I AGREE 100000000 PERCENT! hahaha they turned the award show performance into a full on concert! Here is the setlist and concept for the MMA 2019 performance so you'll have a background and idea when you watch it for your reaction: Songs: 1. Intro: Persona 2. Boy in Luv 3. Boy with Luv 4. Mikroskosmos 5. Solo stages where they perform to remixes of their older songs: - V = No More Dream - Jin = Danger - Jimin = I Need You (Suga plays the piano solo for this ua-cam.com/video/JyHaRCMbx6A/v-deo.html) - Suga = Fire - Jungkook = Save Me (the MV for this was done in one continuous shot, it's really cool!) - Jhope = Fake Love - RM = Intro of Dionysus (which they performed as the finale) Each member represented a Greek god: V - Apollo, God of the Sun Jin - Ares, God of War ( or Athena, God of Wisdom) Jimin - Artemis, God of the Moon Suga - Hephaestus, God of Fire JK - Poseidon, God of Sea J-Hope - Zeus, God of Thunder RM - Dionysus, God of Wine And the lights that come down before each solo performance make a star constellation, the Corona Borealis, seven stars (for 7 BTS members) that make up the distinctive crown-shaped pattern. In Greek mythology, Corona Borealis was linked to the legend of Theseus and the minotaur. It was generally considered to represent a crown given by Dionysus to Ariadne, the daughter of Minos of Crete, after she had been abandoned by the Athenian prince Theseus. When she wore the crown at her marriage to Dionysus, he placed it in the heavens to commemorate their wedding. 6. Dionysus (instrumental remix of N.O. for the dance break)
This was only one song from their set at MAMA 2016. Jimin and J-Hope first performed Boy meets Evil and then the whole group performed Blood Sweat and Tears. The beginning pf this video with V and Jin on their knees was the ending of Blood Sweat and Tears. This is why they were all sweating so much when performing Fire. They also won Artist of the Year at this award ceremony 💜💜💜💜
This is where tjey won their first ever major award in their entire career and their reactions were PRICELESS they couldn't believe it, like they were all shook it was honestly so cute, their eyes widended at the same time and they suddenly stood up and thought they were drealing
This is just one song in a larger performance they performed 3 songs that night, and it's "only" an awards show lol. I hope you get to check out the whole performance. Cheers for your reaction and Hi from QLD EDIT: ua-cam.com/video/Q_hQjxGSS7k/v-deo.htmlsi=6sCl9BPfaDjqlCHQ a clip of the other performances
I can see you've got confuse when V was deep into his character in the end part of Blood Sweat and Tears (BST). In this MAMA, BTS performed 3 songs: - Boy Meet Evil (jhope and Jimin dance) - Blood Sweat & Tears - Fire I recommend you to watch the MV of Blood, Sweat & tears then watch the explanation by Don't worry I'm not Afraid to understand the song and the act by Jin and V at the end (why V has a scar at his back and close Jin's eyes). For most people including me, It was hard to understand the meaning of BST but after watching the explanation, I can see a lot of meaning and all the set and the act in the MV makes a lot of sense. Also please watch Boy Meet Evil by Jhope with CC turn on please to understand the meaning. After that, you can watch the full MAMA 2016 again. The one that you watch today is just 1 song but it's ok as the introduction of the group's live performance. When you watch/react the whole BTS performance on MAMA 2016 again, ARMY will watch it again with you. We also want to see your full experience of the whole performance, but before that, please watch/react the BST MV and explanation first so you will not get confuse. By the way, love you reaction 💜 Borahae
They practice singing/rapping while running on a treadmill, they practice dancing in a taped box on the floor to simulate a small stage so they don't bump into each other and stay in sync, they live together so their personalities mesh, Bighit spared no expence to make BTS shine, they've worked hard for everything they have and they deserve it
Well, actually, they all have their own homes now. But the homes are very close to each other, and they did live together, in the various dorms and apartments, from about 2010 to around 2018 or 2019. RM gave us a tour of his house, and Jimin and JK have done lives in their own homes. I think J-Hope also showed us around his home a bit when he was packing up to go to Lollapalooza. The 'Life Goes On' mv was filmed in their last shared apartment, and the 2022 Festa Lunch, where they announced their solo era, was filmed there as well. Because the lease was expiring.
Lyrics aren't essential for enjoying the music but with BTS their lyrics are deep and multi-layered with few exceptions. So subtitles are essential to fully understand their music and why they're so popular. 😊
Another suggestion is the 2021 Festa Room Live, which would give you a taste of a number of their songs (7 I believe). It’s a cool performance and a firm ARMY favourite. 💜
So this was part of a longer sequence with a narrative: It started with an epic intro with JK dangling from the ceiling of the arena, then Jimin and j-hope doing a dance sequence together. Then all of them performed Blood, Sweat and Tears. This video starts with the transition from that previous song (the sexy angel with the missing wings...). All of this is based on BTS' 2016 album WINGS, which is very heavy on literaure references and hidden meanings. (The MAMA editors did a very bad job when chopping the performance up for UA-cam...)
