You once made a point about how smaller batteries are actually better for city-dwellers - that made me choose the Exway Riot with Cloud Wheels and I couldn’t be happier with it. Have even taken it on two flights with the 99Wh battery in my carry-on. Thanks!

hi Daniel, just got my ripple last week absolutely loving it. im wondering if you changed your front wheels? that looks different from mine, if you did could you share some more info thanks
He definitely did, my guess is he got some softer longboard that might be a little bigger than his current wheels (75mm). Softer wheels = more comfortable ride.
Can you do a "Graduating to Level 4" video? I got my first (v4s) board about a year ago, now I have had a voyager-x for 6 months and NEVER thought I needed 4th gear/level on the remote. However 3rd gear/level is getting at bit comfy/slow. I would like some pro input on riding in the higher range of an electric skateboard safely. Thank you for all you do!
Hey Dan, does this board offers anything new or is it just a cheaper version of the Wave? also Exway is marketing this board on their Taobao page as a “electric surfskate” even though it‘s still use the same 7“ trist tracks, it’s possible to do pumping on this?
75mm hub motors, the standard size is 90mm. Usually smaller hub motors are underpowered, these are the strongest ones to date. Meepo's attempt with the Mini Dual model is pitiful on hills with an adult weight rider
You can think of it as a cheaper Wave. I was told they were working on surfskate trucks for this board but they weren't ready. Maybe marketing got ahead of themselves. 🤷♂️ Technically yes you can pump on this board stock - I did it without using the remote, but it wasn't fun haha... I wouldn't call it a surfskate at all at the moment.
@@esk8jaimes I already have the atlas pro and the Flex pro if I want to go fast, but power and acceleration really isn't much of concern for me on a smaller board like this, anything over 500w is plenty tbh. when they initially announced this, I want hoping for a nimble and fun surfskate-like board, but now it looks like it's just a budget Wave that doesn't offer anything new other than a more accessible price point.
Awesome vídeo Daniel👏👏👏 both informacional and cultural, with some drama in the middle... In my opinion, your not far from Hollywood best directors😁keep up the good work.
Love your video was fun to watch as always 👌 BTW is this still the 99wh battery I see exway will be offering the larger battery shortly. Are EUCs more favored in cities to ride over eskate? That's what I am riding more now.
We are about to head over to live in Shanghai for 5 years from Australia. I commute on an Evolve Hadean currently in Australia. As i expected, it looks like even a small board in Shanghai might be hit or miss on whether the authorities will allow it. My plan was to get small board to get between train stations etc.
The districts you’ll ride in matters a lot too. For example, in central Jing’an they don’t seem to care, but I’ve had a board impounded twice in Changning.
I NEED to know if these 75mm hub motors are any good on hills with an 85kg rider, the similar 75mm hub motors on a Meepo Mini Dual were awful on small hills
I got no hills here but I don't expect this board to perform well on hills. It loses power quite fast on grass. Noticeably weaker than Wave. Don't know how it compares to Mini Dual though, never tried that one.
@@esk8jaimes I am 92kg, 6'6 (lots of wind resistance), I rode an ignite board (Australian company) with dual 350W motors around my mountain-top city for a few months, it was fine on most hills, especially if I carved up them, usually sitting between 10-15kmh on longer slopes or 5-10kmh on super steep (20-30 degree) slopes, besides for the hills it couldn't handle it's still light enough to just carry and walk.
@@Orphioux I just visited their 'Ride Ignite' UA-cam channel, seems to using a system with swappable battery packs I had over five years ago, had loads of problems. Even stranger, their electric skateboards and replacement parts aren't listed on their Web either...

Its low end skate board price. Consider that a non electric is 200$. Most of quality board are 900$ and you have to spend 1200 for all terrain électric board
Not often range tests/reviews also turn out to be a tour guide video. Loved this.

For some reason you remind me with that outfit of Safari Man from Filty Frank
Lol I looked it up… 😅
I have to say the anti-skateboard rule in Shanghai would make me reconsider where I live. I don't understand why you put up with it.
That tunnel sub sequence was too good 🤣🔥
Thanks for this awesome tour. And great video, as always.

I love your videos! So imaginative and entertaining! Where’s your helmet young man?
You continue to evolve as a creator and I couldn't be happier to have the pleasure of watching. Great review!
Is that 99 WH battery detachable from the board similar to the Wave? Thank you.
Nope
riding in shanghai looks so stressful...
I’m so grateful I don’t live in a major city 😮. That looks horrible 😢
Hahahah they said we cant ride here in the square... Wtf that guys riding... Proceeds to ride hhahah
07:08 Er, the what side? 😂 That must be the vixens you mentioned earlier in the video…
You heard right. And there used to be a women's running group here called "Puxi Run"...

"...your little ship"? I guess that is better than it being called a scooter.🙄
Your voice sounded labored.
Sounded more like - wei, no skating here you little shit. 🤣

nice high top sneakers 👌🏼👌🏼
6:34, LOL nice try Daniel, but that's not the Yellow River. 黄浦 means the yellow delta. The Yellow River is about 500km north of Shanghai.
FUCK…黄河……
What an excellent video! Thanks Daniel!

What motor connectors do those particular hub motors use? Wondering if I could upgrade the weak ones on my Meepo Mini Dual...

You know what? drop into the ONSRA factory and grab the Velar using street wheels and show it to us in it's full glory and the Vixens?!

Ha ha ha...Great video. Excellent presentation style. I'm guessing (from what I counted) you visited 7 or 8 sites.
6:48, Why are bikes allowed, but not skateboards?
They say skateboarding is dangerous. They don’t know the difference between doing tricks and just casual cruising.
Google street view isn't smooth enough but if it was people would love riding /cycling simulators in actual places like this
Love your videos ❤
笑死我了 你还给路人配英文配音hhh
Tini mini 3 SL next!! Not sure if anything can beat the price and the specs for a budget board :o

Wave with smaller battery, the same weight as the ripple?
Wave with 99Wh is still 1 kg more than Ripple.
