, I've seen other senior's videos where there's talking all through the points. Whatever that machine was making all the noise pretty much masked the commentary here anyhow. It would just a take a few minutes to render one video with the commentary and one without. I just prefer to try to get into the match. I find these videos much more interesting than the pro matches on TV not least because usually the TV camera jumps to many angles on the 1st serves making it hard to see the serve motion and track the ball. It's just my taste but I just got through mainly focusing on Round 1 matches at the Aus Open because most had no commentator. I'd like to see more of the top senior's matches on UA-cam. Thanks.

I don’t like that against overheads, one player stays up. You are a target and lose 95% of the points. It’s not just these four. It’s all too common.

Honestly? I'm 68 and these guys don't look all that intimidating. Or very fast for that matter.

Well, they are the best in the world in their age group, and I guarantee that the ball is moving a lot quicker when you are on the court. Looks easy from up here but it's not.