You have to remember that MAMA, MMA, AMA are different award shows. MMA : Melon Music Award MAMA : Mnet Asian Music Award AMA : American music award. Because I'm sure many people will recommend BTS's appearance at MAMA and MMA.
If you want to check out their music videos, I recommend 'ON (Kinetic Manifesto Film).' It's definitely one of the songs that most ARMYs recommend to those who are just getting into BTS : ) You can experience amazing choreography, a dope beat drop, and nice lyrics! However if you're interested in their live performances, I suggest watching the 2018 MMA (Melon Music Awards). While the 2019 MMA was the best-ever epic performance, it might feel a bit early for newcomers😅The 2018 MMA is also considered one of their legendary performances, and I recommend starting from there in order. (MMA and MAMA are both music award shows in Korea. The names are similar, so it's easy to get confused, but they are different events.) Appreciating you guys for listening to their music without prejudice 💜💜
You can't go wrong with a live performance by them.. like a lot have said MMA 2019 is still legendary.. or just check out some of their medleys.. they always go hard on these.. 🙂💜
You have fallen into the largest rabbit hole in existence….they are talented beyond comprehension….they drive themselves to the point of unconsciousness when it comes to performance and practicing…their love and devotion to their fans is unmatched…..simply put …you haven’t scratched the surface and you haven’t seen anything yet!💜💜💜welcome to the hole
Their leap to receiving big awards started in 2016, only three years after their debut. Even they were surprised to reach their group dream so soon. Love Fire.
And I know tons of people are probably recommending MMA 2019 award show performance, but I strongly recommend not rushing into it. Check out all the songs on the set list individually first. A lot of meaning behind the performance is lost if you don't. They put a lot of thought into it, so I find it most satisfying when reactors take the time to go through the set list individually first. People are always too eager to rush reactors into MMA, which doesn't do the performance justice for how much effort they put into it. So far, I know of only one reactor Anthony Ray who took the time to go through all the songs individually first, and his reaction to MMA has been the best I've ever seen. As a general rule, he usually doesn't watch any live performances until he's heard the studio version first, either the music vid or a lyric vid. I like that a lot. I also would strongly recommend doing their MMA 2018 performance first before doing 2019. It's also really really good, but shorter so it helps to kind of ease yourself into 2019. The set list for MMA 2018 is: - Fake Love - Airplane Pt. 2 - Idol The set list for MMA 2019 is: - Intro : Persona by RM (the music video is titled "comeback trailer") - Boy in Luv - Boy With Luv - Mikrokosmos - No More Dream - Danger - I Need U - Fire - Save Me - Fake Love - N.O - Dionysus
wait til you get to 2019 MMA Performance, it will knock your heads out coz that is one EPIC performance.. even if you check their debut performance you’ll see the fire in their eyes (also the eyeliner 😅) but they always perform at their best. they never give a meh performance.
This perf always has a special place in my heart coz it's the 1st BTS performance an an award show with other kpop artists that they really outshine everyone else.. THIS was it.. before that they always have to share the stage with other grp, or were not given enough budget or the camera work was shoddy or the crowd wasn't there for them..but this perf really announced to the world the arrival of BTS.. i think since this performance, the crowd always can't help but lose themselves whenever BTS is on stage.. even if they claimed they're not BTS fans (i met a few of these ppl *snorts*).. i would always find these ppl jamming the hardest during BTS perf lol 😂
9:30 There’s actually a good number of ARMY that are into heavier music! For example, I got into bts in 2017 and at that time, the other artist I was listening to the most was Marilyn Manson. Another artist I love (probably 2nd to bts now) is System of a Down. People might think they’re totally different but what got me into bts was the theatrics of their performance, which is something metal/alternative groups are known for. I then got into the songs themselves and came to appreciate various styles of music more people of them. Hell, my grandma loves bts performances and she has KISS and AC/DC discs in her glovebox still. She might not be in as deep as I am but that’s proof that bts really brings people from all different music backgrounds together to admire their mastery of their work.
