What's your favorite Star Wars: The Clones Wars unfinished arcs that were later adapted into novels or comic books?
Ahsoka: The novel, especially the audiobook version.
I continuation of Maul's Shadow collective and individuals with ties to them.
Darth Maul: Son of Dathomir and Dark Disciple
Asajj Ventress: Dark Disciple
Dark Disciple and Son Of Dathomir truly are TOP TIER Star Wars content and we as fans deserve to see those two stories in animation. Not only do the fans deserve it but the characters of Maul, Talzin, Ventress, Vos, Dooku & Sidious deserve to have some of their BEST moments animated in their full glory.
The fact that the Grand Inquisitor was one of the Temple Guards during Barriss' trial makes everything about her Inquisitor training under him even MORE intense. _I cannot wait!_
also does she know Vader is Anakin?? As in the man who put her in prison in the first place?
I hope we see the GI perspective of the end of clone wars
how did his head fit in those helmets bruh
@@sang1342I don’t why, but I think that’s the reason she is gonna die haha because she discovers who he is
@@ebanksstudios Holy shit! I never considered THAT. Can you imagine: Seeing his perspective of what happens, once Lord Vader enters The Jedi Temple? Did The GI kill all of the other Jedi Sentinel Guards, to make it easier for The Jedi to be massacered? Did he know that Anakin was his new Master? Did Lord Sidious inform him of what was about to happen, before The 501st showed up to The Jedi Temple? Did Jedi Master Kelleran Beq encounter him, while trying to save the Younglings? Even 5 minutes of all of this in this miniseries, would be INSANE.
I love how Grievous got the biggest reaction.
Lucasfilm has had his model in their back pocket ever since Siege of Mandalore. Had to get him eventually
It's almost like they should just actually finish the Clone Wars stories they planned because people get most excited by even just glimpses of that prospect. But instead, we are offered fractions of pennies on the dollar as far as product, quality, quantity, etc.
@@Col.Roy_Mustang Have you really wasted your time commenting under every single comment? Do you really have nothing better to do with your life?
@@unincognito3689 Like you tracking them down to write..that? Irony is beautiful. That would also imply you are sifting through loads of comments yourself, doing....? It’s been 11 years since we saw Barriss. Finally they remember her.
Back in 2015 Filoni said that she would return and he returned that promise
I don't see why people care one way or another. She's not that special or cool. She had about 2 episodes in clone wars and somehow she's regarded as one of the greatest of all time even though she's literally nothing. Weak and foolish, who needed to use secret and cowardly tactics to win a fight. And even then, she got caught on her first real mission by herself and got locked up for years because of it. So dumb. Waste of money and a waste of my time as a star wars fan when they could create content around real characters with real intelligence and real power.
@@theoneinthemiddle5553 She's a jedi that who's ultimate fate was unaccounted for. Of course people are going to want to know the rest of that story.
@@theoneinthemiddle5553Pretty sure you're in the minority here. Most fans really want to see what happened to Barriss, especially after Order 66.
@OrionInSpace no matter how long that promises is he makes it happen like having bo katan in live action
The forest she’s burning is Corvus. That’s why it’s all charred when Mando arrived
Thank god we got that thread resolved. Entirely unrelated, I wonder if Maul is still screaming on the floor to this day? [Yes I know they made a comic, yes I still chose this as an example.]
@@Col.Roy_Mustang Knowing Maul, probably. He does like to lament through screaming.
