I love the whole "what is this weird gun damm thing" bit continuing through a camera angle change showing like 6 finished gundam kits in the background
it's so nice of Bill to showcase a new type of product from a small independent company, hope this video helps the company, it's hard releasing new products these days.
I blame the Uppers. Some rich off-planet weeboo trying to make their favorite anime real and enter it in Bangarang against the junkyard constructs built by the native Junkers.
Like flying a kite at night, or eating in a dark kitchen from the refrigerator in your underwear and your wife catches you drinking a quart of heavy whipping cream kinda feeling

As a 45 year old, married bloke who paints stuff, likes building stuff, likes Gundam/Gunpla and is permanently perplexed by Warhammer pricing, this video spoke to me. 😂 Love all the episodes, but for some reason this one really resonated. Keep it up! Bills Bits, different but splendid in a different way
I walked into a GW in Singapore and Tokyo after years of not being in the hobby. I looked at the stuff and the prices and then walked out. Warhammer have basically priced-themselves out of the market.

I'm sure you're nice and don't take my sattire too seriously. @@BillMakingStuff your replication of my sign off made me feel really sad and insecure about me being my happiest on the internet and sharing that with other people I'm not trying to be annoying or fake I was just happy is all and excited to share something id discovered with other people which is why I think we all have these channels! My rule of thumb is that if people are happy and aren't doing anything wrong don't make fun of them for it because it may really bring them down 😞
Hey, don’t feel too bad. Bill’s video bought this grumpy old man to your channel… and after watching your video (and subscribing) I immediately went and ordered a Gunpla 😉
@roguehobbies, I did not make any connection between the videos, until you made this comment. I love your channel and Bill's channel. I honestly don't think anything in this video is meant as a slight at anybody specific and more just a commentary on UA-cam in general.

man idk, I feel like a lot of content creators just really get excited about the new thing they got into and want to share. I recently got into Gundam, I kinda feel the same way with my friends. also I'm not sure anyone is presenting this as "new", just about every video about gunpla by a Warhammer youtuber I've seen has been like "lol yeah this shit's been around for decades actually".
Gundam kits are a great place to harvest random cool looking plastic bits. If I find one really cheap sometimes I'll buy two. One to build and make pew pew noises with what no one is watching, and one to use to bolster my bits boxes. Also Individuality is priceless.
Came here for the controversy. As a person who has never watched or made a Gundam, I may do it now because of you. Don't change, love your content and world building. It's very inspiring.

Please keep being your original self and doing original content true to that.
bill if you want even more gundams, buy anything from the build fighters/build divers lineups, as those are custom gundam made from different kits, and most of them come with leftover parts, there's some that can even be built as the original kit with different colors, as someone who kitbashes all his gundams, the build series is my go to for parts

