Hey just wanted to point out something that was pointed out to me about islands. Don't buy an island in the first available city because you will want the free transport ability from the MAIN city eventually. I bought an island and it's level 2 but I won't upgrade it any further as a result
Holy crap, in two years this game hasn't gotten better at explaining that you can't build until you expand to level 2 first? You would think coding professionals would learn from giving erroneous error codes to users and design more accurately. Hey, you can't build a farm until you level up your island to level 2. Instead we get an error code saying must be built on sandy ground or obstruction in the way. Things like this are very frustrating to the sandbox feel as you're navigating half-ass game design rather than figuring out how to build a village.
Great video, however you can indeed build anything on the first starting spot on the island, so unless you need storage it can sometimes be better to build something else there.
The travel TO your private island is only FREE from the town/city you started it from. Otherwise it gets VERY expensive per item your carrying like shipping. (Unless they patched this recently)
It can also be LOTS cheaper to buy the baby animals from the markets in citys. Once players have advanced past that teir of animals. They have no use, so last beta I was getting them for 100s not thousands for higher tiers.
I have a question . If I use a 3 day premium voucher and buy the island and the premium expires after 3 days can I still use the island and upgrade it?
So half watching the numbers it seemed like you need to sell 3-4 mounts before you see any profit(assuming you don't take island cost into account), is that correct?
I am very interested in buying and playing the game, I just have one question that i need to have answered in order to say i will or will not. DO i need to gather and craft my own stuff? I am more focused on PvP/GvG and am not really interested in crafting, gathering stuff. Can i just buy GOOD stuff on the market and make silver by just pvp/gvg or farming mobs?
Yes, you can just gain a lot of in-game currency and get your gear that way, but the prices are obviously going to sway depending on the rarity of the items or how complex they are to craft, so you could be paying quite a lot for high end gear, but yes you can do that instead of crafting. Also, when in open pvp zones, if you die, your gear can be looted and if you kill someone, their gear can be looted, so imagine paying top market price for a full set of high end gear only to get overzealous, step into a pvp zone, just to get destroyed by someone else and then have all your gear stolen. Not great, that's why its better to craft it. Hope this help you.
Very nice video! The more I learn about Albion the more I think that this game will have a very small player base very early! :( No one wants to play these mega grind MMORPGs anymore! :-/
for premium you can use in game money or real money and that gives your bonuses. It actually became free after earlier april tho, it's not so difficult without premium unless when you need to get an island or somthing. I think, I only just started sooo ye
Everyone complaining about P2W need to realize that those willing to put out money are paying for this game. No game is going to exist long term without some sort of income to continue paying developers and programmers etc. So whether it be a subscription model for everyone to pay or microtransactions, there will be a means to profit from this game. So those that cant or wont pay a dime get to play a game while the group that is willing to fork up money, funds this game.
Yeah, enticing players to BUY in game gold to speed shit up is scummy on TOP of premium monthly charge. If it was just monthly charge i'd be ok with that for Learn points only. I'm still playing the game and having fun with it, but I have not gotten to PVP and feeling the wrath of people who buy gold either, so we shall see.
you have no idea what p2w means, you are absolutely stupid and sounds downright pathetic. you also don't have a basic understanding of economics. please never comment again, it will save you from further humiliation.
The problem with P2W is that the amount of money you can spend on the game is pretty much endless. I would be fine with P2W if you'd be able to buy everything for +- 60 bucks, a normal price. But this is never the case... Before the whole MT hype you would get the complete experience if you bought a game for 60 bucks. You'd be able to get everything the game had to offer just by playing. Nowadays there are plenty of games which make it IMPOSSIBLE to collect everything unless you spend ridiculous amounts of money. To give a simple example: In order to unlock everything in Star Wars BF2 you would have to play at least 4500 hours OR spend 2,100 bucks... And this is not exceptional. Stop defending these pathetic money schemes ffs.
press B or find the build menu in the interface if you are playing on mobile. It is one of the options. There are multiple tabs on the build menu you just need to select the right one to find the house I haven't done it in a while so I don't remember off hand.
Why did I buy this game? the game is nice, complex pretty unique but I never learn one thing, these games are not for me, I am a person that gets bored very quickly of repetitive stuff, ah well, one more game to my collection box.