Seeing Grevious again gave me goosebumps, man am I excited
I just can't wait to add this series to my collection

*clears throat very loudly for you*
Stuart Snyder, who oversaw Cartoon Network and other Turner Broadcasting System cable networks from 2007 to 2014, said he became interested in the new Clone Wars series immediately upon starting the job in May 2007. Snyder flew out to San Francisco, California to screen several episodes, and told Lucas the only place he wanted to see the show was on Cartoon Network. Snyder wished to create an action/adventure block of shows on Friday night in an attempt to rejuvenate Cartoon Network. Snyder expressed confidence that the shows would help boost ratings: "You catch me at a time where I have a smile on my face because of our internal results. I can say there's a little bit of bragging on the third quarter for us."[35]
Lucas considered excluding the "Young Padawans" arc from Season 5 and airing it separately from The Clone Wars as a feature-length pilot for a spin-off series that never materialized. The pilot film was shown at Star Wars Celebration.[36] Seasons 6, 7, and 8, were in some form of production at the time of the show's cancellation in March 2013, shortly after Lucasfilm was purchased by Disney.[7][37]
So...the show was cut off at the FULL SEASON 5, CORRECT, TODD? Season 6 was added to Netflix at 12 episodes, a full season IF YOU REMEMBER is 22 episodes, so almost half a season. "Season 7" was 12 episodes. Add season 6 and 7, you get one season length total, so we have one season total post season Fives completion. That totals 6 seasons at the most, and it is being kind to consider the first 2 arcs of "The final season" as "episodes". So, assuming the total combined episodes would in reality make up the 6th season of Clone Wars, that concludes that a full season 7 and 8 at the least were in the works when Disney bought lucasfilm, each season is 22 episodes. So at minimum 44 episodes to come.
Thanks for showing up for class today, Dalton.

If you fail to remember, Dalton, a full season of SWCW runs for 22 episodes. The shows final full season was season five before Disney bought Lucasfilm. When "season 6" was added to Netflix it was all they had "fully animated and voice acted" and is only 12 episodes [half a full season]. The "Final season" Disney put out, is also 12 episodes equaling one FULL season combined. So, if they stopped at season 5 officially, that makes enough episodes for 6 total seasons. They had plans written, as stated above through 8 seasons. At that time, they know a season is 22 episodes. 6+2=8

How the animation of the Star Wars series has improved never ceases to amaze me, I think Fire, Earth and Lighting have never looked better, and well, the villain models look God Tier

I love the explosions. They are like green with rainbow in it. 👁👄👁
For those wondering here’s how Dave Feloni talked about the character of Barriss in 2015 with where we left off with her: "In the original script, Barriss died at the end of the episode. She blew up her prison cell, and her along with it... But I didn't want that fate for Barriss, so I cut that part. And I had plans for Barriss, and still do... Do Ahsoka and Barriss ever meet again? That's a great question. It would make a great story, but not a story we'll tell today."
9 years later, he’s fulfilling that promise .🙏🏻
Man, if Ahsoka and Barriss meet again, that’s gonna be emotional
I hope Ventress, Barriss and others form their own "Dark Jedi" Rebel cell. We only saw a handful of appearances from Ahsoka in the Empire period and we really know nothing, she may as well have had involvement with them in addition to working with Phoenix Squadron, rescuing force sensitive children and being a nomad. Be interesting to see Ahsoka in her 20's in the first decade of the Empire leading this dark Jedi crew before she decided to be an advisor to the Alliance. Or maybe it never ended, and we just never saw it.
@@neofulcrum5013 that’s how I think they’re doing this. I think they’re going to make her an inquisitor as we see in the trailer and then her first mission is going to be her being sent after Ahsoka and she might die.
@@kevinzhang6623 idk if Ventress would ever do that considering she also had the relationship with Voss who’s a Jedi
@@OrionInSpace i dont think so. i think similar to TOTJ this will end with both protagnist making different choices at the end to the circumstances(the theme being the cycle of hatred both characters ending up working for who they were against).
Bariss is not with the Empire she is just trying to survive so i think instead she might choose to save the jedi or something a long those lines. She might even kill the 4th sister but other then that im not sure if she will survive herself.
“Tales of the Underworld”
A series focusing on the crime syndicates of the galaxy…perhaps it tunes into Crimson Dawn and Mauls rule over them all too, could be cool to get more Maul content.
How about a Star Wars show about politics.
Tales of the Senate it could focus on characters such as Padmè, Bail Organa or Leia. Three of the stories cold take place during the Republic And three during the Empire....
@2apocalypsex that's a fantastic idea, hope they go that route eventually
It’s been 28 years. Bring back _Tales of the Bounty Hunters_
I suggest also to create Tales of the Clones with Rex as protagonist of the first three stories. Rex's first story will see his birth and training as a cadet on Kamino, the second story about his promotion, when he become captain and the third and last story, the Battle of Endor. And for the other clone's story I don't know who to choose between Omega and Cut Lawquane.
Tales of the Old Republic.