@@deadlightdotnet My dawg, they might be paying people (which, why do you have a problem with people getting paid, that's weird), but suggesting that Trench Crusade (which is cool! Yay Gundams! My dad and sister both collect these guys, and I use them as robot design inspiration. Cool to see them acknowledged more outside of the fandom circles
When it comes to UA-cam channels, I tend to take an "as is" attitude towards them. Whatever persona they choose to present is fine, as long as the video turns out to be entertaining or informative in the end.
I personally enjoy watching someone discover something new and being impressed with it, like when Adam Savage built the PGU RX-78-2 after having only touched "normal" model kits (planes, tanks, etc.) his whole life. Everything was new to him, and seeing the genuine surprise in him was delightful. You could tell he was really having fun. I dunno, I like that sort of thing.
Finally a video of you Bill that I can relate to. You where so nice there for a while, and you talked about Warhammer, so that made me feel nice. But then it kind of derailed after a while. It's been big for like a week or two already.
I don't think there's anything wrong with following trends to pick up some extra views, so long as the main focus is incorporating whatever the trend is with your particular style. I wouldn't expect you to do a video explaining them, but it'd be cool to see a rusty Gunpla, even if it's just a pic on socials... I just like heavy weathering on my Gunpla...
Hope you and MSPaints end up doing something together at some point. I'm probably the millionth of fifteenth or fifth one who expresses that. Your channel regularly gives me motivation to build my own stuff, so thanks.
"Bill's take on trends" once every 3 months, an episode where you examine the latest whathaveyou, dissect it, and the psychology of why its hip...then, ...then, you make your take on it! Your perfect version of it... rest of the time, the regular quality stuff you usually do. The day trips are neat too.
Idk, I am more likely to learn about new craft from a UA-camr I watch than one I haven't seen before. Like this is the first Gundam video I've seen, I didn't know anything about it other than the joke that when T Girls come out of the closet they're given a Gundam kit. But it seems kinda interesting. It was through polymer sculpting that I found NorthoftheBorder, through which I found StudsonStudio and scratchbuilding/kit bashing, and then all the rest of you through the pod racer collab, and learned about wargaming. So maybe someone else will start looking up Gundam stuff from this video. Trying out a trend isn't inherently selling out.
I don’t comment really I am a bit of a lurker. However, I really appreciate your chat about youtuber personalities and individualism. I always felt like I wanted to make crafting videos but lacked the constant high upbeat energy to talk to a camera. But I realized that one of the reasons why I watch you is because of your personality and humor. Also because I love Nausicaa too. I will say the 🫶”love you bye” at the end made me spit out my lemonade thank you.
Bill doing some good Gunpla kit bashing would fill a void in my media consumption. There's some great kitbashing channels but I would personally love to see Bill delve into this a bit.
I personally feel that far too many of my favorite You tube crafting personalities have become talking heads for Games Workshop or some other corporate entity. I know they feel they have to do it for the views, and seem genuinely passionate about what they're saying, but once they reach that point I really don't bother with them any longer. Keep doing you man. That's why I keep coming back.
I'll savour every glimpse of Bll's Bits i can get. Terrifying cheerfulness, seamless references about lots of new things like breath of the wild and gonedames...I almost didn't recognise you. It's a shame you don't speak Japanese or you could tell me what you said :( Seriously though, I love this channel because of who Bill Making Stuff is and I'm planning on sticking around whether you're making something frombits and bobs or stuff from kits, or having a look through your bits bins or whatever you're doing. I watch Bill Making Stuff for Bill Making Stuff.
I always prefer individuals just being themselves. I think I have finally decided what your 'mood' is, Bill - it's silly, weird, and sad. That is a hell of a unique tone, and I've quite decided I love it. Silly, weird, and sad. Long suffering looks interspersed with whimsical moments of bizarre creation and oddball storytelling. But always a kind of vague melancholy surrounding it. It is like a refreshing antidote to the plastic and fake artificial excitement so many UA-camrs put on. I am certain much of it is an act, but it is a great act, and there is nothing else like it. Brilliant! I think you are at your best when you are completely immersed in building your own ideas, your own world, your own creations. That is what draws me - there is a taste to a singular and unique creativity, and it is delicious. Your creations and style motivate me to try things myself, and your efforts have taught me many useful and wonderful skills and techniques. Thank you for that, thank you for your channel and everything you do. I am always excited when you post something new.
I think we should all be allowed to be funny stupid sometimes, especially when you are around people sharing an interest or topic with. Please keep it your way, I am a fan your channel for so long now! Greetings from Germany 🎉
It's gonna sound daft, but watching someone of your calibre of crafting just enjoy something without having the perfectionism of trying to make every single piece perfect, painting it up, panel lining or anything does actually help me feel like it's much more okay to just make them myself for my own enjoyment because I find it calming and fun too. Honestly though, just make what you actually want to make, or draw, or paint - it's why I'm here because I love watching you doing all these weird and wacky things!
I like creators with individual voices and personalities. I’ve been watching Nerdcubed for years because, while he is high energy, he very blatantly refuses to follow trends or play the algorithm game. He’s a really good source of fun for a video game fan like me. I understand why people follow trends, but the content that sticks with me for years doesn’t do that. A trend isn’t memorable. A creator who genuinely loves creating, though, is.
Gundam have been around since late 80s. It started as an anime and Bandai started making model kit shortly after. So Gundam and gunpla have been around for 40 + years
