He is absolutely right, we live in a throw away world. Almost impossible to find a local boot repair shop any more. Sad times, and a lost art.

58 years ago when I was 12 years old, my dad took me to Rios of Mercedes to get fitted for my first custom made boots. I ended up getting a pair of exotic South American lizard boots made. I wore them everyday until I outgrew them. Rios made a very comfortable pair of boots.
I own 5 pairs of Rios and love each one of them. Most comfortable boot I’ve worn.
I am a big fan of Rios of Mercedes and AB boots, I own quite a few pairs, they are very comfortable and very good quality. I used to work in a western boot factory located in Palma de Mallorca, Spain. I meet Mr Trainor Evans in Denver in 1984 and since then I love Rios of Mercedes boots.

It’s amazing the quality of work the cobblers and boot makers do. I’d rather get my boots made by a small business than buy a new pair from stores.

Kind of sucks that can't stop by there place and buy a pair or 2 Have to order them thru other sale reps. And they mark them real high on price The boots I been wanting thru rios it be about 250.00 thru other stores they go 700 to 750 and I'm only 7mins away from Rios
