They say the sloth bear is a formidable opponent and even a tiger many a times stays away from challenging a sloth bear. We were lucky to film it for our channel.

I've seen my fair share of screen adaptations and even the best such as Chuck Jones' "Mowgli's Brothers", Soyuzmultfilm's "Maugli" and Andy Serkis' "Mowgli: Legend of the Jungle" don't even look like sloth bears, especially in the case of "Maugli" where he was changed to an Asian black bear, but at least his diet matched. It is a shame, because they are truly a unique looking species.