@@thesoundcheck666 One of my fave performances by them was their opener for their Yet to Come in Busan concert! It was actually a free concert that 50,000 people attended in person (50 million viewers live online). For some context, it had been BTS’s dream for a long time to give a free concert like this for their fans. It was almost 2 hours long and took place in October 2022 right before they announced that the members would be enlisting for mandatory military service (Jin was the first member to go and went in December 2022). They performed Mic Drop and Run BTS (not to be confused with their song just called “Run” or their own variety show called “Run BTS!”). Here’s the link to the performance on their own channel - ua-cam.com/video/XigGbzte8Wg/v-deo.htmlsi=JAgGp17m7bNW_0Eo It’s a “BTS Focus” which means the camera stays on the members and doesn’t pan out to the crowd or show the whole big stage. I like it since it’s easier to see their dance this way. Hope you enjoy! 😁🫰🏻
BTS don't just make music they create works of art that no other can emulate no matter how hard they try. Nothing BTS do is ever coincidental either there's always a common thread to link each era, Jin usually plays the part of a fictional character that runs through much of their work. I'm 59 years old and UK army. I have to say that I've seen many groups come and go but none like BTS. I can't express enough how much I admire and respect them, they went through unimaginable things that no one should have to endure. They were mocked, mistreated, disrespected but they had steely determination and made it to where the are now. Companies are always saying they will find the next BTS, they won't succeed though because BTS are a perfect storm of 7 individually talented men who together are unstoppable. They are my light. They say BTS finds you when you need them and I certainly think that's true. My 7 angels who I defend from their ill intentioned and ignorant haters.
Their award shows beat anything you can imagine. Check out 2018 at the MAMAS. First its great but the upped the anti for the next year. So if you watch them in order you will not astounded by each.
Their performances always shock and amaze They have to see more, old and new, you will be amazed and know the importance of BTS. Bts is such a next level of music and dancing and producing.....
Just giving my feedback - it would nice if reactors watched the music vid and dance practice video, and then a live performance afterwards for a song! Then you get a whole package. Of course, you can do it however you like, just letting you know what would be more satisfying to me as a viewer. This performance of Fire was only one song from their performance at an award show called MAMA 2016, if you watch their whole MAMA 2016 performance it's much more impressive and satisfying.
This is one of many examples of BTS turning awards shows into their own concert. They never give a lazy performance. They just care too much about their art.
What gets me is that this wasn't even their concert-- this is an awards show! But listen to the crowd, and watch their reactions. Even the other idols are just in awe.
Cool reaction. They can do so much and fit into any genre and image that you’ll soon see that it’s refreshing. You have found this generations entertainers. Actual people who have made it their profession to be entertainers (singing rapping dancing, stage performing, fitting their costumes makeup and image for each display, giving the proper energy and emotion for each song and lyric). Finally, right?
Hello guys, thanks for your good vibes. I recommend SUCHWITA's first program, SUGA and RM talk about music, musical production, their lyrics, the length of their songs. It's illuminating to hear them talk about their creative process, plus they ran out of whiskey😁 BTS is amazin!!!💜
Live BTS is the best BTS. One of my favourite performances is their Ugh one during the pandemic, so no audience but they still kill it and bring so much energy. Will put a link below, but might I suggest that you watch the DKDKTV explanation of this song first, so you fully understand what a fabulous song it is and enjoy the live better.
Sadly the Enjoy BTS channel, which had the good quality footage with English subtitles, has been taken down. So this link is to the quality footage but has no subtitles. Please make sure to watch explanation of Ugh first therefore, or it will be meaningless. ua-cam.com/video/N4Xm7SIqEQ4/v-deo.htmlsi=YJKzPEwuKRs3FOtG
One night back in 2017, I ran across this video. I had never seen a group this talented before. You must understand that that the videos of that time, were hot girls, twerking around a pool, guys with gold chains and champagne was flowing. Video after video, it was monotonous! To see this talent, blew my mind. You have to see them in Concert! All concerts are great but BTS puts on a spectacular. It's incredible! You have to see them.
Thank you so much. Heavy music has been itched into the fibers of my soul from well before this life time. So when a friend of mine introduced me to BTS, at first I could see their immense talent but was not in the BTS world yet. Until I heard their harder repertoire like Fire, NO, all the Cephers, ON, Mic Drop (the Steve Aoki version), We Are Bulletproof Pt. 2, Not Today, Attach On Bangtan, Dionysus, UGH!, Spine Breaker, Whalien 52, No More Dream, and Interlude: Shadow(Agust D/Suga of BTS) Daechwita, Agust D, D-Day, Haegeum, Burn It, Give It To Me, and The Last, (JHope of BTS) MORE & Arson. Then I became Army.
At the beginning when you said, 'let's see if they live up to it', I actually involuntarily scoffed aloud! You're in for a ride! I've been Army for years and had my mind blown so.many.times. No one does it like Bangtan! Btw, it's nice to see some fellow Aussies finally finding these incredible guys!
And for sure I'll recommend you Mic Drop + Run BTS live at Busan Yet to Come concert! The last concert they did all together before the military enlistment!
