Had mine 11 months and stopped working. Well it starts intermittently. Checked brushes ok, lead ok. But the switch keeps getting stuck inwards. Not happy for the price i paid!
we have not had that on any of our tools, check its not the lead, try it and wiggle that lead, they can break where the lead goes into the handle, the small lock buttons always get jammed up as they are a poor design but the main trigger are always reliable, if you are thinking about opening it up take care and take photos as the switch looks simple at first glance buts it pretty difficult as none of the ports are marked plus it has a speed control node, so before you take wires out ect, take some good photos of it, the only other fault is the handles can sometimes pinch the cables, as the cable gets close to the screw fixings ...if you bought it new then send it back to refina if you have any warranty on it..and good luck.
