Hello! This is a really good video about the actual scenario at Yonsei. I'm planning to apply for the spring semester 2023 at Yonsei. Looking forward to the next videos.
It really is something that only Korean/full-time students would be aware of. I do think I've seen the study abroad office publish about it recently though, so I'm assuming general awareness is increasing!
Thank you for the informative video Yongsei sounds a good place for grammar loving people (like me) If you See my comment, I wonder if next time you could Show us around the city Maybe go to the cafe, a comfy place for studying. Hello~ I would be happy to give you more insight about on vs off campus housing (I do have videos on my off campus housing search and such but i honestly have no idea when they'll be edited or posted, so it'll be faster if I reply by comment). Are we talking off campus as in searching through a realtor? or like airbnb? My answer would be greatly different depending on what you're thinking, but tldr, I really recommend off campus housing because it's super safe, easier transportation, relatively cheap, more freedom/space, easier/cheaper food delivery and less of a hassle. However, on campus is nice in that you can meet people more easily and that you're close to classes (if you're in person). If you're looking for actually finding a place with a realtor and doing a contract, it's possible (and most of the time cheaper), but much more complex! This is answering your question in general but feel free to ask me follow-up questions~
@@happyingeunjee Thanks this is great info! I’m thinking Airbnb because I’ve heard similar things about the on campus housing that you’ve mentioned from others as well, but on the other hand I would like the chance to meet other students and for this fall semester (when I will be at Yonsei) it seems like classes will be in person. Seems like there are pros and cons to both!!
@@maeveg7281 I'm super happy to help! Please feel free to ask any follow-up questions; I had friends in the dorms, and I can ask them if I don't know the answers myself-in fact I actually knew people in all three situations: AirBNB, off-campus (realtor), and dorm :) There's definitely pros and cons to everything; it's a tough decision, but I seriously believe you'd enjoy your time no matter where you are!
@@abunanoodles1096 I've heard good things about them! Not exactly sure what details you're looking for though. Let me know if you have a specific question!
Thank you so much for this video!! I'm going to HYU this fall semester and I'm really excited! Your video was really helpful, at the beginning you mentioned a Discord chat, do you perhaps know a group for Fall semester or just an international exchange group? It might be a life saviour
Hi~ Thanks for commenting! I'm super glad that the video was helpful! The Discord chat is still very much a thing because people from Spring 2022 are still using it; I've seen a couple people introduce themselves for Fall 2023, so you might want to join the server and see if you can find more people and group chats! The server itself [was] for all Yonsei students Fall 2022, but it's honestly expanded to all (Seoul) Korea study abroad students! You can find the link for the Discord server on the Master Guide linked in the video description (I don't want to leave it for anyone to see just in case they get bots and trolls)

If I really want to hold a good CGPA what should I do I choosed life sci and biotech do you think i can really hold a good score?Should I go to this university finally?
I recommend checking my most recent video for you to get insight on how off campus housing is! I show rent prices/process for how I lived off campus. I can't say for the CGPA as I don't know what that is, but I can say Yonsei is a super amazing, prestigious school that has a respected name value :)

Hey I have a question. Please reply if you see it. So I wanna take computer science in south korea. I understand if the lectures are in korean but are the textbooks and materials in English at least? And are the exams conducted in English? Understanding the language a lil bit might help but studying a whole engineering course in korean would be a nightmare.

I don't think I'm qualified to answer your question since I'm not someone who completed their studies in Korea/is working in Korea! Sis...can you plss reply me? Plsss plssss plssssss sis🥺..... can you plss , with your idea and experience, tell me about the scope of microbiology in South korea?? I will be doing my masters in SK in this major. Is it impossible to find jobs in this major there?
Unfortunately I didn't take microbiology classes at Yonsei, so I don't think I'm qualified to answer your questions. Regardless, Yonsei is an extremely prestigious university known for its academics, so I'm sure they have great classes for it!
As for finding jobs, if you're an international student, job hunting is much more difficult due to how companies are required to prove why they would need to hire someone who's not Korean. I'm sure there's a job market for the major, but I believe it would be much more difficult!

I know for sure that Yonsei does have a language program, but I'm not sure if it's 20-weeks. They usually conduct them over breaks so they would probably be 2-3 months at most (unless you're doing a full language degree)! Hope this helps!