Live performances are always a win with them LOL. They have had hip hop as a part of their core from the very beginning so the purely pop isn't really their focus and is often the first thing newer reactors find first so they are usually surprised to find the more hype or harder tracks. It's ok. Yes, more than 300 tracks in their discography so plenty to dive in to. Enjoy!
Fire is such a big song- on variety shows in Korea if the weather’s hot, something’s cooking in the kitchen or a situation is heating up, fire will start playing in the background!
Watch the choreography videos to see how elaborate these performances are raw and you'll really be amazed at how hard they work and hos their work ethics is so admirable.
Their MMA 2019 performance is epic. (MMA = Melon Music Awards, is a big Korean music industry awards show.) Don’t know how much you know about the kpop industry, but kids audition for these entertainment companies, and if they get in, they train, usually for years, before they debut in a group. BTS debuted in 2013, but the earliest members joined Bighit Entertainment as trainees in 2010. The latest member is Jimin, who joined in 2012 and had only 6 months training before BTS’ debut.
Bts is the definition of a legend in the meaning of the word because it took us to a fantasy world of singing and dancing and their wonderful characters Bts can never have an alternative
They have A LOT of crasy live performances. Awards shows: All mama/mma 2019- GDA Grammys dynamite/butter. Bbma fake love. Answer love myself. Alot of their live performances have special versions, so some songs feels new and different. Other live performances: Magic Shop and also the others are mentioned in comments.
Just wait until you see the 2018 and 2019 MMA award shows--especially the 2019 MMA award show. Jaw dropping. Worth the 37 minutes of your time. Also the rap line outro tear at wembley is one of my faves. (Note: MAMA awards are also good but my recommendations are for the melon music awards-MMA)
Thank you for your reaction! To be fair the beginning is actually the end of their performance of another song: "Blood, Sweat and Tears". Yeah, we have no idea why that clip was cut that way either. Actually I believe this where they had an intro with the 2 main dancers, than BS&T and than Fire. As you can see RM is sweating heavily here as the choreo is pretty hard. Fire is about enjoying life because you are still young. To that you need to know that on average a highschooler learns 15 hours a day for exactly 1 test for years that pretty much decides the rest of their life and most likely if they can ever afford to create their own family. As a result with bad results a certain percentage tries again the next year and SK has one of the highest youth s* rates in the world - mental health is not cared for enough in SK. In fact J-Hope protests to be called a (dirt) spoon: he is human and more than his economic worth. It's very hard till impossible to rise up in SK's class system: a degree from a top university may archieve that but not much else. They sing: "It's okay to loose". Something that in SK in this way not many people have heard before (nor that often even in the West: it's alway bound to a "next time" or "x is more talented/better connected/cheated etc." or "you didn't learn/train hard enough so it is expected" or something like that. When you are trained for only one thing it can be hard to accept that it does not work. It's okay. You are still young. Suga ends with "I'll forgive you". You nice! Keep going! 💜
Oooh.. The full MMA performances from 2016 to 2019 are amazing!! Every time you thought they wouldn't be able to top to the performance from the year before, THEY DID! I'm sure you'll be getting into all the individual songs (with closer look at the lyrics) at some point as well, but just from a production, artistry and stage presense perspective, the show performances are all worth watching. (Chronologically in my opinion)
What is awesome about any korean live show is the audiences shut up so one can actually hear the group and enjoy the performance! Love it 👍 wish it would happen here at North American concerts
This really was an amazing performance but it's even more impressive because, even though you see them at high energy here, it wasn't the only song they performed. They had a grand dramatic intro with Jungkook then they had Jimin and J-Hope perform 'Boy Meets Evil' (a J-Hope solo song under BTS's album) and 'Lie' (a Jimin solo song under BTS's album) almost like a duet plus solos mixed. Then those two fell into line with the group and they immediately started performing 'Blood Sweat & Tears'. The very ending of that song is what you saw in the start of this video with Jin and V recreating a part of the MV. It was A Whole Production. They really were showing a high competency level for such a young group that didn't have a particularly long training period and where their final trainees were starting as beginners in many different aspects at once. I'm so proud of how well they'd been doing even back then and in their rookie days. Of course they shine brightly now with even more time to work on their craft. Some great live performances are: So What (no choreo so you can see their personalities and chemistry well) Anpanman Magic Shop Proof live (it's a medley of songs from the Proof anthology album) BTS Tiny Desk BTS Festa Room Live 2021 MAMA 2016 (the full performance that included the one in this vid) MAMA 2017, 2018 and 2019 (going in order really helps you see their growth) MMA 2017, 2018 and 2019 There's so much more but this is just a tiny tiny handful of personal/fan faves. These are all group songs but there are some great subunit performances too (eg. vocal line, rap line). They have some stong solo performances as well and some switcheroo performances where a memeber or members sing a song that's either not theirs or the swap roles (rappers sing or singers rap). Those are fun too since they're not taking themselves too seriously and it's just for the vibes. Oh and as for more long form documentaries, I'd suggest 'The Rise of Bangtan'. You can find it on UA-cam. It's fanmade but incredibly well done. It's broken up into chapters so it's perfect if you have an empty time slot each week that you want to fill with a 20-30mins video. There are about 21 chapters in total (plus bonus and deleted scenes videos for some chapters). ARMYs have a soft spot for that docu-series so we'll definitely tune in if you're worried that we wouldn't watch something that long.
