Great reaction. This was their very first song - as your pop up said, it was released as a single in 2011, but they recorded it in October 2010 (Su was 12, Yui and Moa were both 11 - watch the official MV that was released with the single to see just how tiny they were) and they made their live debut at the first Sakura Gakuin concert in November 2010 with this song. Doki doki is onomatopoeic for a fast or excited heart beat. 'Doki Doki Morning' is about a girl waking up late and rushing to get ready for an exciting day at school with all her friends. How to dance and headbang to their songs? Just copy the moves they make (or as close an approximation as you can) and you'll be good.🤘👯🦊
Thanks again from Japan 有難う。I witnessed this very performance at the venue 2 times (Mar.2 / 3 this year.) This song is about a school girl who overslept in the morning and got up quickly and dressed in haste asking repeatedly "what time is it now?. In panicked and hectic manner 🤣. "Doki Doki" signifies sound of fast heartbeat. And the girl also got excited looking forward to what was going to happen today at her school and in her future as well. Su, Moa and Momoko are matured and no longer school girls, but they revived this song in 2021 with cute voices and lovable moves that are reminiscent of their early-teen performance. They have performed it occasionally since then to make the audience smile happily. The performance reminds us of comical gestures by daughters, granddaughters, little sisters, nieces or any adorable girls that we know.
Another fun reaction and thanks to Vocal for suggesting this one. When you said it had been a rough month, I thought you had the perfect song to listen to. Now about the dance. There seem to me two principal routes. First you could have Mikiko Mizuno (Babymetal's choreographer) create a routine for you. Or probably a more practical solution. Take Su's advice and "don't think, feel!" And then just go for it.
Nice reaction!🤘🦊 If you want to learn how the girls dance, there is a good way! I think you should ask BABYMETAL's choreographer Mikiko Mizuno to teach you that!🥰 Thanks for the fun reaction video💕
I remember when the MV for this song went viral, the girls were sooo tiny - and sooo many people were saying it's just a UA-cam joke thing, it only works as long as the girls are small, they'll be gone and forgotten in a year or two. And now, fourteen years later...
Nice one, thanks! "Doki Doki ☆ Morning" was their very first song. They originated in 2010 as a subunit of a larger j-pop idol group formed by girls between 10 and 15 years old. So, it had to be necessarily poppy (and it's also a bit childish and silly) but we have to admit that it's also crazy metal for that same context. 🤣 In later live versions like this one, Su-metal imitates her younger self. Moa admitted that Su is very good at that. They don't play it much live anymore lately. Now, this is more like their version of "fan service". So, I'm so glad and honored to have experienced this very same performance in Yokohama earlier this year. 😊 About the moves, you can headbang during the heavier parts and do the arm moves like Moa and Momoko... see the crowd here for reference, haha... 🤘🦊
BM's first ever song (hence Su affecting cutesy vocals here) when they were actually still tweens in age. It's quintessentially Kawaii Metal v.1.0 as well, reflecting that Yui era (2010-2017) when they were teenagers, singing about slices of life (& their lyrics in the first 2 studio albums more juvenile-themed as a result). Only six of the 25 songs would make it to the next era (Babymetal Death, Megitsune, Gimme Choco, Road Of Resistance, Karate, while Headbanger seems currently on tenterhooks), even though the fan consensus is that it represented BM's greatest & most iconic period. Kawaii Metal v.2.0 (2018-present), while still eclectic & unconventional as ever, was also a relatively different era. BM were entering their twenties, blindsided by serious setbacks (Yui's departure & Mikio's death), & profoundly influenced by their peers on the tour circuit (as reflected in their various collaborations & tackling unusual subgenres for their next two albums & singles). They were also guarding their hard-won metal credibility (at least until post-pandemic), so many of their early material were deliberately shelved for several years (including standouts like DDM, IDZ, CMIYC, Iine!, Akatsuki, the entire Black Babymetal repertoire) & revived only on special occasions (the 10th Anniversary gigs in 2021, performing a bonus 'oldie' track to end each tour leg in 2023, integrating Momo with the old songs in 2023-2024). Another distinction between the two career phrases was the brief initial existence of a kawaii metal bandwagon (as several fledging bands hitched onto the subgenre which BM had created). But none of them lasted the course &, as BM took their music in a different direction after 2017, they became the gateway for others to explore the 'loud' (metal/rock) scene in Japan instead. With DDM itself, BM had celebrated the end of Covid restrictions with an utterly clever & memorable remake at the Babymetal Returns gig at Makuhari Messe in Jan 2023. Won't spoil the surprise if you haven't watched it. That show was also the last time the beloved East Kamis reunited again to serve as the backing band.
💕 ⚡ 🍑 / 💓 ⏰ Like a lot of great heavy metal songs, the lyrics talk about which cute hairstyle and lip gloss they should decide on for school. : ) Is this very Pop for a Metal song? Sure. It's also a ridiculously heavy song coming from members of a school-themed all girl Idol group. At this point they were also the "Heavy Music Club" subunit of the school-themed Idol group Sakura Gakuin. This was BABYMETAL's first single, music video, etc. It was this video blowing up on social media that helped them start to go viral, especially outside of Japan.
Great reaction, Mate! So very sorry to hear about your Sister, not an easy hurdle to overcome...but you got this. Music will be a good tonic for you, especially Babymetal as they are so upbeat and fun (or course, I could be a wee bit biased?). Carry on!
TBh after seeing the version they did with Metalverse I have trouble watching any other (other than the original MV which is extremely cute) - although obviously this is good here. Good reaction anyway :)

Doki Doki🦊😆
Fourteen years after this song was released, the ladies are still adorable.💛

Might be a mission to get Mikiko. Think I'll just feel it.😅
The song that started it all... hey can you do part 2 of this song? Uki Uki Midnight
I most certainly can.
@@adamreacts78 There is no recent performance of it, so Budokan 2014 is probably the best one available on YT.
@Hymnodic Thanx mate.
BabyMetal showing they can still do Kawaii . Waking up late for school part always makes me smile 😁🤘🏼🦊🤘🏼
Nice reaction!
Thank you! 😁

Maybe this can help for this song: the song changes between styles, so adjust the dancing styles accordingly.
Haha fun times. I doubt anyone would care how you dance/headbang to Babymetal, just move around and do your thing haha.

Choosing a lipstick for the school day is so metal to me....ye ne ?
😂🤣 I'll have to take your word on that.

Lol. I would say