Albion seems insistant on making everything as annoying an non user-friendly as possible. Wanna craft stuff yourself? Nope! You have to either pay other players a fee or feed an NPC worker. Your character is totally helpless and incapable of crafting for themself. I love player-driven economies. Runescape is an amazing MMO. But this game takes it way too far. I'm also not a fan of forcing players to participate in and worry about PvP, especially for players like myself who prefer non-combat gathering roles.
Karma Nuggets either bring a valid response or fuck off. I’m chill until people bring in shit like “you’re wrong” without a valid argument. Its toxic and adds nothing to the conversation
"Runescape is a amazing mmo" ?? It WAS a great MMO. Albion doesnt hold your hand like rs does. And yes i played alot of osrs ( 2 ironmans ) the problem is everyone wants great rewards without any risk. Yea not gonna work here. You could try RS3 is this is to hard. I mean complete the rs3 tutorial. And your halfway to being maxed already.
So can islands be griefed? If not, what's to stop everyone from getting their own island? Seems like a bullshit mechanic that harms the whole pvp and economy elements of risk vs reward...
The island doesnt have any mobs or resources. Building high tier buildings is a waste of time because the cost is so high. Its only good for people that will craft till their fingers bleed. and you could always just use ur guilds building s instead. Its honestly a grindy farmville and a way to instance the farming
MaJetiGizzle what they could do is allow for players to pirate, so that when someone is transporting resources they either need to have a convoy or escort otherwise they'd be looted
If you are thinking about buying this, you should save their money. I bought the legendary founder pack and it's not worth it. ($145 down the drain, and yes I know it was stupid) I personally came from Runescape and it's nothing like. You are actually restricted in what builds you can make even though this game was advertised as classless combat. This pile of garbage should have been free to play from the start. It's not even going to be a game that stands out of the crowd, as there are so many better games. I tried to refund, as well as downgrade my pack not even 1 hour after I bought it and they wouldn't do it. Save your money and don't buy this junk. P.S There are also spies that sit in your guild chat and wait for you to leave the city with your valuables and then they kill you and loot all your stuff. I have proof of it as I was offered to get into the enemy guild by spying on my own guild. There is no way around it as you have to play with a guild and you end up having to go into PVP full loot zones at level 4. I tried contacting the devs and gave them proof but again they wouldn't do anything about it and said that it wasn't against the rules. This company is garbage as well as this game.
It wasn't against the rules. Cuz fundamentally, there is no rules. I'm pretty aware that you overated your mental capacity when you claim to know something that the devs dont know... So smart, dude...! Aren't you? At the beginning you rage quited the game, then you were back on a t5 red zone, being stolen by spies... There are a lot of strategy upon crossing red zones, mainly cuz travelling itself is a living mechanic on the game, and you couldn't get it yourself, could you? Pay for advantage. You can buy those things people would still have to grind for and so youd have the advantage of only grinding for 1 thing while they have to do both. Also you can buy a full guild island and buildings to make the crafting easier eventually where other people would grind a long time to even get that island
Its pay for convenience, not P2W. Pay for convenience, Not P2W.
MBER Its Pay for advantage. You can buy a whole guild island and all the buildings you need. You can pay for all the best gear and much more. Sure you have to grind it out. But while you are just grinding for skills, other people are still grinding for skills AND to get that gear you just bought lmao. You have an obvious advantage over other players and where competition matters, especially in a huge economy/trading game, you want an even playing field. This game is scummy. It allows people to be ahead if they pay and that is wrong in a video game. Im glad the game died on twitch. I dont have to keep seeing how crowd funded games keep disappointing real gamers.
I see where you are coming from on this and it does seem rather scummy, on the surface, yes you can pay for most for the buildings and gear with real money, BUT, thats just paying for those things initially, the gear you paid real money for can be lost entirely if you wander blindly into a pvp zone, the buildings you buy with real money need to be maintained in order to be used, which means you either craft the items or you purchase the items with real money if you buy an island, and then place 3 farms along with a 10 other buildings, that's 13 stations you need to maintain all the time, who is going to keep on dumping real world money and we at this point, are talking in the hundreds just to maintain the buildings never mind constantly buying high end gear, who is going to dump 100's per week into the game simply to maintain that? those people who are crafting their way to the top, will take longer to get their but they will be 10x more self sufficient and will be able to craft good gear on demand. its essentially, keep on dumping 100s of real money in the game to get to the top quickly and stay there or craft your way and be self sustaining.

Thanks for showing me how to get an island and how to make a mount. Very useful Information!
Hey man, I know im here waaay late, but as a new AO player your videos have been greatly helpful. Thank you very much and keep it up!
same!!