As Min Yoongi said don't worry if you didn't discover BTS on early YEARS,because the day you found them are consider as their debut,The ARMY's will guide you and rewatch with you as long as it's BTS we will view long content..💜💜💜💜
I really enjoy watching rock-leaning folks lean into BTS, because that's the world I came from as well. There's that perception from the term "K-Pop" that all of BTS's music must be like Dynamite, but I was absolutely shocked to find out how hard they can go. A few recommendations from my rock-loving heart: J-Hope's solo songs More and Arson, Suga's solo stuff under his Agust D alter-ego, especially the songs Daechwita and Amygdala, Jimin's solo song Set Me Free, and the BTS songs Dionysus, ON (make sure it's the "Kinetic Manifesto Film" if you watch), and Fake Love. This is just a tiny sample of what they can do, but a great place to start. Thank you for your reactions, I hope you're enjoying falling down the rabbit hole. You'll be full fledged ARMY soon enough, my friends 😉
Jimin and Jhope dance intro for this award show is epic! I wish you watch that too and they also perform Blood, Sweat and Tears before Fire. Actually, all of their MAMA and MMA award show performances for each year are always extra and worth watching but my personal favorites are MAMA 2014, MMA 2016 and MMA 2018 and MMA 2019. Btw, to avoid confusion, MAMA and MMA are two different award shows. MAMA = Mnet Asian Music Awards MMA= Melon Music Award
Just to let you know that they had 2 previous performances prior to this Fire performance which was the finale. JHope and Jimin performed brief in-sync solo dances and then they all performed Blood Sweat and Tears where the ending of which was V uncovered his shoulders to show the scars from his wings as the fallen angel in BST and which you saw and mistook it as the intro to Fire. The lyrics of Fire is also very uplifting, giving encouragement to people who are feeling sorry for themselves. The official MV has English subtitles so you'll understand what their singing about.
This was epic concert...I love this live of Fire 🔥 🔥 🔥 Love how you guys enjoying BTS live performance...they are really lit tho...their live are the best 💜U
The cypher/ugh performance by the rap line at their Busan concert was rowdy and their live of Film Out really showcases their voices ( it's a slower song tho) can't think of any specific EDM type performance but check out the 2019 mama, the production is insane!
You only saw a part of the performance. They already performed Blood, Sweat and Tears. You should watch the entire performance. They sing and dance multiple songs live. Their stages are legendary. Their 2019 MMA performance is mega that lasts well over 30 minutes.
Great reaction. At this point (2016) BTS had had some success, but the company was still quite precarious, financially. BTS was very aware of this and under great stress. They were still so young. I like your recognition that all the elements of a performance are linked and important. The west really doesn't seem to understand Kpop, and sees it as rather 'accidental', thinking it is just singers who dance or vice versa. "Suga, asked about whether Kpop would be an accurate definition of BTS' genre, said ‘I’m a little bit wary of that but I think rather than approach Kpop as a genre, a better approach would be “integrated content”. ‘Kpop includes not just the music, but the clothes, the makeup, the choreography…all these elements I think sort of amalgamate together in a visual and auditory content package, that I think sets it apart from other music or maybe other genres so again, as I said, rather than approach Kpop as it’s own genre I think approaching it as this integration of different content would be better.’ Metro 28 10 2919" The hard work, talent and skill may be recognised, but is usually somewhat dismissed. You perceptively notice their hard work - in fact they are athletes. They train daily to maintain condition as well as to perfect performances. In their earlier years, BTS would commonly train 16 hours a day on a new piece or to prepare a performance: now, they say it is easier, but you're still looking at 10 hours a day, and if you factor in ALL THE REST (promotions, photoshoots, advert work, Vlives, Vlogs, Run BTS, In the Soop/Bon Voyage ... They literally had only about 4 days off in several years. You commented on how their minds must be racing in this performance, but I don;t think so. They train so much that their muscle memory makes most of it automatic - and the brain is a muscle too😏 I've seen them literally hear a couple of bars of music (from the middle of a song) and several all spontaneously start dancing in complete sync, because their bodies know - and it's just fun. . It needs to be like this because on stage, things happen, and they need to deal with it and to look after each other. Jungkook split his pants and never turned a hair, there can be equipment failures with in-ears or mic, and they need to still make the performance work. JHope had to push RM out of the way of a hole opening up in the stage, Jimin got stuck inside a bubble (which was supposed to burst) at the start of one performance (he just sang, and was completely unfazed, found it funny) etc. So, they need to have clear minds and make decisions on the hoof, everyone on stage needs to be able to work together - that only comes with hours of practice, and probably hours of thinking about all the things that could go wrong too, and training for them as much as possible. The teamwork is intense.
