I played Hercules with Zabu, Iron Lad, and 2099 and they all feel SO much better being played a turn early. It still can be clunky, and things still need to line up for him. But he’s definitely more fun being played Turn 3
For mantis I was thinking you could make it to where if you play in the same location, you see their play next turn like daredevil since she reads emotions. Might be broken but idk
Magneto is my absolute favorite card at the moment. He won me so many games lately. Just moving everything to his lane. To win a lane your opponent was sure they won. Feels so good
A bunch of my friends and I started playing snap recently and I have to say, the pool 1 and 2 system felt great for learning the game gradually but once we hit pool 3 all of us felt like we knew enough to play all the new cards, but didn’t know enough about how to actually get them. Being able to choose a “path” would be amazing for that point in the game
Mailbag: Even with Miek and the new cards comming on February, i feel that for low collection level players there's not much insentive to play Discard without the old Chaves; by the time they get series 5 discard cards, i feel it is too late to fall in love with the old Discard cards, going for Black Knight decks instead, thoughts?
I had a crazy idea for Hercules... Treat him like a mini Zola, where if a card moves to his location, he splits it in 2 and sends them back to the other 2 locations.
Hercules: on reveal when an enemy card moves here , throw it off the game board (once per game) almost like ntw so you can get away with cloning vats and other ways to make copies
Mailbag: Why do you think they haven't increased the amount of deck slots? Do you think it has to do with the UI when selecting a deck or something to do with server issues maybe. I personally think we need a different UI for deck selection and more options too. One of my examples: A way to lock decks into a certain spot on the deck list.
@@UltimateHibz I feel like going to a grid system would fix the deck selection screen, like they have on the PC version when you go into your collection. That would be a good set up. I just need more deck slots, I'm tired of having to delete decks just to try out a new deck idea or a new deck I see.

Not to get too much into CCs here but what do you think; "Mantis; If played in the same location as an enemy card swap hands. Must be played before turn 5." Milano could be a HE style card, getting buffed with each successful activation of a Guardians ability. (wherever this is).
Mailbag: reply: regarding the guardians, I think star lord should lean into the elemental blasters. Like a Nico effect it switches between the 4 elements each turn. Fire gives negative power to an enemy card, ice gives an increased cost to opponent card, lightning gives bonus energy next turn, wind moves an enemy card out of the location. Thoughts?
My homebrew I'm most proud of got infinitely better with Black Knight and then better again with Ebony Blade's buff. The main goal is to get Zabu and Sera out, discard Infinaut with Sif while BK is on the board, then on Turn 6 I can drop the blade for 20, Ghost Rider for 23, and Jubilee to pull in my Giganto or Red Skull for 15. And I can hit all 3 lanes on the last turn for up to 58 power in one turn. Some metas have been better than others for it.
Mailbag: There has been some cards in Marvel Snap that are characters I haven’t heard of before I started playing the game that because I liked them so much in Snap, I went to read about them in the comics like Aero or Elsa. What are some characters that you didn’t know about until you played snap that were so cool, it made you want to know more about them.
I've been playing for the entire week and I've only come across Hercules twice. the first was when i got him from the Hub location and the second I'm pretty sure that the opponent was either a bot or just playing the most random deck cause when i came to the field I literally went "oh? ...why"
mailbag: love the content from you two. like you said with viper, do you ever think the otas are a bad thing, when they happen too often and quickest like when the changes sometimes happen in a week of a card coming out without letting it sink it and seeing its true effects.
My question was picked \o/. I do think they should do an equipment/tool archetype eventually. That said and I know Rocket isn't the worst of the Guardians but he's my favorite and there are just way better 1 costs. Whose even using him or suggesting him in any decks? I love him but in a 12 card game where every card choice is important I can never use him unless I'm just accepting I'm at a disadvantage and am trying to farm boosters (Though Vats might help with that in the future)

herc at 3 would be insane just to have the 1. torch 2. cloak 3. herc + move torch line. obv all the other ones as well. it's a little awkward with ghost spider. because you need to play her before you can get herc down on 3. but herc at 3 would probably make move bounce a legit consistent deck.

