I always wish we had more rain here - but then I see how much your rain constantly delays the rate at which you can progress on your projects, and I think, well, maybe it's not all bad...As always, impressive work. :)
Great idea. One thing could you place a value on top of the tank(s) so if the piping gets smashed the water in the tank would not be open to the elements? Also did I miss it but did you experience Beryl? I might (low chance) have the remains on Beryl over my house tonight! 3:58 my weed whacker died after 11 years so I got a new one. Electric of course. For 50 C$ extra I got a strong electric blower. Kitty was confused as I have never needed a leaf blower. I wanted it for exactly the reason you gave! It also would clear ash and dust from the building in a disaster. Totally let nature drain the water. Big issue with concrete and asphalt on properties is water drainage. Most think about it 'after' it is an issue. You should try singing in the rain 🙂
@HuplesCat I use 40 pipe, it's the thick pipe. It's held with hurricane tested unistrut with heavy clamps, it's not going anywhere, but I do keep spare pipe just in case. Nothing is guaranteed in a catastrophic cat 5, that's why I build extra strong, if something comes my way, I'll post damages to build even stronger 💪.
@CluckinAround This is the Chicken Bunker rain 🌧 harvesting cistern, it has to be protected because there is a higher chance of damage at floor level. Hurricanes are the reason I'm forced to build this way.
@HomesteadEngineering After seeing what Beryl did in the Grenadines, it's crunch time. I'm building new metal doors for my pump rooms, I'm also building new pumps, I want to upgrade a couple of important things for this season.
another great product...It would certainly be horrible to save all that water just to have the cistern destroyed by a hurricane! great idea Luis~
@OldSchoolPrepper it's crunch time, I have to finish a couple of projects fast.

@thefeatherbrain it's a rain forest, today it rained again in the middle of another project, but all the rain 🌧 keeps me off grid, so no complaints.

@@MosaicHomestead Cool! Stay dry!
The shield looks very sturdy - and it's attractive too!
@marygallagher3428 it needs paint, but it's been raining 🌧 all week, and more rain 🌧 coming.
Great job!
@ThePRGardenGuide it's been raining 🌧, so paint has to wait until I finish other hurricane related projects.
@@MosaicHomestead Yes, the rain is also keeping us from painting wood for the garden.
@ThePRGardenGuide Get ready for hurricane season, it's going to be hyper active this year.
Great idea
