By far the best tutorial ive seen. No unnecessary jibber, excellent method. Sounds SO good I thought it just may be the 'edge' playing. The best videos never include the face of the player and all theyre annoying banter. Would like to know more about the gifted musician. Thank you, greg reno, nv
This is freaking perfect! Was at the Sphere for this U2 tour, so far Dec 1, 2 and going back Jan 26, 31, Feb 17, 18. The Dec 1 and 2 were in section 101 with a perfect view of the stage with a bit of a overhang on the upper part if the Sphere. But still the visuals are insane. I posted videos on my UA-cam page of those shows. The rest of the dates I’ll be in GA, hopefully get a rail spot!

Edo, some of us would really love to see a couple videos regarding a more in-depth look at how you dial in edges tones, delays and verbs, regarding modulation rates, feedback and reverb types. I don’t use an AxeFx so it’d be helpful. Also, some of his earlier U2 sounds from Boy etc. thx!
fishmank27 as great as that kind of visual guide can be, listening to your desired tone from your favorite album or concert and playing around with your own gear parameters is the best way to develop your own ear for tone matching, it becomes second nature. What are you using at the moment?
Ruben Amaya I do that already and have, just would like some of his more advanced knowledge on it all. I use the Helix stuff and it works really well. I wanna fine tune it better. I have a Vertigo clip on my channel as an example.
fishmank27 I think your Vertigo patch sounds great... the only thing I have a critique for is the tempo, you’re playing it pretty slow. Otherwise I’d say the intro is 98% there.
Ruben Amaya Yeah maybe, I was playing without any track or metronome, plus I had to switch sections so it’s not smooth. I’ve only been playing 9 years or so my timing probably isn’t the best sometimes:) It’s no Edo!

Thank you! General fx are: delay for verses and choruses, heavier distortion for refrain, lighter overdrive for choruses, and pitch shifter for the solo part

I watch this and I think to myself “If I could only rap my head around my Axe FX Ultra unit and … then … and only Maybe then… I could raise mediocrity by a few decimal points!” Learning my fractal unit and midi functions is like a Monkey sitting in front of an F-22 Fighter jet flight deck simulator navigation system… take off is an exercise in futility. Lol!