This is a whole set they did at that award show and this is the end part show they put on. These people in the audience we sure where members of another group attending the award show. This was the end of their set. First Jimin and J Hope dancing to their track Boy meets Evil were Jimin dances blindfolded. into Blood Sweat and Tears which you saw the very end of from where V is on stage with Jin. then you see the back up dancers in their brown robes as BTS run under the stage to get in place to come up further upstage (more into the audience) with the introduction to Fire.
MAMA and Mnet are awards shows, please check the full performances early days was 7 to 15 minutes on the last ones to BTS were given up to 37 minutes on almost non-stop performance time.
2019 MMA THAT’S THE BEST LIVE PERFORMANCE EVER!
Ooooo! We’ll have to add that one
I AGREE 100000000 PERCENT! hahaha they turned the award show performance into a full on concert!
Here is the setlist and concept for the MMA 2019 performance so you'll have a background and idea when you watch it for your reaction:
Songs:
1. Intro: Persona
2. Boy in Luv
3. Boy with Luv
4. Mikroskosmos
5. Solo stages where they perform to remixes of their older songs:
- V = No More Dream
- Jin = Danger
- Jimin = I Need You (Suga plays the piano solo for this ua-cam.com/video/JyHaRCMbx6A/v-deo.html)
- Suga = Fire
- Jungkook = Save Me (the MV for this was done in one continuous shot, it's really cool!)
- Jhope = Fake Love
- RM = Intro of Dionysus (which they performed as the finale)
Each member represented a Greek god:
V - Apollo, God of the Sun
Jin - Ares, God of War ( or Athena, God of Wisdom)
Jimin - Artemis, God of the Moon
Suga - Hephaestus, God of Fire
JK - Poseidon, God of Sea
J-Hope - Zeus, God of Thunder
RM - Dionysus, God of Wine
And the lights that come down before each solo performance make a star constellation, the Corona Borealis, seven stars (for 7 BTS members) that make up the distinctive crown-shaped pattern.
Agreed!!!! If you found this amazing, you should see the MMA 2019. There is no better live performance!!!!
True
I think you would enjoy this more if you knew the songs being performed first though.
Whoa!!! Okay.. we gotta see the others from this performance
@@thesoundcheck666 yes, watch it in its entirety, as it the stage was crafted
@@thesoundcheck666Please do. They’re so good. You would also get a taste of why both J-Hope & Jimin hold “Main Dancer” positions in the group. ;)
Also jk was hanging while RM was narrating with good visual effects of the feathers.
BTS was also the first non Big 3 group to win Artist of the year daesang at a Korean award show in 2016, they truly paved the way💜💜
This is where tjey won their first ever major award in their entire career and their reactions were PRICELESS they couldn't believe it, like they were all shook it was honestly so cute, their eyes widended at the same time and they suddenly stood up and thought they were drealing
you should put FULL PERFORMANCE when searching for their MAMA live performances so that you can watch it completely
We looove QLD!! We definitely want to check that out 🙌🏻
I can see you've got confuse when V was deep into his character in the end part of Blood Sweat and Tears (BST). In this MAMA, BTS performed 3 songs:
- Boy Meet Evil (jhope and Jimin dance)
- Blood Sweat & Tears
- Fire
I recommend you to watch the MV of Blood, Sweat & tears then watch the explanation by Don't worry I'm not Afraid to understand the song and the act by Jin and V at the end (why V has a scar at his back and close Jin's eyes).
By the way, love you reaction 💜
Borahae
Absolutely. 💜
Dude their “N.O. + We Are Bulletproof 2” at 2019 MAMA made me headbang twice, guitars sounded amazing with their voices 😅
We loved this live performance! What other live BTS videos should we check out?
For the rapline, i recommend chyper medley performance.
For the group, I recommend mma 2019 performance!
For Vocal line, you can watch 'Dimple'
And for Rap Line Daddeng
You can also watch the BTS Tiny Desk concert or the 2021 Fiesta BTS Room Live
Pls react to bts dimple and pied piper live performance
And run bts live in Busan Concert!!
