Hi Anne i always clean my rollers & brushes as I always get quality equipment all waterbased paints I clean them with lukewarm water & washing up liquid really cleans them.

Gonna be painting my son's bedroom ceiling soon. Thank god onle a centre light. There is some black mold stain at ceiling above where window is. I've washed with mold cleaner and removed most but stain still there. What should I do before painting. Thanks
@Geno Paints good advice, only thing I would add would be if recurring mould is a problem add some owatrol VC175 to the emulsion. It's a tropical strength mould inhibitor
Any tips for repainting the recessed lights surrounds? When you repaint a ceiling white or near white they can look very dirty.
Someone like the one I done just before Christmas all them lights and ski lights

Anne DM hi Anne use a quality stain block apply over bad area where you cleaned down let it dry & just paint your ceiling should do the job.
Something like Zinsser B.I.N, it's quick drying, fast recoat times and permanently blocks any staining
