It makes perfect sense what you are saying. I started taking magnesium glycinate last night and while it is very relaxing and calming, it has reduced my tiredness so much that I lie in bed awake.If one has been having sleep problems one should feel tired. One of the best things I have found to help me is i would wake up and just lye there not in pain or have anxiety but just couldn't get sleepy I would get up get a drink of water sometimes with baking soda run a warm bath with food grade Epsom salt massage my face and head and go back to bed and sleep well

I think those moves are okay and may help, but I've never seen anyone fix insomnia with those steps. It seems to be more about understanding what is going wrong with body chemistry and causing the insomnia.

I think when I got off eating too much carbs, woke up early in the morning and had some amount of exercise helped me sleep better at night

Melatonine gives me nightmares.