Please react to

MMA : Melon Music Award
MAMA : Mnet Asian Music Award
AMA : American music award.
Because I'm sure many people will recommend BTS's appearance at MAMA and MMA.
All of their performances are out of this world - but MMA 2019 you can’t beat this performance - your eyes will pop out!!💜💜
If you want to check out their music videos, I recommend 'ON (Kinetic Manifesto Film).' It's definitely one of the songs that most ARMYs recommend to those who are just getting into BTS : ) You can experience amazing choreography, a dope beat drop, and nice lyrics!
🙂💜
Check this live medley out… its energy is incredible: Dope, Baepsae, Fire, Run…
The set list for MMA 2018 is:
- Fake Love
- Airplane Pt. 2
- Idol
The set list for MMA 2019 is:
- Intro : Persona by RM (the music video is titled "comeback trailer")
- Boy in Luv
- Boy With Luv
- Mikrokosmos
- No More Dream
- Danger
- I Need U
- Fire
- Save Me
- Fake Love
- N.O
- Dionysus
j-hope is the soul and spirit in ALL performances. j-hope is truly out of this world on stage
wait til you get to 2019 MMA Performance, it will knock your heads out coz that is one EPIC performance.. even if you check their debut performance you’ll see the fire in their eyes (also the eyeliner 😅) but they always perform at their best. they never give a meh performance.
If you get suggested a longer live show or performance don't worry about the length ARMY loves to watch long reaction videos.
2019 MMA performance ( i highly recommend that guys)
We’ve seen this been commented a lot! It has to happen!
Bts always show out at award shows 🔥. Their performances are big productions everywhere they go tbh.
Fire is literally 🔥🔥🔥🔥 especially live performances in award shows.
BTS live performances are always amazing!!!
That's so awesome to hear! We would love to take heavy music reaction suggestions from ARMY! 🫰
Here’s the link to the performance on their own channel - ua-cam.com/video/XigGbzte8Wg/v-deo.htmlsi=JAgGp17m7bNW_0Eo
It’s a “BTS Focus” which means the camera stays on the members and doesn’t pan out to the crowd or show the whole big stage. I like it since it’s easier to see their dance this way. Hope you enjoy! 😁🫰🏻
I Love this Song so much🔥💜💜
BTS performance is another level, my Kings never disappoint 7👑💜💜💜
Mama 2017 : Mic Drop with a slice of Cypher 4 at the beginning is my favorite too.
pls check BTS Mic Drop with Steve Aoki, ON Kinetic Manifesto and 2019 MMA live Bts full performance 👍🏼
U guys need to check full performance
Now I'm obsessed with your reactions 💜
Their award shows beat anything you can imagine. Check out 2018 at the MAMAS. First its great but the upped the anti for the next year. So if you watch them in order you will not astounded by each.
Their performances always shock and amaze
They have to see more, old and new, you will be amazed and know the importance of BTS.
Bts is such a next level of music and dancing and producing.....
All their MMAs ans MAMAs are so good!💜 maybe you can watch them in order?🫶🏼
I’m 52 years old and have seen many artists live. I’ve seen BTS live 4 times. They are by FAR the most amazing performers ever.
This was the year they won Artist of the Year for the first time...Also the first time a group not in the big 3 companies to won
This song brought me into fandom in 2016 💜
Keep it going, gentlemen!!! It is always nice to see new reactors. Thank you for showing appreciation to BTS. May your channel continue tp grow.
Thank you for your reaction to the BTS live show.🫶🏻💜😊
Live BTS is the best BTS. One of my favourite performances is their Ugh one during the pandemic, so no audience but they still kill it and bring so much energy. Will put a link below, but might I suggest that you watch the DKDKTV explanation of this song first, so you fully understand what a fabulous song it is and enjoy the live better.
Link to Ugh explanation video: ua-cam.com/video/Cq3nGiu0_gI/v-deo.htmlsi=8frzTrs8ThrFMAR7
Please check out their dance practices, too. They have one for Fire. 😊😊
Witness how they turn an award show into their very own f_ _ _ ing concert... Only bts can pull such performance amazingly through....
Thanks for the reaction ,guys ❤️🩹🫂
2, Not Today, Attach On Bangtan, Dionysus, UGH!, Spine Breaker, Whalien 52, No More Dream, and Interlude: Shadow(Agust D/Suga of BTS) Daechwita, Agust D, D-Day, Haegeum, Burn It, Give It To Me, and The Last,
(JHope of BTS) MORE & Arson. Then I became Army.
You’re so welcome!!
BTS are the kings of live performance💜
1:02 this why V kim taehyung king of stage idol of idols king of fancams 👍✨️✨️✨️😬
Love the reaction. & This is just your fist live..... There's many more to come....... 💜💜
Enjoy!
