Please do a video on training Chihuahuas of 12 weeks+ , particularly potty training. Mine was/is very good about going on his puppy pad within his paypen, but can't seem to find his way back to it when outside, even if the playpen is wide open. If he's not completely boxed in, he goes wherever he wants. Thank you for all of your videos!!
My chi Luci is 10 weeks old now and her ears haven’t stood up - the breeder said the mom’s ears never stood up but I was wondering if taping would still work if it might be genetic for them to be floppy? She’s precious either way but the upright ears are adorbs 😍
Allison Buettner The floppy ears may very likely be genetic, but taping them could still work to help strengthen them and encourage them to stand up. You’re right, they’re precious either way so if the tape really irritates her then I recommend just letting her ears be floppy. Sometimes they don’t mind the tape and it may only take a couple days before her ears start to stand up. I would give it a try just to see how she does.
I have a bottlefed baby who is a little over 5 weeks. I swear she is so picky. I don't know what to do. I've been trying different types of soft food and she's not very interested. She also won't drink water. So I keep giving her puppy formula when I have to. Any suggestions or ideas. What type of food do your dogs like? How can I get her to drink water?
Just keep up the formula and try everything to get her to eat. Try boiled and finely chopped chicken, broth soaked kibble, even human baby food such as turkey, etc. Just keep trying and eventually, hopefully, she'll show some interest. One trick I've learned, which seems like a joke but is not, try getting down on the floor with your face really close to the food and baby talk your sweetie pie. That has worked over and over for me. And they are so adorable! Mine had the white tip on her tail but black is growing over it. I wanted it to stay!
