Do I really need to bring cash for my Camino?

Overview about bringing (or not) cash, suggestions on where to get more $$$ or exchange currency, and suggestions on how to carry cash with you along the way. At night, remember to keep your important documents and money with you (for example, you could put your fanny pack at your feet in my sleep liner or bag).
You can find banks/ATM machines along Camino Primitivo at these locations (maybe check with your bank if they have any affiliates for lower or no fees): Oviedo, Grado, Cornellana, Salas, La Espina, Tineo, Grandas de Salime, A Fonsagrada, Baleira, Lugo, Melide, Arzúa, O Pedrouzo, Santiago de Compostela
