Ten tutorial pokazał mi, że stanowczo za mało korzystam z luminosity masks (masek świetlistości ?) przy obróbce portretów. Teraz będę wykorzystywał je znacznie częściej i bardziej świadomie. 👍👍👍

Maski jasnosci (z takim tlumaczeniem na polski sie zwykle spotykalam) to narzedzie ktore jest proste w obsludze a moze dac roznorodne rezultaty, w zaleznosci od ustawien. Polecam tworzenie wariantow zdjec, to zabiera sekunde i minimum pamieci na dysku a pozwala poszalec kreatywnie :)
These are amazing images Kasia. I shoot sports (soccer, etc) and my photos from night games are very contrasty just like these. I will edit one image and want to apply the changes to 40+ other similar images. As a side note my edits are not as extensive as yours as my shots are candid and the end photos serve a different purpose. Thank you for your thoughts on combining luminosity masking with the other masking options in the color balance tool.
Yes, absolutely. I would recommend though experimenting on separate layers or creating a different variant to see how the results will differ. Every image is different, so there is no "fixed recipe" for color adjustments. It is a highly subjective process, so test different approaches to find out what works best.
Kasia, jak zwykle zawodowo - bardzo dydaktycznie, kompleksowo i kompletnie. Nie myślałaś o udostępnianiu tych przetwarzanych zdjęć - tak aby "uczniowie" mogli dla wprawy powtarzać Twoje działania i odtwarzać efekty, zanim zaczną działać na swoich zdjęciach, zapewne z trochę odmiennymi efektami?
Dziekuje Robert :) Przy niektorych tutorialach udostepniam zrodlowe rawy, jednak nie robie tego w przypadku portretow. Ma to zwiazek z tym ze to byly osobiste projekty i chronie prywatnosc moich modeli. Pozdrawiam
Kasia - around 13 min of your tutorial, when you introduce TIFF from PS; the TIFF file has layers - are those created in PS? it is not clear. please clarify. thank you!
Hi Krzysztof, good to see you here :) Sorry if that's confusing - I'm discussing a TIFF file that was already processed in C1. The workflow is as follows: basic adjustments on raw file in C1 > export to 16bit TIFF (this will flatten all your adjustment layers made in C1) > jump to Photoshop and perform all needed corrections, skin retouch etc > go back to C1, from now on you will be working on the TIFF file; all layers made in PS will be flattened > perform further adjustments in C1 So basically you can't bring layers from Photoshop to C1. Moreover I'd suggest flattening the TIFF, if you are not planning to edit it anymore, since it will take space on your hard drive.

i really like the "noir" editing as an example of overcooking some luminocity part of an image to show or hide , or stylize, the image ;)
True, there is plenty of potential in Luma Masks. All depends on the photo at hand, some results can be really surprising.

Great video! When you use a luma range and want to use the color balance tool, can you use MASTER because your range is already limited by luma?
