Hooray for individuals and being authentic, especially in the hobby space. You're one of the few that doesn't feel like I'm watching three adverts hiding in a hobby trenchcoat pretending to be a real person.
You might also like some of the models made for the 1981 "Fang of the Sun" anime series. They were also designed by Kunio Okawara (who designed the original Gundam mobile suits) so there is a striking resemblance. I was buying these kits as a kid before I even knew the Gundam models existed back in the early 80s. Its weird that you say this has become a recent trend (I didn't know), but now that you've said it, I can't UNsee it. LOL ! I also started recently getting back into the models (now that I can afford them) and its been a real eye opener (I had NO IDEA there were so many!?).
Your video popped up on my recommended so I thought to myself, "eh, why not, I'll check this out." I'm glad that I did. What you said at the end about "trends" and "Clone Tubers" got me thinking about my channel and the channels I follow. A LOT of people online have recently started giving more attention to Gundam. Can't tell if it's a coordinated effort a natural grassroots growth. Either way I'm glad to see the hobby expand.

While I don't mind that yes, UA-camrs are discovering new things, the fact so many of them are completely f'ing ignorant of the anime and the literal decades of lore behind it is getting... exceedingly grating. bill if you want even more gundams, buy anything from the build fighters/build divers lineups, as those are custom gundam made from different kits, and most of them come with leftover parts, there's some that can even be built as the original kit with different colors, as someone who kitbashes all his gundams, the build series is my go to for parts
Idk, I am more likely to learn about new craft from a UA-camr I watch than one I haven't seen before. Like this is the first Gundam video I've seen, I didn't know anything about it other than the joke that when T Girls come out of the closet they're given a Gundam kit. But it seems kinda interesting. It was through polymer sculpting that I found NorthoftheBorder, through which I found StudsonStudio and scratchbuilding/kit bashing, and then all the rest of you through the pod racer collab, and learned about wargaming. So maybe someone else will start looking up Gundam stuff from this video. Trying out a trend isn't inherently selling out.

I'm pretty sure the first Warhammer youtuber trying out gunpla was from a few months back, and it was genuinely like "I've seen and heard of them, but never tried one out. Here's my thoughts on the one I got.". Just nice to see someone expand their horizons and (IIRC) get slammed by a fiddly old MG kit.
Gundam kits are a great place to harvest random cool looking plastic bits. If I find one really cheap sometimes I'll buy two. One to build and make pew pew noises with what no one is watching, and one to use to bolster my bits boxes. Also Individuality is priceless.
Love the Red Dwarf stuff. Love Gundam too. Love that you played it the way you did. Loads of gundams in the back while you build this new trend 😂. And highlight the use of expensive plastic nippers. So many channels doing that. And the spongebob thing too. Getting old now.