I like how Bariss is the first to kneel in that scene. Wonder if she knows it's Anakin, if she's going to double cross them or if she's that loyal.
The absolute dripping irony of Barriss serving under Lord Vader after Anakin was the one who had her arrested. I LOVE IT!! LETS GO!!
“Bow ya shits” in king Robert’s voice when Lord Vader walks in
I had the same thought about them getting some mileage out of those sweet CW S7 models for Grievous and Vader. And then to get the Grand Inquisitor and Thrawn in this animation style, plus Marrok and of course Morgan Elsbeth? LET'S. GO.
Or just finish SWCW and do this simoultaneously.
ive realized that im more excited to see the wave squadron reactions more than i am to see the actual star wars content.
Disney sure has tanked the animation department
@@Col.Roy_Mustangwell I don’t know about that. This “looks” fantastic!
@@leonwilliams9589 No no I agree, visually it looks incredible. I mean more so the Lucasfilm animation writers.
Yeah depressing the state Star Wars is in. At least Andor was great along with Ahsoka being pretty good imo and I’m excited for this with how much I loved Dooku’s episodes and one of Ahsoka’s in season 1
The fourth sister is the one in the trailer who recruits Barris to the Inquisitorious. From the Kenobi series.
I want Tales of the Bounty Hunters now, give us Boba in his prime
It would be a good way to finally give us that unfinished duel from the tcw
No let's focus on some others like Embo, Sugi, or Latts Razzi.
💯💯💯
@@Noah-ns3xc Could do an episode or two for each hunter tbh
Don't you mean the Book of old grumpy useless honor bound talkative fett?
Barriss, Morgan, The Grand Inquisitor, Thrawn AND Vader!?!?!
I can’t take that much awesomeness in one show! Also I knew that Barriss was going to be an inquisitor because she shares their ideals and the Emperor would not want to waste an asset.
The updated Grievous model was created for the unifinished Crystal Crisis arc of Clone Wars
Didn’t they use that model briefly in the first episode of bad batch
@@Fernando5455JrFirst episode of Siege of Mandalore arc
@@Fernando5455Jr Yes
Hope they finish those unfinished arcs one day
@@lifedeatherThey won't, nostalgia baiting you with a single clip, new model, and 6 episodes rather than the 40-60 missing SWCW episodes is quicker money with nostalgia bait, rather than high effort and practicing in good faith.
It's crazy that both Barriss and Ventress were last seen 11 years ago in the _same_ TCW episode, and now we get both of them back around a week apart! So damn awesome! Barriss was one of my favorite TCW characters when I was a kid, so I'm beyond excited to finally get the answers we've been searching for.
I would be so down for just a bunch of different "Star Wars: Tales" series' to dive into any of the more notable characters we have seen in the past.
Tor example, Tales of the Hunters could flesh out Boba and Cad's history, with the bonus of making The BoBF finale make slightly more sense, or look into Ventress moving to more of a gray position in the force, maybe bring back that one girl she worked with that had the cool green snake-scarf thing.
You mean Star Wars the Clone Wars?
@@Col.Roy_Mustang funny, but the clone wars is a very limited time period, and as we can see even then there are loose threads to explore
@@RyderDunei funny=correct
After 15 years, we're FINALLY gonna know what happened to Barris after the Clone Wars.
It's kinda crazy how few years back, during Rebels, a lot of people speculated that the 7th sister was Barris. And while I still don't think it's exactly true, to see her become an Inquisitor is pretty crazy to say the least.
I do imagine that once Vader sees her, he's either gonna kill her on the spot or send her on a suicide mission 😂
Potential theoretical spoiler just in case:
.
.
.
.
.
When taking a look at the official poster, there appears to be one figure that's hard to make out since they're blurry. But people have speculated that that figure is Ahsoka since her montrals are somewhat shown under its hood. Because of that, there's a chance that she'll appear in the show, which could also mean that Ahsoka and Bariss would officially meet, which would end up being Bariss's downfall/death.
I had the widest grin watching this entire vid🤣🤣🤣
What if they make Barriss kill Luminara as a challenge? they even wear the same prisoner clothes
Also i can't wait to see how Vader is going to react when seeing Barriss after all that happened to Ahsoka
In the rebels TV series, the grand inquisitor mentions that luminara 'died with the republic', which I guess could be taken a few ways, but I think it means she died during order 66.. but her body was used to lure other lost jedi into an inquisitor trap so I guess it is possible the nature of her 'death' could be shown here.