I agree with Cozy that Hercules has a lot of potential. I can understand why it is the way it is...because if he gets out early he's pretty insane. I agree that he's basically another Heimdall. My Favorite at each cost right now: 1 Nico, 2 Viper in High Evo specifically, 3 Gladiator I've been using Gladiator in a lot of weird ways ,4 Phoenix Force I finally feel like the Heimdall Tribunal versoion is better than the Shuri Nimrod version and it's gotten quite a bit better...here's hoping Hercules gets a buff and then goes in this list, 5 Abomination This is why we run viper! 6 I thought it was a battle but then I looked at my built decks across 2 accounts. 1 6 drop makes it into way more decks than any other. In ranked however I have been stuck in galactic the whole season and can’t get into infinite. So two weird picks for my MVPs, but Aero and Scarlet Witch have been doing wonders. Aero and Hercules has been so much fun with move and I slotted Scarlet Witch in to deal with all the stupid power bs going on turn 7. I’ve won a surprising amount of games just removing limbo on turn 6 and it’s so funny when they just skip to get infinaut and just lose. Also shout out to White Queen for stealing all these high power costs from opponent. She’s surprisingly decent in this meta along with morph

I like the idea of Hercules in the same lane as kingpin/kraven. Stegron, Polaris, Spiderman your opponents cards without filling the lane due to hercules, allowing you to continue stacking
We don't need more left moves. We need more right move cards or random like silk. Moving left limits the movement archetype more than it already is. Since we already have better cards than can easily do that. Plus he can get cards into some unplayable locations.... like silk soooooo 🤷♂️
Mailbag Angle and M’Baku buff idea Would they be to strong if they add “Can not be drawn in opening hand”, so more chances they stay in the deck. It would make the first 3 cards constant, but would that be that strong. Or would there ability activating more often be to strong. I think people would run them for the opening hand opportunity’s alone, maybe making only one work if both are in deck would be better. Running both might be to strong. What’s your thoughts
I think adding the Milano for the guardians would be cool.. if it can buff the already existing guardians like high evolution? A power up to go against high evolution 😅 cuz I can't stand how little I've got to fight high evolution

I know SD wants move to have a 4-cost staple card, why not have a card that scales for each card that moved this game? 4-Cost, 0-Power, On Reveal: Gain +2 Power for each card that moved this game. Exact power values might need tuning but this seems like a good baseline
Mailbag : if you were a cookie what kind of cookie would you be? tried to summon herc and instead pulled Annihilus instead so I guess I got more lucky .. I am not completely sure yet.
MAILBAG: Are there any VFX ideas you guys have for existing or future cards that you want to see? I’ll give you an example: I would love if Valkyrie applied her card cosmetic to the cards she affected. (I.e, if she’s inked with a blue border and rainbow crackle, every card she hits in the location on both sides is now inked with blue border and rainbow crackle). I think it would had some flavor to her animation. If not for Valkyrie, this could be a cool effect for a future card, as there is not anything in the game that currently affects the cosmetic aspect of cards in the middle of a match.
MAILBAG: Last week you mentioned changing some of the guardians. Mantis should have a very similar effect like Nico. 5 senses. 5 random effects. On Reveals and Ongoing. She'd be a God Tier Card. Thoughts?
The problem with the movement type is the game itself,too many locations shut out cards and then the movement type can’t get ground to move their cards around and then become useless
I personally dont lole the fact they are now releasing a card every single week. The season pass card week gave people a chance to build up some caches for the upcoming month while giving players with smaller collections a chance to get stuff they might have missed (especially if said cards were crap on release and buffed later... ravonna im looking at you)
As a baseline game mechanic, it would make snapping for cubes pointless. Why ever stay in the game when you know your opponent will beat you? Terrible idea. Instead put the effect on a card, and it's at least interesting. Turn 6, tap on the card like Howard the Duck and see their hand.
Mailbag: I have been thinking lately about how SD would nerf Blob...and i just cant think of something without killing the card. Is Blob not going to get nerfed or, are cards around him going to get nerfed? Am I missing something important and how would you guys nerf blob and his unstoppable thanos package? If Blob gets a nerf, it will probably be somethinf like “you can only play this card on a location where you have no cards in play” or something like that. It would make you automatically lose that location if your opponent is able to counter Blob (Shadow King, Shang Chi, Alioth) etc
Hercules needs to be a 3-cost. The vast majority of people don't play Move anyway, so even if he's busted, how many people are even going to be taking advantage of it?
Scarlet Witch is the card you can not skip in every deck! Winning games countering Limbo on turn 6 plus a decent 4 Drop (Skaar for example) is my favorite thing in Snap right now!!!

