@Go_A associe chants traditionnels ukrainiens et electro pour un résultat détonnant ! Impossible de ne pas danser devant leur Europavox Session.
Formé en 2012, Go_A fédère les énergies de Kateryna Pavlenko au chant, Ivan Hryhoriak à la guitare, Taras Shevchenko aux claviers et percussions et Ihor Didenchuk au svirel (instrument à vent emblématique de la musique traditionnelle slave).
Tout au long de ses dix années d’existence, Go_A a fait mûrir une musique assez unique associant chants traditionnels, instruments folkloriques et beats électroniques. Une sorte d’electro chaabi venu d’Europe de l’Est en somme, dont les racines slaves font penser aux entêtantes mélopées de Dakhabrakha.
Après s’être frottés à l’Eurovision en 2021, c’est aujourd’hui au festival Europavox que performent les membres de Go_A. Ils profitent de leur session pour nous initier aux morceaux "shum", "Rusalky" et "Kalyna".

The soloist, Katerina Pavlenko, underwent a complicated surgery in her youth, having one lung removed. Until a few years ago, she worked at McDonald's. And now she is not just singing but touring all over Europe. Isn't it a miracle?

The moment I saw Kateryna smile was gorgeous - never saw her smile before.
Until people see her a few times, especially live, I think the general impression is only from the performance at Eurovision, when the serious face was part of the performance.
As you can see , she is a warm person, sometimes angry (of course because of f*cking Putin, sometimes almost in tears), the feelings you get/feel at their live concerts are just amazing.
If they ever come anywhere close to you (and by close I mean , take a flight and a train and a bus :-) ), to see them, they are SO worth it.

It would be nice to see you on a stage, the public down jumping, pogoing, doin' circle pits.. the music is simply one of the freshier things I've heard in the last ten years: melody, dark, rhythm, energy.. plus the "hypnotic" voice.