SHOW MAMA and MMA 2019 is AMAZING
I love this song 🎵 💜 V so crazy this iconic part always killed it 💜
Fire is such a big song- on variety shows in Korea if the weather’s hot, something’s cooking in the kitchen or a situation is heating up, fire will start playing in the background!
Watch the choreography videos to see how elaborate these performances are raw and you'll really be amazed at how hard they work and hos their work ethics is so admirable.
FAN FACTS: AFTER THAT PERFORMANCE THEY WERE SO EXHAUSTED BACK STAGE CAUSE THEY GIVE THEIR ALL ENERGY ON STAGE
BTS is known for their massive live performances. Cant wait for more!
You sould watch more of their performances
Im still obsessed till this day with a lot of them
Kpop gives it all to their performances ❤ its awesome to watch a kpop award show they always try their best 😊
So impressive!!
So excited for your reaction💜
Their MMA 2019 performance is epic. (MMA = Melon Music Awards, is a big Korean music industry awards show.)
Don’t know how much you know about the kpop industry, but kids audition for these entertainment companies, and if they get in, they train, usually for years, before they debut in a group.
BTS debuted in 2013, but the earliest members joined Bighit Entertainment as trainees in 2010. The latest member is Jimin, who joined in 2012 and had only 6 months training before BTS’ debut.
You'll really be blown away when you see thr 2019 MMA award show...might as well have been a total concert by BTS...no other bands even come close!!!
Bts is the definition of a legend in the meaning of the word because it took us to a fantasy world of singing and dancing and their wonderful characters
Bts can never have an alternative
They have A LOT of crasy live performances.
Awards shows:
All mama/mma
2019- GDA
Grammys dynamite/butter.
Bbma fake love.
Answer love myself.
Alot of their live performances have special versions, so some songs feels new and different.
Other live performances:
Magic Shop
and also the others are mentioned in comments.
You nice! Keep going! 💜
This performance hit so heavy, the stage nearly collapsed. Staff had to rush underneath to support while the boys finished the song.
Run BTS(or Mic Drop + Run Bts) in 2022 Busan Concert reaction plz. Legendary!
It's just sample you have to catch up more, love your reactions 💜
MAMA 2019 and MMA 2019 are some of BTS's incredible performances 🔥
Yeah bro V iconic part KILLED IT 🥵🥵🔥🔥🔥 V AND JK SO ADORABLE ❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉
Some great live performances are:
So What (no choreo so you can see their personalities and chemistry well)
Anpanman
Magic Shop
Proof live (it's a medley of songs from the Proof anthology album)
BTS Tiny Desk
BTS Festa Room Live 2021
MAMA 2016 (the full performance that included the one in this vid)
MAMA 2017, 2018 and 2019 (going in order really helps you see their growth)
MMA 2017, 2018 and 2019
There's so much more but this is just a tiny tiny handful of personal/fan faves.
You're already amazed by that how much more if you will watch a whole concert example the 2019 world tour or the 2021in LA and Las Vegas
MAMA = Mnet Asian Music Awards
MMA= Melon Music Award
Thank you so much for both of you react BTS, God Bless Sir!!
Thank u for reacting BTS, we will support your content more abt BTS💜
This was epic concert...I love this live of Fire 🔥 🔥 🔥
Love how you guys enjoying BTS live performance...they are really lit tho...their live are the best 💜U
CHECK RUN BTS DANCE PRACTICE 💜
Las presentaciones de BTS son otro nivel te hacen explotar la cabeza 👑🛐🤯🤯🤯😍😍😍😍🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥👏👏👏👏👏👏
The cypher/ugh performance by the rap line at their Busan concert was rowdy and their live of Film Out really showcases their voices ( it's a slower song tho) can't think of any specific EDM type performance but check out the 2019 mama, the production is insane!
Fire V is my favourite specially in this performance 😭
"Suga, asked about whether Kpop would be an accurate definition of BTS' genre, said
‘I’m a little bit wary of that but I think rather than approach Kpop as a genre, a better approach would be “integrated content”.
‘Kpop includes not just the music, but the clothes, the makeup, the choreography…all these elements I think sort of amalgamate together in a visual and auditory content package, that I think sets it apart from other music or maybe other genres so again, as I said, rather than approach Kpop as it’s own genre I think approaching it as this integration of different content would be better.’ Metro 28 10 2919"
The hard work, talent and skill may be recognised, but is usually somewhat dismissed.
MAMA and Mnet are awards shows, please check the full performances early days was 7 to 15 minutes on the last ones to BTS were given up to 37 minutes on almost non-stop performance time.
you should've watched the full performance of this mama 2016 up to the last one. most popular tho is mama 2019