MAILBAG: Marvel Snap is a game that has so much "datamined" content, which is odd to me. Call me a conspiracy theorist, but I feel like the devs are making content "data-minable" on purpose for the community to see, which is also odd if it's a method of "communication". They clearly have the ability to insert and remove datamined content, and with the recent OTA "leaks", I am skeptical if they are doing it on purpose to get the audience's reaction/input for changes (example: the 5/5 Annihilus nerf was bonkers, either way, you look at it, so they officially nerfed him to 5/6). Datamines have been around for such a long time, so: What do you guys think about the use of datamines/leaks (i.e. from the dev's perspective)? (If this question makes SD remove all datamined content in the future, then maybe not answer it lol. I love datamines, too)

Mantis absolutely has flavour! As an empath, she is reading the opponent’s “mind” (or hand) - Just like White Queen and Mirage, who are both psychics.

Hercules was great for me this weekend since I play with Phoenix Force. Whenever opponent played him down and I got my Phoenix combo I won.
If SD wants us to invest resources in cards like Hercules, they are finished.

Are there any VFX ideas you guys have for existing or future cards that you want to see? I’ll give you an example: I would love if Valkyrie applied her card cosmetic to the cards she affected. (I.e, if she’s inked with a blue border and rainbow crackle, every card she hits in the location on both sides is now inked with blue border and rainbow crackle).
I think it would had some flavor to her animation. If not for Valkyrie, this could be a cool effect for a future card, as there is not anything in the game that currently affects the cosmetic aspect of cards in the middle of a match.

Make it so you can’t play Himedal mid and all your cards move the direction of the corner location you play at.
i think that jeff being in most decks really hurts hurcules in move decks

I am dreadful at making decks. Like really bad. How do you suggest is the most effective way to get better at it?
MAILBAG: Last week you mentioned changing some of the guardians. Mantis should have a very similar effect like Nico. 5 senses. 5 random effects. On Reveals and Ongoing. She'd be a God Tier Card. Thoughts?

The problem with the movement type is the game itself,too many locations shut out cards and then the movement type can’t get ground to move their cards around and then become useless
I used hercules in a move bounce deck and i beat a thanos blob deck cause i got my human torch up to 128 and taskmastered him on turn 6
I personally dont lole the fact they are now releasing a card every single week. The season pass card week gave people a chance to build up some caches for the upcoming month while giving players with smaller collections a chance to get stuff they might have missed (especially if said cards were crap on release and buffed later... ravonna im looking at you)
Here's a thought, what if Hercules threw the first card you played in his location every turn?

As a baseline game mechanic, it would make snapping for cubes pointless. Why ever stay in the game when you know your opponent will beat you? Terrible idea.
Instead put the effect on a card, and it's at least interesting. Turn 6, tap on the card like Howard the Duck and see their hand.
the last time Hercules was this disappointing was when Kevin Sorbo got a Twitter account.
Mailbag: I have been thinking lately about how SD would nerf Blob...and i just cant think of something without killing the card. Is Blob not going to get nerfed or, are cards around him going to get nerfed? Am I missing something important and how would you guys nerf blob and his unstoppable thanos package? Cozy and you have been doing a phenomenal job with the mailbag and the snapchat!!
If Blob gets a nerf, it will probably be somethinf like “you can only play this card on a location where you have no cards in play” or something like that. It would make you automatically lose that location if your opponent is able to counter Blob (Shadow King, Shang Chi, Alioth) etc
Hercules needs to be a 3-cost. The vast majority of people don't play Move anyway, so even if he's busted, how many people are even going to be taking advantage of it?

Scarlet Witch is the card you can not skip in every deck! Winning games countering Limbo on turn 6 plus a decent 4 Drop (Skaar for example) is my favorite thing in Snap right now!!!
The reality stone does the same thing, is cheaper and is part of one of the strongest meta decks though

I'm sorry but Quake is broken. Her being a 2 cost doesnt make any sense, when Luke needed a nerf because he was affecting too many locations at once.

Is this game truly RNG? I could be playing a control deck and rarely see a move deck. The moment I start playing move, I mirror match a handful of times. This seems to be happening more often.

Marvel Snap is a game that has so much "datamined" content, which is odd to me. Call me a conspiracy theorist, but I feel like the devs are making content "data-minable" on purpose for the community to see, which is also odd if it's a method of "communication". They clearly have the ability to insert and remove datamined content, and with the recent OTA "leaks", I am skeptical if they are doing it on purpose to get the audience's reaction/input for changes (example: the 5/5 Annihilus nerf was bonkers, either way, you look at it, so they officially nerfed him to 5/6). Datamines have been around for such a long time, so:
What do you guys think about the use of datamines/leaks (i.e. from the dev's perspective)?
(If this question makes SD remove all datamined content in the future, then maybe not answer it lol. I love datamines, too)