@@bend7726Then again Bariss is being taken away by the red Coruscant guard here meaning this could happen just a few months or even weeks after Order 66.
Imagine we get Tales of the Separatists, in which we focus on leaders like Grievous
You mean the animated UNFINISHED 40-60 EPISODES OF A SHOW called Star Wars the Clone Wars where we followed the Separtists and Grevious that they refuse to finish because reasons? Sounds awesome, can't wait, well longer than 11 years I guess.
@Col.Roy_Mustang Out of curiosity, where exactly does that leave you as far as what we have gotten? Cause with how much you've talked about the unfinished content, this seems to imply anything else wasn't satisfactory for you and by default will never be. Did you like any of the Siege of Mandalore, for example? What about events from the unfinished content that were retroactively changed, such as Boba and Cad Banes original shootout happening amidst all the bounty hunters instead happening years later?
I would love a "Tales of the Sith" series, with hopefully some Darth Revan and Old Republic
I love that this animation style just gets better and better with each show/season. Recent Bad Batch is already damn amazing visually so I am curious to see how the animation continues to evolve.
Also, while I am still hesitant because of Disney, if they randomly announced one day a Tales of the Old Republic or Tales of the Sith series that focused on the ancient sith, I would be more hyped than I have ever been for Star Wars.
Now, we just gotta work on that writing and character development.
Just want to say that you guys have the absolute best and most fun Star Wars reactions and thoughts on UA-cam period!
In the '90's there were a GREAT set of "Tales of..." books like "From Jabba's Palace" and "From The Empire" and "of the Bounty Hunters."
SUPER great travel reads. VERY good stories and what a lot of the characters treatments and backstories came from.
Very excited for both of these stories! Dis gon b gud.
Finally...was waiting for you guys to react to this trailer...I always love your reactions...this trailer for these shorts looks cool...can't wait for this to drop on May 4th...will definitely be watching.
I still say grievous needs his own origin horror movie
Separatist a Star Wars story with the separatist taking down a greater threat
I owned Tales From Jabba's Palace back in the day, reread it quite a bit
This is exhilarating, get excited Wave Squadron. For the Empire
The genuine joy you bring to every Star Wars reaction is amazing ❤
What I’m hoping for after this is a “Tales of the Exiled”
One story is about Baylan Skoll during the Clone Wars and after
And the other is of Thrawn and Ezra during their exile
Was waiting all day for your guys reaction!! So excited for this
I have been looking forward for this
One day many years in the future i dream that we will get a good Tales of The Old Republic series to go alongside the movies they have planned and all their other Old Republic TV series that im sure will be made.
Anakin/Vader walking bast Barriss like..."We've met, right?"
I didn’t think they’d react to this trailer but I’m hyped!
MY BOI GRIEVOUS IS BACK!!!
I want to see a "Tales of the Bounty Hunters" series. Lots of bounty hunter characters in Star Wars whose stories could be told.
We need tales of the sith next. Like follow a young Palpatine and see Plagueis or something
They need to make [ Tales of the Roger-Roger]
I hope they do a Tales Of The Outer Ring or Tales Of The Unknown. I bet they can make some crazy stories.
Or even Tales of Wild Space could be cool too
That title transition echo's (no pun intended) to when the first look at The Bad Batch did a similar thing to The Clone Wars logo. Animation is on another level. The dirt and tear when Morgan is on her knees, punching the ground. Art. Barriss.... holy! Imagine what the Kiners have up their sleeves!! Wonder how much of Thrawn will tie into his books/comic adaptations, if so. Great reaction, can't wait for the show.
I feel like they could totally bring Bariss back from being an inquisitor and make her Ahsoka's "padawan" in a way, not that Bariss is at that level: but that she'd need to learn how to embrace both the light & dark. Either that or a final duel with Ahsoka, Maul-Kenobi style. Hyped.
I've been looking forward to this.
WHEN I LEFT YOU I WAS BUT THE LEARNER NOW I AM THE MASTER.
