About a few months ago I remember a SamTrans operator telling me that the 400 series buses are "banned" on the ECR (except the MV operated ones), due to their age in the fleet. It looks like as of the most recent service changes (when PCX came in service), there has been a few 400 buses running on the ECR during midday hours, along with regular artic buses.
This unit is one of the good sounding ones among the entire fleet, even with the HVAC is on. You can hear the voith taking off, as well as the frequent backfire that the bus makes. This trip was running about 8 minutes behind schedule, but still relatively empty because the one ahead was running like 20 minutes behind and took all the passengers.

Just To Let You Know When Rode The Unit 451 Its Sound Like Its Getting To Old That It Need To Be Retired Because Its 2009 Model They Starting Sound To Old I Cant Even Hear The Voith Only When It Whistle Check My Bus I Made And You Get What Im Saying And Also Im Starting To Make Bus Videos Now Every Once In While I Make Bus Video Remind What Year As put Number On Every Unit expect Samtrans Is Easy to Remember Because I Know By Look At The Unit Like If Is 400s Its 2009 Model If Is 500s 2010 Model If 900s Its 2014 Models And If IS 700s Then Its Is 2013 Models or Yeah If 600s Then 2017 Model
