@GIL Favor well why was everyone scared to do something about it? You must like these new rules who knows maybe someday it will be flag football. Plus who cares anymore it’s fixed just like wrestling. Don’t believe me look at the rules.

Steeler fan here. Native Pittsburgher, child of the '70's.. I love the Raiders! Without the Raiders, there '70's Steelers and beyond NEVER happen! Those '70's games against the Raiders were the BEST, as good as any Super Bowl. Phil Phillipiano is my favorite NFL personality outside of a few Steelers, obviously. On and off the field Phil is a legend and a prince of the game!!

Thanks for this video. Phil Villapiano has been a hero of mine since I was a kid. I love watching the old Raider highlights of him working his magic with the can opener. He and Ted Hendricks, Jack Tatum, Willie Brown, George Atkinson, John Matuszak, Otis Sistrunk. They don't make Football players like that anymore. More's the pity.

When at Bowling Green... Phil was a bar bouncer at 'The Canterbery Inn' where my dad managed. September 27, 1975- Phil stood for my dad & his sons to witness a team practice in Mayland, before a Colts game. Even 'Al Davis' would not kick out guests from a closed practice which the GREAT 'Phil Villapiano' invited. A day remembered. Thank You, Phil- my hero.

Phil is such a Raider man, he bleeds silver and black. Him and his teammates are the reason why this English boy became a Raiders fan at 14 when we sucked and I stuck with the team since 2005.
He should be brought in to the dressing room this year to pep the team up.

I was fortunate enough to see the Raiders of the 60's-70's living in Oakland. And watching this man...............the game has really changed. That entire Raiders' teams that Madden coached couldn't even play today because everyone would be under suspension, lmao!!!!!!! It's great that all this is preserved. The NFL will never be the same as those days!!! The Raiders, Steelers, Chiefs, Dolphins, Cowboys and even the Vikings, man that was fierce football back then. And players never complained because they loved it so much. This dude tackled the defensive coach during a drill, CLASSIC and coach just shook that shyt off. You gotta love it!!!

But I feel for Atkinson after all he’s been through in his personal life with his son’s death. Those guys all played through intimidation at times just like Mel Blount.

I'm a long time Steelers fan, always had a great respect for the 70- 80s Raiders teams and Coach Madden. Phil Villipiano needs to be in the HOF.
