It costs $1 because they have to consider the amount of money that the economy receives. Vietnam doesn't receive a large amount of money because of the state of their country, the amount of trading items and the amount of money the government steals from them (the government makes them pay taxes and uses that money for their on prosperity). So, Vietnam being a place filled with poverty, they would have to make their food very cheap.

Orders pho and then it's served, "oohhh". The owner pours 1st sauce into his pho he says "oohhh", she pours second sauce, "oohhh" she pours 3rd sauce into his pho, "oohhh". He eats pho and thumbs it up and says "oohhh".
Trevor's attitude is the reason he gets the amazing experiences in these countries. He transcends language barriers and take us with him to show the best of the best! Sure it's over the top sometimes but that's why we love him.

As you can see, the worms are served in a specific place in Saigon. It is not common or familiar around Vietnamese people like noodles or rice. None of Vietnamese people I know enjoy or have a sense about it. So stop making judgement about the country where you've never been!

I'm Vietnamese and have born and live there for 9 years before moving to the U.S. Believe me but never eating worm or anything that anyone would deem a bit wild. All I eaten is pork, chicken, and beef like many would.
