I love the way you tell the story! Very good audio, perfect. Yes China was crazy sometimes. I remember seeing a few bad fights in Changsha these days after night BBQ. Once I saw a Chinese guy throw a cooking knife. It was a miracle no one got hurt badly.
Your story reminds me of an incident that happened in Tangshan.This incident was actually very sensational at the time. Three girls were having late-night snacks at a barbecue restaurant when several hooligans tried to harass them. One of the girls resisted strongly and ended up with serious injuries. It’s such a terrible incident, and it makes me feel that when some Chinese people claim China is the safest country in the world, it’s nothing but a joke.(By the way I am a Chinese)
Oh yeah - that Tangshan story was BRUTAL. I remember that. And that's only a story that we heard of! Most of these stories get hidden so we never even hear about them! I've seen something worse in China than what happened in Tangshan, with my own eyes. I'll save that story for another day though!

Great video and a interesting take from you on a past event and telling this story that had happened to you (an unfortunate one). That is certtainly not the best gift (not the right word, but i don't know what to add there) or experience for christmas. There is always sometime where anyone (i mean literally anyone) will encounter and get into unforunate events and having unpleasant memories or something happening to them in another country, the thing is anyone will encounter and facing challenges and unfortunate times in their lives which is totally normal. This is clearly not something anyone wants to experience, and will be the worst ones (for obvious reasons). Glad you surivived the whole ordeal.I am glad you are still in one piece after this whole thing happened (apologies if not the best sounding) Maybe next time if same thing happened, safe the evidence (the bruces etc), go to hospital to get a check plus report on injury you received, report to the Police and show both the evidence and the injury report given by the hopsital to the Police. Doing all of this will for sure give these people some punishment for their actions.
