Just got a Goldtone CC Carlin for learning Clawhammer and love it. Thanks for sharing tunes and lessons, you're helping a whole generation of new clawhammer players.
The CC carlin is a great banjo for beginners and it is a great banjo for intermediate to professional level too. It is a professional quality instrument but financially feasible for beginners. You made a great choice!
great lesson, i am just learning this tune. the intro lesson "taters" was new to me, will have to try that lol unsure what you were doing with your rt hand, will have to re-watch to get it down correctly. keep the great videos coming.
Nice lesson. You should do one for Spotted Pony next. I like your version from your comparison video better than anything else I found when searching for a UA-cam tutorial. But I'm not good enough yet to figure it out on my own.

I set this banjo up myself. I have a particular way I prefer my set up to be.
