Giulio, An absolutely fabulous presentation! In my opinion, the San Giorgio after the Scire is one of the most important warships of the Regia Marina for what she did in WW2. Thank you for keeping her memory alive and educating other viewers! Bob

Giulio - another wonderful film on the Regia Marina! I have to confess I did not know that the San Giorgio was as old as she was - I had only seen pictures of her post 1930's modernised form. What a ship. Commander Pugilese and his men were unbelievably brave going back the second time after the original set of charges didn't detonate. Heroes - the lot of them.

Excellent as always. She's always had a bit of a place in my heart for her actions and wreck photos at Tobruk. Shame her funnel arrangement wasn't as pretty as the Pisas :).
From memory the royal navy used her during the supply runs as a defence platform also.

Great video! Very impressive how long she was able to be of service. Would’ve never guessed she was that old and able to be such a nuisance to the Allies!

Hey I know this probably isn’t something you have time to do but it would be awesome if you could make some videos in easy-intermediate Italian and at a slower pace for people like me who are studying the language and are interested in Italian history . Unfortunately their is a huge shortage of history about Italy in English

I'm also studting Italian, and looking forward to a time when I can listen to his Italian videos (perhaps slowed down a bit) and be able to understand at least a bit! I know from my studies so far that natural spoken Italian is so far removed from what students learn (at least in the first couple of years) that it might just as well be a foreign language. There are so many tenses to know and colloquially some words are nailed together for speed of communication (eg "Non ti preoccupare" (don't worry) often is spoken as "Non preoccuparti" - please feel free to correct my elementary knowledge where necessary!). Sometimes you can kind of guess the verb to gat a gist of what is being said, but what tense is being used takes time to work out if you don't know, and that does slow things down (if you can even correctly guess the tense, which has a large effect on the actual message being conveyed!) - a lot!
As I said, I'm looking forward to the time when I can atleast attempt the task with some kind of chance of success!
