Fun fact: to record the lines, the game developers simply kidnapped Mickey Rourke and put microphones throughout the building they kept him in. So when you hear Dick talking, it’s really just Mickey insulting his captors as he punches them in the groin whilst getting away. As for the remix, he eventually agreed to give them some lines as long as the game developers donated the proceeds to rescue chiahuahuas.

Crazily this game was made after an ACTUAL guy (Marcinko)...he was military & eventually became his own Black Ops branch (designed to essentially test the U.S.A.'s protocols & general preparedness), but was eventually taken down by the U.S. Gov't (who were meanwhile PAYING him to be active), cuz he would literally flashbang his way through, say, a Senator's bedroom window at 3AM & black-bag his ass.
It was really F*d up stuff, as he was technically doing Domestic Terrorism (tho zero bodycount) - yet that exact thing WAS his job~
(the game was another thing altogether, but the dude himself has quite the story)

Testing national security without actually harming anybody isn't really terrorism. Terrorism is the unlawful use of violence and intimidation for political means. His goal was improving national security and as long as he's not doing any real permanent damage I can't say I'm against shit like that. Supposedly he was *too* good at what he did from what I'm reading so there's the possibility that the allegations were false.

This may be a shit game, but the guy the game is based on is a complete badass irl. He’s a bit of an ass, but he revolutionized special operations and counter terrorism techniques still in use today. He’s got a pretty unreal backstory, worth a look.

Dick Marcinko has a lot in common with guys like Charlie Beckwith and Yoni Netanyahu. They're semi-insane post-WW2 commando types. Warriors aren't meant to get old, but Demo Dick's still gotta pay the bills.
