Good to see you 2 weeks in a row! Shorts came out so nice, enjoy wearing them. Nothing like digging out old projects….hope the Lizette dress works out, so pretty. I like & sew with many of Lisle’s patterns. I have been organizing my stash this week and recording everything on cards and putting it in a file so I know what I have. I surely don’t need to buy any fabric for a long time! Found some quilt blocks and put them together with a Welcome embroidered section and made a banner for my front door, so happy to make something found and fun..Have a wonderful Mother’s Day and keep on sewing!
My, my…that little gray basket has a wealth of goodies. Fingers crossed both dresses have enough seam allowances to tweak so those dresses fit. Great patterns with beautiful fabric. The dresses may turn out to be a Mother’s Day surprise gift to yourself!
Loved your description of the basket projects, i found some things i had cut out and when i finally got back to them, I'd grown too much. Anyway, like you i need tops. Have cut out 5 in the last few days. This will be the sewing week. Have a happy Mother's Day!

Hello Diann! Happy Mother’s day to you! Hope you can have a great day and relax too. I’m hanging in there but struggling on my range of motion as they( drs and physical Therapy people call it) I’m at 83 degrees and in ten days or so I need to be 90. Or I might have to have another outpatient thing called manipulation under anesthetic. Which means while I’m knocked out ,,, it will be manipulated tobe aka get it freed up or more like bend n twist it until it is that number). Pray I can / Will make it on my own, please if you will?! Why,, that number but it’s theirs. lol. have no idea but I’m really trying my best on the exercises to get it bent at a right angle so close but not there yet. Say a prayer if you will and I’ll keep you in mine too. This older age stuff (lol) sure isn’t fun! Have a fun sewing week too. I’ve thought about it. That’s as far as I’ve got to sewing!!! Belated Happy Mother's Day and nice to see the photo of you with your Mom! Those shorts are great and I really admire your persistence with redoing the waist band and also with learning to use the serger despite not being confident about it - they look intimidating to me but lots of folks use them, so I know it can be done 😄. The Rhapsody dress is so pretty so far. As for the "correct" way to do something, I think the correct way in sewing is the way that works - there's more than one way to get somewhere! Good luck with the dresses - I love the burgundy fabric and the Lisette pattern is beautiful and I hope it works for you. One of these days I have to clean out my mending basket...one of these days...so good to have a sewing friend in you for inspiration and reassurance!
Oh, that beautiful green print! That will make a beautiful Rhapsody!! I like your plan for the bin projects. When I think about it, that's kind of what I do. 🤔 I'm in between myself, and I'm going to re-shape and sew the legs on some ponte pants, then on to my next new project. The Lisette patterns look like nice things to work on.... I'm sure they'll be great! 😘
Love your channel. Your dress from the rhapsody pattern is beautiful. If I had a channel mine would be " count the times I rip-out". I baste so much sometimes I forget which seams need final stitching. Your list of cleaning chores inspire me to get busy.

Enjoyed your video. I have the Rhapsody pattern too. I have 3 different rayon fabrics to make different versions of the Rhapsody. Each piece has a bit of pumpkin color. I'm going to pair them with a Helen's Closet Blackwood Cardigan in solid pumpkin French Terry. This will give me many options for the summer. Your new patterns are so pretty. That wine colored dress will be beautiful. Hope it fits you. I saw someone's comment about Red being your color. I agree with them. I think blue will flatter you also. Thinking of you today and hope your eyes stay healthy.
Hi Diann, good luck with those 2 dresses, I hope they fit you. I have made the new look pants at least 6 times. They are definitely my go to elastic waist pants. I have made them in linen and in viscose and have worn them so much. ❤