Brilliant! Man, you nailed it. All of it. I just got tuned on to your channel a couple of months ago. I’m actually new to this hobby. Been wanting to do models and table tops but work was too much. To the point where I had to retire. Started looking for UA-cam channels to see what and how. While looking at Gamey Builds, your channel was a suggestion. My god man! Love the builds, great art work (love that style) and just super on point, while being funny. Please don’t change a thing. Probably going to cancel one of my streaming services that nobody here actually watches and shift it over to your Patreon. God knows I watch your channel more than “Peacock (NBC)” anyway. Looking forward to the next video. Happy Holidays!
I loved this episode, its fun to see you have fun too, please make more of these videos. I love this channel 🥰, I really like that you promote other channels and say what you want to say.
I'd like to see plastic kits of traditional subjects like Spitfires and Tanks but using the superb click together engineering of the Gundam kits. Also using the different coloured spars. Get away from the gluing and sanding Palaver 😄
I don't think there's anything wrong with following trends to pick up some extra views, so long as the main focus is incorporating whatever the trend is with your particular style. I wouldn't expect you to do a video explaining them, but it'd be cool to see a rusty Gunpla, even if it's just a pic on socials... I just like heavy weathering on my Gunpla...
Love to see a fellow collector of MS Ensemble (that's the line name) of Gashapon Gundams here in this site. Also, love to see many are discovering Gunpla and Gundams again.
Bit of a dig on those UA-camrs and other social media peeps you described. LOVED it. I was laughing my ASS off through the first bit and all the War Hammer commentary. Touché.
As a Gunpla/30mm(ms) enjoyer, I am happy to see this video. Also, glad you're keeping it weird, Bill. Your weirdness is the second best part of the channel, runner-up to your beard.
When it comes to UA-cam channels, I tend to take an "as is" attitude towards them. Whatever persona they choose to present is fine, as long as the video turns out to be entertaining or informative in the end.
I don't know jack about Warhammer, my plastic crack has always been Gunpla. I am really enjoing it, when people with a Warhammer backround "discover" Gunpla. It is a fresh perspevtive on the hobby. I don't care about a bandwagon, as long as good modes and good videos are produced that inspire me in my own endevours. So, if you write Gundam in the titel, there is a good chance I will watch the video in the future.
Ive legitimately never experienced anything this British before Also, the writing in this video is pretty amazing. I use this one small camera so I dont have to edit - followed by 3 edits. One thing about Bit videos is the next one is always better - plz watch the previous one, its better 😂😂
Bill doing some good Gunpla kit bashing would fill a void in my media consumption. There's some great kitbashing channels but I would personally love to see Bill delve into this a bit.
I think you're next make should be a UA-cam Clonetuber as an alien in your Gutterlands world. Making videos is hard (I gave up after a year because I couldn't get much traction and the effort and input vrs watch time was just not worth it - given I'm already in a full time job). But you should most definitely carry on as you are that's what is making you truly stand out, but if there is something that catches your eye that you want to do that is "popular" then go for it, if you can out your Bill twist on something that is gaining popularity then all the better. I don't even make miniatures (I from the sewing side of the craftiverse) but I love watching your videos nonetheless. Keep going champ!
I'll savour every glimpse of Bll's Bits i can get. Terrifying cheerfulness, seamless references about lots of new things like breath of the wild and gonedames...I almost didn't recognise you. It's a shame you don't speak Japanese or you could tell me what you said :( Seriously though, I love this channel because of who Bill Making Stuff is and I'm planning on sticking around whether you're making something frombits and bobs or stuff from kits, or having a look through your bits bins or whatever you're doing. I watch Bill Making Stuff for Bill Making Stuff.
I think we should all be allowed to be funny stupid sometimes, especially when you are around people sharing an interest or topic with. Please keep it your way, I am a fan your channel for so long now! Greetings from Germany 🎉
"Bill's take on trends" once every 3 months, an episode where you examine the latest whathaveyou, dissect it, and the psychology of why its hip...then, ...then, you make your take on it! Your perfect version of it... rest of the time, the regular quality stuff you usually do. The day trips are neat too.
try things in *your* way, its what makes you, you. Less chance to burn out, and less chance to run out of stuff... (I smell kitbash gundam cyborg flying pig doom rollers, whatever that is)

Have you considered painting or whitewashing the inside of your workspace? It really helps make the lighting more effective
It was called "Nicky Nicky Nine Doors" in Canada...
Okay, who roofied Bill with anxiety meds?
I reeeaaally cringed, when he used the Godhand like he did... Edit: No offense. ;) You gained a new sub. Love your style.
Bill, you're the best. Thanks for being you.
Ive legitimately never experienced anything this British before
Also, the writing in this video is pretty amazing. I use this one small camera so I dont have to edit - followed by 3 edits.
One thing about Bit videos is the next one is always better - plz watch the previous one, its better
😂😂
Louise will never invite you to come on JUGGS now.
Who's Louise?
@@BillMakingStuff😂
@@BillMakingStuff The person many people will likely assume this video is a jab at.
@@coreymorse1347 it is absolutely a jab at her Gundam video, right down to the chronological order of things.
@@steelwulf99 The sign off was probably just a complete coincidence though, I'm pretty sure that Bill squints and makes a
So cool to see a new and upcoming company giving us some more Warhammer-like models but at a cheaper price!
Bill doing some good Gunpla kit bashing would fill a void in my media consumption. There's some great kitbashing channels but I would personally love to see Bill delve into this a bit.
It took me a minute to understand your satire, but darn I had a a good laugh when I realized what you were saying! Loved the video!
In the US , Dollar General has a group of 5 for $1.25 no great , but with some sanding , cutting , building up. You got some cool stuff.
That postman who knocked and ran off was probably making a prank tiktok.....
Broken godhands hurt to see. This was hilarious though loved it
Whenever I hear goon, I chuckle. Goon here, goon dam, goon that, goon everywhere.
Bills Bit’s must be coffee pods, shots of coffee pods… Is this video sped up by 2.0x? Love you Bill.
Never change, Bill.
Love you, Bill! Never change.
He said "I'm English." I think.
(""Watashi wa Igirisujin desu"") ""Im British"" is what he said
I think we should all be allowed to be funny stupid sometimes, especially when you are around people sharing an interest or topic with.
Thank you for this video. I appreciate the thoughts you are sharing, and the humor you are sharing them though.
Holy crap the bit on not knowing Gundam and it being like Warhammer was destroying me. The irrational nerd upset was real.
try things in *your* way, its what makes you, you. Less chance to burn out, and less chance to run out of stuff...
(I smell kitbash gundam cyborg flying pig doom rollers, whatever that is)
Watching Gundam while making Gundam - that is the best.
It is fun getting old and watching communities grow and seeing new generations become interested in things.
