  • This video takes a unique approach to how automakers are preparing for the future. The following countries are planning on banning the sale of new combustion powered passenger vehicles by those specific dates listed (and this list is not exhaustive): Norway 2025, Iceland 2030, UK 2030, Sweden 2030, Ireland 2030. The Netherlands 2030, Slovenia 2030, Israel 2030, France 2040, Spain 2040, Sri Lanka 2040, Singapore 2040, and Costa Rica 2050. This is due to several reasons such as climate change, pollution, more affordable and usable electric vehicles (EV’s), and falling battery prices. Data from the Norwegian Road Federation (OFV) says that in 2020, 54.3 per cent of new cars sold in the country were powered solely by electricity. You considering buying an electric car?
