@@vicky.littlewolf8069 I find it hard to tell but I can say this, mums and dads that have split or were never together don't act like that. It's like when she was pregnant he didn't know her or her potential and he learned from then on what she was like. He did love her I just can't describe in what way. It's like he loved her because she was family. A family member he loved just as much as his siblings that he would avenge her. If things were different maybe the would have been together. I see why people shipped them now.
Klaus love cami more than anyone and Caroline is or was the same fixation, but Camille was smarter even as human, and appreciating art and understanding people, where Caroline was more about herself,

And Klaus was still paranoid about his enemies (I think that’s why he started hunting his enemies in the last season) but on,y because he was never afraid of dying.
When he had a daughter, he was afraid of her dying. So he did everything he could to protect her

In the last season, he hunted his enemies down to protect Elijah as Elijah's memory was erased.

Family is power! Haley and Hope did the one thing nobody else could do. They made him let his guard down and show love and true devotion. I wish hope and Klaus weren't screwed out of having a relationship but the Michaelsons were an amazing family