Thanks for making concise, easily understood tutorials. Liked and subbed.
Liked and subbed, this is exactly what i was looking for when i first looked for "albion guides" 2 days ago. Keep up the good work
Hey just wanted to point out something that was pointed out to me about islands. Don't buy an island in the first available city because you will want the free transport ability from the MAIN city eventually. I bought an island and it's level 2 but I won't upgrade it any further as a result
Thank you so much. I would have NEVER figured this out.
Only 1.6k for a ox 🧐 now it's like 39k
Yup found out that the hard way too...
now its more than that just today its almost 50k+
Yeah.....I went with a horse finally but had to sell gold I got from the fishing pack....20k for that horse and yeah....
Free to play launch did that lol
I just started playing Albion and now I'm hopeless to buy an island since I cant afford a 30 day premium *cries in poor*

just started with albion and i lovr ur videos
Great video, however you can indeed build anything on the first starting spot on the island, so unless you need storage it can sometimes be better to build something else there.
Very helpful Video... thanks for the Idiot Proof guide! :)
Most Videos i find are all trash....
Great Albion gameplay as always, looking forward to the official release!
the main assumption is that you can buy a mount with 10k silver. on release it will be wayyyy more expensive to get mounts early on even t3
Just FYI don't bet on refining on your island, because refining stations in cities give you automatic %15 return of the resources you put in.
Loved the video. Very helpful to me as a new player. Already hit the like and subscribe. Thanks mate!
You don't have to buy a mount! All you have to do is complete the first quest in the starting city and you get a free mount at the end!
The travel TO your private island is only FREE from the town/city you started it from. Otherwise it gets VERY expensive per item your carrying like shipping. (Unless they patched this recently)
Great guide, many thanks for making this.
Great video! Do you recommend a specific location/city to build private island for farming (in 2020)?
It can also be LOTS cheaper to buy the baby animals from the markets in citys. Once players have advanced past that teir of animals. They have no use, so last beta I was getting them for 100s not thousands for higher tiers.
Wish i had found this video earlier would have saved myself 3 days
Thank you again for that awesome Video!
If u get premium for farming do you keep your farm when premium expires
So you HAVE to purchase premium to get an island or can you use the three day free premium you get at the beginning and buy it then
nope, it needs at least 30 days of premium. 3 days free premium is just 3 days
I have a question . If I use a 3 day premium voucher and buy the island and the premium expires after 3 days can I still use the island and upgrade it?
nice, thank you! but it is worth it? raising mounts? do you have a video about that? some calculations and so on :) would be cooL!
awesome guide thanks!!
Does it always require you to purchase 30 more days to make an island? Or can you make an island straight away if you buy the initial 60 day package?
No, you dont have to stay a premium member
Very nice video !! we want more :)
thanks for this tutorial man, goodjob.
This game is quite amazing!
Great video, sad i only watch this now. sorry for my bad english
can we not bye an island without getting premium
I have a question, even If I buy a mount wouldnt I have to unlock the achievement to ride it?
So half watching the numbers it seemed like you need to sell 3-4 mounts before you see any profit(assuming you don't take island cost into account), is that correct?
Sounds about right
I am very interested in buying and playing the game, I just have one
question that i need to have answered in order to say i will or will
not. DO i need to gather and craft my own stuff? I am more focused on
PvP/GvG and am not really interested in crafting, gathering stuff. Can i
just buy GOOD stuff on the market and make silver by just pvp/gvg or
farming mobs?

What if i have an island and my premium ends? I can't enter it? Does it save so when I get premium again i can get my island back? How does it work?
Once you buy an island thats it you wont lose it
but can you enter it if you chose not to buy premium for one month?
yes
So friends can share an island right?
Best Explained video. Thanks a Zillion!!
U got urself a new subscriber!!
Does the farming stuff go bad after 22h? Some people need to work and cant be back the exact time :/
If u have 29 days of premium u cant buy a island?
I got a fucking horse and I feels like the same speed as the donkey
only higher tier horse seem to be faster and all horse carry more weight, not as great like ox in carring alot goods, but gets you to places faster
focus refill by itself or do you need to do something special?
It slowly refills automatically
So - if I play with a friend, we have to get one single island and not two?
Is he gonna be able to upgrade buildings?
yes he can upgrade all you have to do is give him rights! He can make his own islands as well which is preferred
Thanks bud!
why is their no build button??