CRAZY THAT LINE IS ECHOED WITH VADER’S APPEARANCE AS A MASTER WITH NEW PADAWANS.
I just SMH every time I think about how incredible episodes VII-IX would have been if Filoni were in charge....
Definitely excited for a possible Tales of the Sith at some point, hopefully OLD OLD Sith. But I'm definitely on board with Empire. You guys have probably seen them before but it would be exciting to see your thoughts on the Star Wars: The Old Republic cinematic trailers. So hyped! I was waiting for ur reaction! We need Tales of the Sith next. Like follow a young Palpatine and see Plagueis or something
Tales of the Sith and Tales of the Bounty Hunters would make awesome shows This trailer in just 3 days of being out already almost has as many likes as The Acolyte trailer which has been out for over 2 weeks Palpatine voice: Tales, will be reorganized, into the FIRST, TALES OF THE EMPIRE! I really hope they do Tales of the Bounty Hunters with the Clone Wars Boba It's the 6th Brother vs Bane First Sister?
Also loved seeing Vader and Grievous fighting with his new model. I wonder if this is a preparation for us to see Grievous Prequel movie commentaries for the 4th?? in other media. Maybe even in the sequel to Jedi Survivor? This surprise came out of nowhere but is a welcome one. Okay but why does Thrawn look like Benedict Cumberbatch? I noticed that Disney doesn't touch the unfinished stories of season 7 of The Clone Wars. So maybe they finish them one day... I don’t know if it’s Marrok or the Eighth Brother
Tales of the Rebellion would be great, following older Rex in his last few battles The Clone Wars was the best part of the prequel saga they can bring it back to fill the in-between battles n count more I feel
I thought Calvin hated the prequels? LET'S GO OK, guys hear me out... Tales of the Gungans - what happened to the Gungans after episode 1? What happened to Jar Jar after episode 3, did he help Luke Skywalker blow up the Death Star? Maybe he was with Rex on Endor, we will never know unless... Again - not a big deal but your stereo is flipped ;) I truly cannot wait!!! FOR THE LOVE OF GOD JUST GIMME A PREVIOUS MOVIE OR SOMETHING!!!!!!!!!! at 10:05 pm THAT. Your faces, eyes, reactions, feelings. No words are needed. That is all the proof I NEED to know that canceling Clone Wars was a mistake, and NOTHING like Morgan, will EVER make you feel like you did before, again. Mad lads finally found a way for us to see the Grevious model in action LONG LIVE THE EMPIRE! I need a reaction to the Ewok movies we get more Tales of shows. Sith, Bounty Hunters, Rebellion, I didn’t even consider the syndicates! Their excitement at seeing various parts of the trailer is so contagious!
Another day of geeking our hearts out :D
Just did my reaction! never thought id want more empire but here we are !
I was so scared u couldnt react to it.... 😎👍🤗
I would love a "Tales of the Old Republic". There are a lot of awesome stories during that time period.
Yooo they cooking with this one
Anakin was ahoska's master, and Vader is Barriss'. Like poetry, it rhymes.
Barriss Offee was NOT in my 2024 bingo card but I am so stoked. I'm super excited to see the new character models (like Grievous!!!) too and how live action characters will translate into animation. Tales of the Empire on Star Wars day?! We are winning.
I'm surprised Beriss wasn't just executed after order 66, the clone troopers made it pretty clear the definition of Jedi was pretty lose, hence they go after Ahsoka who was no longer a jedi. I wonder if the emperor had given specific orders to not kill Beriss because he knew she'd be a candidate for the inquisitorious program
We finally find out what happened to Barriss Offee, Asajj Ventress, and the Zillo Beast.
Now my only wish is for them to show what happened to ROTTA THE HUTT!
I really want him to take over the family business and appear in Ahsoka Season 2 to help her and also for him to be the crime boss of the galaxy at the time of Rey's new film.
Tales of the Jedi was phenomenal, and this looks to be on that level. Absolutely on board for more of these like Aaron suggested - Tales of the Sith/Rebellion/Syndicate/Bounty Hunters/etc.
I would love love love Bounty Hunter Tales. Hit me with Jango stuff
Approx 3:40 Eric, do you mean the old Legends EU books? There was Tales From Jabba’s Palace and Tales of the Bounty Hunters. I never read the Palace, but I LOVED Bounty Hunters. Something like that would be cool to see in this animation style if they keep these little anthologies going.
