It was a great night I got to shake his hand 3 times thoughout the concert I was only 23 then. I didn't film this concert myself but got permission to share it from the source and yes great filming especially for the mid 90s.

Hi Brandon, I just watched a video of Celine Dion doing The Voice, not a patch on Farnsey & that goes without saying. Celine said that it has taken her 20 years to do The Voice. My question is: she was down in Australia in 1996 why didn’t she do a duet with John then? As far as I am concerned there is only one singer who can do The Voice & that is of course JF (& naturally all of Australia). He is about 19 years older than she is & I reckon his voice would have blown her out of the park back then & still can now! Please all Celine fans don’t jump down my throat as I have always loved her also but was just interested in her comment that she said she wondered why it took her 20 years to record The Voice, after hearing her version I wished that she would have left it alone.
She sang a live version of it on her last tour and of course with John but she didn't record it as such she never officially released it as a single. Delta did great live version of it too. live
OK so I filmed this when I was 15 and have to admit I am embarrassed that in the "solo" of All Kinds Of People I zoomed in on Brett when it was clearly Chet playing the wah wah. But in my defense It was the first time I had ever heard the song as it was April '96 and the album wasn't released until June! 🤣
Bloody good filming for a 15 year old mate. I was 23 at the time you captured me and my brother shaking John's hand during Pressure Down (second song) I was lucky enough to shake John's hand 3 times that night. You're the dude that shared this video in my John Farnham Facebook One Voice group yeah?
BTW bonus points if you noticed that at the end he said "thank you Subiaco" instead of "Thank you Scarborough" 🤣 Perth ppl will geddit. He did love AFL and Subiaco was where they played in the 90's! 😂🤗
No I wasn't the guy that shared it but obviously it has been passed around since the 90's as I gave it to some Farnsy fans back in the day. I'm gonna go through my old tapes and hope I didn't record over it. Would love to try and improve the quality of the original. Was shot from a little JVC camcorder. @@BrandonBeard
@trampledunderfoot80 Haha true!!! Did you to the Jack of Hearts tour later that year? At the Burswood Dome.. I got permission from the guy who shared it to upload it to UA-cam thinking he filmed it.

It was such a great concert I was 23 at the time yeah the intro version was cut short as it was just a intro/opener and Farnsey covered the full version later. I got to see Farnsey twice that year the second time was towards the end of the year the Official Jack of Hearts tour.

No buddy I was there and there's footage of me in this video shaking John's hand. I run a John Farnham Facebook fan group and one of the members was kind enough to give me this video and allow me to share it. I was only 24 at the tine of this concert.