This game has all the best stuff from a lot of my fav games. You can clearly see how they are heavely inspired by EVE Online and Runescape
Guys, can somebody help with how to get ox to pasture ?
Very nice video!
The more I learn about Albion the more I think that this game will have a very small player base very early! :(
No one wants to play these mega grind MMORPGs anymore! :-/
Correction!
I do.
There is one!!!!
Is it just me or did everyone see that you lose profit raising these yourself? You sold it on the market for 7k but it cost 12.5k to buy and raise it
As your skill increases you can get two or 3 back so you take a loss in the beginning.
at first i thought it was ben brode speaking
F.... miss him so much in HS
Does this game have micro transactions, p2w aspects? I really doubt its free.
for premium you can use in game money or real money and that gives your bonuses. It actually became free after earlier april tho, it's not so difficult without premium unless when you need to get an island or somthing. I think, I only just started sooo ye

OWOWOWOWOWO VİDEONUN RESMİNDE TÜRK BAYRAĞI VAR OWOWOOWOW ASARIM Bİ DAL
Why does no one show how to build the first house? i cant figure it out.
press B or find the build menu in the interface if you are playing on mobile. It is one of the options. There are multiple tabs on the build menu you just need to select the right one to find the house I haven't done it in a while so I don't remember off hand.
It ended up being H on PC. And there was no direct button for build interface. Gotta love an alpha lol
That is odd it is still B on my windows install. H does nothing for me. But i'm glad you figured it out.
very helfull
The starting questline gives you a mount... :/ Takes about 2h...
Now yes because the game is released, two months ago when this video was taken? not so much
Oh I see. Did not know that.
Why did I buy this game? the game is nice, complex pretty unique but I never learn one thing, these games are not for me, I am a person that gets bored very quickly of repetitive stuff, ah well, one more game to my collection box.
I see that it was not so wise to not play beta
Dude bought the ox of auction can't even craft it with out an island....... wow really
Wtf I can double click to run wtf
Why there is a turkish flag in albion logo ?
Albion seems insistant on making everything as annoying an non user-friendly as possible.
Wanna craft stuff yourself? Nope! You have to either pay other players a fee or feed an NPC worker. Your character is totally helpless and incapable of crafting for themself.
I love player-driven economies. Runescape is an amazing MMO. But this game takes it way too far. I'm also not a fan of forcing players to participate in and worry about PvP, especially for players like myself who prefer non-combat gathering roles.
You're wrong.
Adam Kadda lol i love when idiots like you blurt out shit without any real argument.
EgyptianNinja Well that's good to hear, doesn't make me want to get the game any more or less, but at least that doesn't make it completely shit.
MaJetiGizzle what they could do is allow for players to pirate, so that when someone is transporting resources they either need to have a convoy or escort otherwise they'd be looted
I think its gona be one more pay 2 win game with that premium
You can buy Premium with in-game currency, so you can attain that status without real money
first
awooooo
*i'm talking about raising wolves*
If you are thinking about buying this, you should save their money. I bought the legendary founder pack and it's not worth it. ($145 down the drain, and yes I know it was stupid) I personally came from Runescape and it's nothing like. There is no fun in PVE what so ever and it's just a repetitive grind with no real rewards other then getting small amounts of silver and experience points. There are also no mini games.
Kimbo Slice damn i ve bought thr game today and now i totally regret it
That sucks man I hope you only bought the least expensive pack.
Haters will hate
It wasn't against the rules. Cuz fundamentally, there is no rules. I'm pretty aware that you overated your mental capacity when you claim to know something that the devs dont know... So smart, dude...! Aren't you? At the beginning you rage quited the game, then you were back on a t5 red zone, being stolen by spies... There are a lot of strategy upon crossing red zones, mainly cuz travelling itself is a living mechanic on the game, and you couldn't get it yourself, could you? Keep up your beautiful dev advices for the seek of...what was you saying?
after watching this video, i decided to quit the game!
can't blame you, i even get told to reroll my gear to min max as effective tank with guardian armor as oppose to my assassin jacket, mage cowl and soldier boots! RIP
Albion Online ist kaput...its over...bye bye
This game has a scummy p2w garbage system
Pay for convenience. You could buy the best gear in the game, sure, but how will you be able to use it without putting in hours and grinding out the experience to obtain the ability to use it?

THEY GAME SUCKS SO BAD. Terribl Mechanics. They could learn from Ulimta Online. over a million people still play that.
Nice guide