I would LOVE to see a Tales of the High Republic featuring Avar Kriss and Stellan Gios.
Seeing these two characters in more stories! This is so cool!! I can’t wait to see a tiny bit more of Grevious, thrawn, the grand inquisitor, and Vader!
I'd really like a Tales of the Rebellion with Iden Versio and Del Meeko as new recruits after the Battle of Jakku.
So hyped! I was waiting for ur reactions!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I love the Morgan elsbeth went from a “ok random that she happens to have a full mando spear, but cool” to one of my favorite dark side characters. The dual sickles with witch magic is just amazing
Your enthusiasm for Star Wars is always a welcome sight. This miniseries is gonna be so good. Can't wait to see a window in to the evil exploits of Marrok and the ultra-cool bird-masked Inquisitor, who, within months, will do some horrific things, only to be struck down by The Former Apprentice Of Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker...
May The Force Be With Us...
¡Long Live The Empire!
Long have I waited for more General Grievous and my patience has been rewarded because he looks so damn cool in the scenes he’s in so far
So pumped for this show! ♥️ you blind wave!
holy shit I’m first lmao
LONG LIVE THE EMPIRE
1:00 new type of clone trooper divison?
Tales of the Old Republic
I wonder if we might get to see Eli Vanto in Animation form, since in the part where we see Thrawn he is not Grand Admiral and Vanto isn't sent to the ascendancy until right before Thrawn gets that rank.
"I am all the Jedi"
Not. Nearly. Enough.
I really wish Disney would just stick to animated content. It's been great (Ik some of season 7 clone wars stuff was storyboarded before the takeover, but still). This is exactly the stuff I want to see! We do need a Star Wars "What If" series though.
I was wishing for Tales of the Sith but this looks so good specially the artstyle, the best i have ever seen in SW animations!
Would love another Tales series that follows the Temple Guards and maybe offsets with the Imperial Royal Guard or something
2:34 Literally me.
So Ahsoka's master is now training her previous friend!
Couple of thoughts: 1) We're going to get more of the Fourth Sister who was mostly silent in "Obi-wan Kenobi", so hopefully we'll get some of her story, rather than just interactions with others. 2) Fourth Sister and Grand Inquisitor are already trained and up-and-running as Inquisitors when she approaches Barriss Offee. This suggests that recruitment of trained Force wielders to the Inquisitorius did not occur in one short time period at Order 66, but at least for a time, was an ongoing process. This makes me wonder at what point the recruitment drive for them was stopped, and the process instead focused on kidnapping Force-sensitive infants, as seen in "Star Wars: Rebels". Also, I wonder if the show will give us a definitive number for the inquisitors.
Dont know if this is happening everywhere else but in may 4th week were getting the films back in cinemas... Might go and watch 😅 (UK).
You can tell a lot about a starwars show by watching these guys react. Acolyte... reaction was even... Tales of the Empire... there was screams, comments, excitement !
they should do tales of the separatist and have grievous and ventress be the two mains
Barriss! BARRISS! FINALLY!
6:15, Hopefully they didn't get my hopes up about another Star Wars Fan Film on May 4th.
This looks awesome
In Tales from the Mos Eisley Cantina (EU) we learned Greedo's story and final outcome.
"Tales of everything from a galaxy far, far away"😂
1:40 Hello there
I'm looking forward for a tales of the first order. We could see more of kylo's background and maybe his first days in the first order. Maybe even phasma can finally shine as well
Glad I'm not the only one who caught that new grievous model, I'd love for a future tales of the separatists or tales of the past and grievous backstory to get a whole 3 episodes
About time we get something based on the Empire.
I want "Tails of the Scoundrels" to be next. A Lando story, a Han story, a Hondo story, etc...
Tales of the Sith and Tales of the Bounty Hunters would make awesome shows
Star Wars really is at its best in Animation.
Super excited for this! Would love to go back to Jedi stories at some point in the future and get some of Kanan who’s in my top 10 Star Wars characters. I want to see him and Ezra on Yavin and encounter a Revan holocron to make him canon. That’s my pipe dream at least lmao
I’m so excited we finally get to properly see modern Grievous.
