I am amazed by how you are still able to find ways to find such interesting discoveries. I kinda wish that we got the freezing ability in the final game. Would make the Hades Cerberus + Satyrs fight much easier. At least before PAIN+ would kick in. Maybe you could even use the frozen enemies to get into heights not available before, if only Kratos was able to stand on them. I also love the sound of the orange ball being hit by Kratos and the Helios pose at the end. Great job, as always.
It's amazing and yet disturbing at the same time this kind of content. I love it! I played alot back in the day the demo and the complete game, this is by far my favorite gow game.

Also, the fact that the game remembers what it previously interacted with, makes me wonder if something similar could be done in the main game? @@findlestick I believe someone had once uploaded a video where Kratos was pushing around the large pedestal in Heart of Gaia upper floor, as if they'd accidentally pulled it there with some magnetic grab. So there's a chance that such a glitch exists.

It's unfortunate that we can't do this in the full game, I've been trying to talk Aphrodite's relic to give access to the Icarus Ascension move but you can't jump at the end to gain that extra height to grab the door, as far as I can tell
True. I explored that in more depth (not on video), and there’s a couple more pillars on the way to the bridge. But they didn’t have any prompts, and Kratos always gets stuck after using the second grapple-point that leads to them.
Btw, at 10:20 - is there any level that use the block ? Seems like that cancel out that game scene. And I wonder why did they add all the weapons and levels that we don't officially use it the demo that you unlock and use them freely.
@@HelianGamePiano The only other area where the block can be taken is ground-level, but from there you can’t take it far from the chain’s periphery. Not even under the platform. I’ll have a few more attempts, as maybe the ice-weapon might be the key? Don’t know.

There's certainly some level of disappointment about the fact that there aren't any completely new, completely unused areas, but the dev junk is so fascinating nonetheless. I wonder if it's possible to datamine the thing; maybe there's something like map files in there. The earliest prototype of Black (even though it's not a demo and it's a PS2 game... but still) had a _very_ unfinished map of the sixth mission that was possible to explore by changing its filename. Overall, great stuff! I wonder how you hacked the hidden weapons and abilities in. Also, was that the GoW2 Blades effect on the "hacked" weapons?..
All the new weapons I found here were all already included in the GoWIII-demo, just inaccessible without hacking into the game’s memory (i.e I didn’t mod anything, just accessed what’s hidden in memory). Once I found the areas of memory where the game stored certain weapons, I observed their values changing in a particular pattern, as I played. This observation led me to believe that, by entering new, specific values, Kratos might potentially change the weapons he has equipped. And to my surprise, that’s precisely what happened.

Hey Findlestick, try exploring more in Hades’ Throne. It is located right after Kratos kills Hades (the chair at the upper right corner). There is water nearby, maybe you can use it to “swim over” the throne ?

YOO Those claws i was able to get them some how in the main game. I was playing with a friend chaos and we were at labyrinth and he tried some badass combo switching between weapons and somehow he got the double effect, green and "sunny" nemesis. Im not lying, the weapons its still in the game, you just have to try to unlock it or swtich it idk how.. maybe if we can see the game files we could try bypass something or idk.. I really do not remember how i got them.. I beat the game with them but when i loaded the save where i had them ,they dissapeard. Normal nemesis then... Damn the whips with sunny effect looks godful
Getting unusual graphical effects on your weapons is known to happen in the main game. I’ve also had the yellow Whip-effect happen as well as with Gauntlets. But they’re just graphical glitches not alternate weapons.

From memory, the paintings are duplicates of ones you can already see (since they never thought the player would be swimming there). I’ll have another look next time I’m there, and capture it.
I didn’t activate any type of cheat. I literally just hacked the demo’s memory and analyzed its values. Through trial-and-error I found values that related to Kratos’ mechanics. Their data structures in memory indicated things like where his x,y,z coordinates on the map, his jump-counter, weapons-values, etc, were located in memory. Changing specific values revealed the weapons and attacks seen in this video. If you want reproduce these results you’d have to hack the demo yourself.
At some walls, the game lets you jump at the peak of an Icarus Ascension. Do it exactly where I do - also, match my angle that Kratos is facing. That’s the most important part.

I didn’t *add* anything. I hacked the demo, searched for addresses in memory responsible for storing Kratos’ weapons. Changing those values changed which weapons Kratos has equipped to what you see here. The infinite jump wasn’t added either, I just locked the value of Kratos’ jump-counter.
@@findlestick you can actually get up there in the original, there's an orb chest on the left where you kill helios, if you get up there and use Icarus strike (with blades of exile) you can get high enough to get to there
