7.36a Patch Analysis
My hero guides are mainly for people learning how to play Dota or for those who want to learn how to play a new hero. I aim to teach people the general concept of how the hero should be played and what makes it unique. I'm a Divine player around 5k and don't claim to be the best at Dota, but I do have enough knowledge and experience to help you learn the basics.

No, don't bring the old tinker back.
No heroe should be able to refresh overwhelming blink, shiva, hex etc out of the box.
Tinker was broken and he is fixed now, a bit of tweaking and he will be fine.

The point is the old Tinker is far superior to the newer Tinker in terms of being cheesy. The newer Tinker has a way higher cheese factor since he is so hard to catch and kill even if you do catch him.
You can dislike the fundamental aspects or play style of the hero, but then the hero should basically just be deleted from dota because it having a 30% win rate is almost equivalent. Regardless, the fundamentals might not be fun for most people but it's nowhere near old techies level and as long as they just make the numbers on his spells bad enough then he won't be a big menace in pubs.

sand king has definitely felt super awkward. the aghs is super frustrating to verse, but before then he feels so low impact. stinger does offer a new way to farm and push waves, so I’m interested to see how he progresses from here

Mirana is super weird, I've never been a big fan of the hero. Half support and half core it feels like.

Lich losing mana regen ability feels unfair so i tried it and i could still get by fine and adjusting more to a soul ring or midas build but its definitely limiting your options and availability to fight at times.

I must disagree about sand king, he finally feels strong. People concentrate too much about him not being invis with facet dust devil but they miss the fact that since sentry see him 100% of time (previuosly you had to dust him to make him visible) in sand storm, the invis is useless anyway. Now I max E and Q, skip W until later and he feels waaaayyyy better now, not to mention when you play against melee carry because you no longer have to max that akward casutic finale. I hated him so much because of that sentry counter, he felt super useless when enemy was just puting wards non stop, you couldn't do anything and now you can just go into their faces with stinger power and don't try to hide in this stupid storm.

Omniknight can't do two-shot burst players now since the shard was changed. Sad. I used to spam this hero a lot.

Ah, yeah I forgot about that. So he does more damage now but doesn't do the double burst which is probably worse overall then.

Yeah same here, unfortunately, he just became a full support now since both shard and scepter benefits more for your carry
