    I haven’t watched this guy since the pandemic when I was trying to learn how to cut my own hair. Literally thought your younger brother was now cutting hair. Dude you look like a whole new person. Good on you for taking off the weight, looking lean and healthy. Also the haircuts are always on point. Love the commentary that goes along with them.

    You always give great advice, especially to the men coming to terms with changing hairlines and losing their hair. I’m female, but just before the pandemic I had a really REALLY bad perm, leaving my below shoulder length hair over treated, brittle and breaking. After trying loads of conditioning treatments I accepted the only sensible option got the clippers out and gave myself a buzz cut. Since then I’ve been trying to grow some length back but as soon as I get to the no shape stage I end up buzzing it off again. This time I’m going to take your advice and invest in one of the hair bands like your wearing to keep it looking neat & tidy while wait for it to grow. 🤞

    Magic✨The way he instantly looked better when you evened out the top to the sides 🎯 And what a great discussion about the more emotional and psychological benefits of a good barber. I think we underestimate the healing power of having that subtle vulnerability and physical care between men. In a society that still generally discourages straight men from sharing affection, it can be one place where it’s ok to feel “held” in the sense of being looked after by a caring male hand. The fact that the caring hand is holding tools that could injure if used inappropriately only increases the value of that trust.

Then they just wouldn't know what to do or what to ask well put the clippers down to a zero because they want your money. now I have even longer to wait to grow my length out

    I love what you are doing here.
    EVERYONE is vulnerable.
    Every every every one.
    Some spend outrageous money to keep from feeling vulnerable.
    Listen to what Dan's saying.
    He's allowed into his space.
    You lie back, get your hair washed, sometimes your face for a beard, covered up, warm. Hair in your face, hides you. Nobody is yelling at you.
    The sounds calm the nervous system. Clipping, buzzing, is rhythmic.

  • @vlcthefish
    @vlcthefish 7 місяців тому +6

    I agree with Dan he shouldn't go shorter on the sides but #4 up top is too short on him. He actually looks better before the buzz cut today.
    I guarantee if you polled a bunch of women on which looks better, the before or after then majority say before.
    before -> 30:52
    After - > 30:54
    Dan is correct that his face is strong but going down to a #4 up top is exposing weakness in his skull(his apex/top is too flat and the occipital bone sticks out too much with the indentation in the crown). Compare this with someone like Brad Pitt who's skull is basically perfect in those areas meaning Pitt's apex rounds out perfectly and the occipital bone doesn't stick out at all. David Beckham is another example of someone having great skull with little to no weakness. Vast majority of people don't have that to so modification to length with buzz cuts needs to be done in order to fill in those areas of weakness.

    • @telford2155
      @telford2155 7 місяців тому +1
