- This week is our motorhome budget challenge to see if we can manage to stopover, eat and play for £5 per person. We visit 7 different locations and learn a bit about each as we enjoy the history and culture across Chester, North Wales and Merseyside.
We even manage to enjoy a celebration in Chester with our son Jack and his beautiful fiancé Laura. We share how we select our stopovers, show how we budgeted for our meals and what we paid for fuel. Each day also includes a free, fun activity.

Hi I have just across your channel I must say I found it very interesting specially doing a budget which is something I am useless at we have a twin wheeler caravan so no off grid for us the prices have gone up dramatically also my partner needs disabled facilities as he is a double leg amputee. I was so pleased with myself when I made coffee in a flask but it didn’t last very long I’m hopeless 😅after watching your budgeting ideas I’ll have to try harder. Safe travels 😊
Hi Sheila, thanks for your comment. It was a case of ‘needs must’ for us as we were spending far more than we could afford to. So we thought if we are going to tighten up let’s do it in the most fun way possible. We use Taylor’s coffee bags. They’re not cheap work out at 25 p ( if you get them in offer at Morrisons 😃) a cup. That is a lot cheaper than £3 plus out. If you don’t need to budget then I wouldn’t bother, but there is something very satisfying about thinking you’ve got a bargain . It would be really useful for you to know which are the most accessible places to camp I suppose?

Sorry but still can't pick up (accents) where you said you would stay in Chester if you were going to pay the £5. Will be picking up our campervan in May from Wales when we arrive in the UK. Heading to Scotland but like the look of chester so will include in our roadtrip.

Chester is well worth a look. Walk by the river then walk the walls…I love wales and the north west
There is no dump point or water there so time your stop in between campsites 😁
@@pegandrobsgameforadventure we will be coming over every NZ winter for the next few years so with having to spend lots on airfares the little saving tips all helps
