I loved your choice of tempi in each movement. What a way to enhance the personality of each dance! I also noticed the change of order of the pieces - it does make sense to play the menuets together (changing the affetto with different tempo and mode mixture). Bravo!

I bought a book of music edited by a Karl Scheit of baroque pieces for guitar and over time realized it was my favorite of all music periods, but then there is so much music I could always change my opinion. My other music books are famous composers transcribed for guitar so I can't say for sure.

Lovely. Confirms to me that this suite should preferably be played on the Baroque guitar because of its delicacy of timbre - it loses so much on the modern classical guitar versions, however well they are played.

Sounds even better being played by a proper baroque guitarist using flesh instead of nails. Really brings out the timbre of the instrument much better!

There is good evidence, however, that some 'proper' baroque guitarists (such as Corbetta for example) played with nails.

I agree this sounds lovely on a baroque guitar but on modern guitar with nails my teacher says index finger strums with nails sound scratchy. On modern guitar I agree and so Scheidt’s 1944 Universal Edition arrangement of mainly two parts sounds better. This is what Bream played. Universal Edition’s “new Scheidt” (not edited by him) edition has more broken strummed chords. I have both scores but prefer earlier on modern guitar.

Lovely suite. What is that mic? It sounds a lot closer than it is!

I think the is probably the closest rendition to De Visee's original composition
