Cars with mold I call is a bio hazard and I won't clean or detail in general. Use an ozone machine in the car.

Probably need to take the seats out and the center console. There is likely mild underneath everything and the carpet should probably come out completely if you really want to get rid of it.

Can't make em all perfect, but you can run an ozone + UV scrubber with the AC on recirculate for an hour or so. Check humidity to make sure the car's not still humid and you're set. Also throw some Folex in there. It's great stuff.

Working at a car wash that also offers interior detailing, many people don’t seem to realize that you can’t make them all perfect. We don’t have great chemicals to work with but we have the same extractor you’re using and i can get good results using it.

So I have mold that has returned in my car on the driver side flooring, I used a spray bottle that had dawn, vinegar, and lysol in it and it did a good job of cleaning it up after I scrubbed it all into the carpet and vacuumed afterwards. But its returned again in a small patch by where my left foot usually rests. Right where the carpet and the plastic panel that has the levers you pull on for the gas tank and hood meet. Is this because water is still there or because water is leaking into my car?

Moisture is coming from somewhere or the mold wasn’t properly remediated. It can be throughout the whole car, even though you only see it in one place

I wonder where I can find a service like this in Orange County CA. I have allergies and trying to pinpoint what could be causing or making my runny nose and sneezing worse a lot of days . I spilled a jug of water on the passenger floor side at the front and forgot to take out the mat later because I had been driving at the time of the spill . And then figured it couldn’t be all that bad since it’s just plain water ….could there be mold in there even if there aren’t any visible signs of it ?
