13:32 actually Peru has nowadays a lot of 2023, 2022 is actually quite rare but useful to regionguess because it are only a couple of roads, 2024 is also somewhat common and for example the only gen 4 cr in tarapoto area is 2024.
copyright seems like a "last line of defense" type meta, where it wont be useful to identify a country, but rather to narrow a group of countries down to 1 or 2
about the only time I can use copyright is to check if it is before a country came out that I can remember coming out (Germany, Panama, Kazakhstan, etc.)

I feel like an improvement you could make on your videos is jump cuts more frequently. I understand the goal of this video and the calmness. But a jump cut to find an unblurred car would save so much time as a viewer and it’s like watching someone do a presentation that they didn’t practice and are trying to figure out what they meant on their slides. I hope you take this the right way, I’m not trying to be a dick, I just can tell you are really upping the production quality in all of your videos and this one just seemed like an obvious one I could mention. Keep up the good work. I wouldn’t be critiquing you if I knew you couldn’t do it!
He always jumpcuts on the main channel, but not on this one. Realistically this channel isn't his main source of income and editing takes a lot of time

@ ireland and UK have pretty much every copyright. It’s the least useful way to region guess those two countries. Since my comment 2month ago I had definitely forgotten the Malaysia no 2023 thing lol

Very valuable addition, I think most people are a bit mystified by this. I’m wondering how did you memorize it? Like the Canada copyright situation. Is it in a spreadsheet somewhere? Or is it in a tagged json that gets shared?
I noticed that the copyright years were useful a few years ago and wondered why no one was talking about it or ever put it in guides. It's vindicating to hear you admit it's been "gatekept" though I feel unsettled by the state of affairs and don't quite understand why. Is it just another thing that makes the nitty-gritty behind Geoguessr skill "look bad" for the pros? Is it just content-unfriendly, or perhaps offputting to beginners to squint at the years instead of looking at the literal big picture?