Brilliant! Man, you nailed it. All of it. I just got tuned on to your channel a couple of months ago. I’m actually new to this hobby. Been wanting to do models and table tops but work was too much. To the point where I had to retire. Started looking for UA-cam channels to see what and how. While looking at Gamey Builds, your channel was a suggestion. My god man! Love the builds, great art work (love that style) and just super on point, while being funny. Please don’t change a thing. Probably going to cancel one of my streaming services that nobody here actually watches and shift it over to your Patreon. God knows I watch your channel more than “Peacock (NBC)” anyway. Looking forward to the next video. Happy Holidays!
I think you're next make should be a UA-cam Clonetuber as an alien in your Gutterlands world. Making videos is hard (I gave up after a year because I couldn't get much traction and the effort and input vrs watch time was just not worth it - given I'm already in a full time job). But you should most definitely carry on as you are that's what is making you truly stand out, but if there is something that catches your eye that you want to do that is "popular" then go for it, if you can out your Bill twist on something that is gaining popularity then all the better. I don't even make miniatures (I from the sewing side of the craftiverse) but I love watching your videos nonetheless. Keep going champ!
Hey Bill! I don’t know if you will see this comment but I’m gonna ramble anyways. I’m a 15 year old kid who has been having trouble with inspiration and stumbling along your channel has helped me, how artistic you are and your ideas amaze me. Thank you Bill for giving me motivation to keep going on my art journey, love your channel. Keep it up!! ❤️
I loved this episode, its fun to see you have fun too, please make more of these videos. I love this channel 🥰, I really like that you promote other channels and say what you want to say.
I dont comment often, but just wanted to say Bill, i love your channel, you are a great creator, but, for me, this wasnt it bro. I totally get what you are saying, and its a shame that people do follow trends a lot but equally i think its a symptom of the nature of youtube, rather than the creators themselves. Sure there are creators with no originality and would just blindly follow trends, but equally i'm sure there are many creators that would love to produce entirely original content all the time, but also need to appease the algorithm in order to keep their channel viable and profitable. I'm not trying to attack you personally, i love your channel, its one of my favourites, and you have inspired me so much. But equally there are other channels that do sometimes do trendy videos that i also love and that's okay. Especially for one of those channels that did recently do a gundam video, I thought it was a really lovely little video where she was clearly excited about it. Idk if you meant it this way, i'm sure you didnt, but this take comes across as a little poopoo at times and the sign off at the end comes across quite mean spirited. Again, i say this from a positive place as i really love your channel and i'm not going to stop watching your awesome creativity, there were just wuite a few bits of this video that felt wholly unnecessary.
I get where you're coming from but I honestly had no idea about Warhammer or Gundam in more than a passing sense until the last few years. Moving people from WH to Gundam seems like a win for everyone
As a Gunpla/30mm(ms) enjoyer, I am happy to see this video. Also, glad you're keeping it weird, Bill. Your weirdness is the second best part of the channel, runner-up to your beard.
And also, for realsies: I do not know that I have ever in my life been comfortable with the sort of person you describe herein as a 'UA-cam clone trooper.' In my youth, being different was desperately painful for me, but there was not anything I could do about it. Now, I simply cannot abide that sort of conformity, and experience visceral revulsion when confronted therewith. I'm glad you're here making interesting videos. I'll continue watching as long as you continue, but you don't owe me anything, and so I hope that means that you'll always just make what *you* want to make.
I enjoy your videos a lot, it's a creativity boost for me ! Regarding the trend and GunPla for example, I find it boring to watch a GunPla assembly recorded, I'd enjoy a lot more watching a GunPla being ripped off and heavily kitbashed depending on your inspiration of the moment !
I honestly avoid the trend stuff, it doesn’t interest me. I mostly like to see regular folks make stuff and if it’s funny like you, you’re evil twin, boylei, and crafsman then that checks off all the boxes I look for in a video. I think the only warhammer related channel I follow is Eric’s hobby workshop and it’s just because I like his personality and his neat builds, not because it’s warhammer. I especially like people who create their own lil unique worlds/universes because it’s a hobby I share as well. I’ve been into casual world building since I was six years old and that spark has been with me 30 years now. It’s just so great seeing others that share that lifelong love of mine which is why I love your channel soooooo much. Keep up the great work ❤
Ahh, appears you've got your first Gunpla kit... Be careful, they can be addicting- oh yep- he's got three more before he could even finish the Guncannon!
Fair point on the trend thing. I will say that this one is what got you on my radar. I also value that you stayed weird. I love Gundam and it's a recent thing for me. I love the zen like process of the mostly chill builds. I love posing them for display too. What grabbed me recently was using them for Wargaming in games like Grimdark Future, Xenos Rampant and particularly, Gunframe. Botzees do a line of G1 Transformers which go together like simple Gundam and they are marvelous too.
Love the Red Dwarf stuff. Love Gundam too. Love that you played it the way you did. Loads of gundams in the back while you build this new trend 😂. And highlight the use of expensive plastic nippers. So many channels doing that. And the spongebob thing too. Getting old now.
I’m just a nerd, but it’s so annoying to see people claim that any old basic science fiction trope is from Warhammer 40K specifically. “Hyperspace being scary and full of nasty stuff like demons? That’s from 40K!” No it isn’t, it’s a pretty old idea from books etc, come ON!!!

What's "Warhammer"? Is it new? 🤔
It's basically like caviar, but tastes even worse.
Bills Bit’s must be coffee pods, shots of coffee pods… Is this video sped up by 2.0x? Love you Bill.
To hell with trends. I'm me and my channel is me being me. And this channel is Bill being Bill. Which is why we watch it.
I just bought Lancer, and now you're telling me about Gundam? Too late, i already ordered my five pound box of beads and handdrill. Wish me luck.
Also in the Midwest US I've only heard it called Ding Dong Ditch.
Algo death is the fate of the irrefutably based. Bill, you're genuinely cool.
Never change, Bill.
This is truly the Warhammer of UA-cam videos
Never change Bill. Never change.
How to jump in a trend, as only Bill can.
I love Bill’s reckless and dangerous style. Always unexpected, and full of glorious “making stuff.”
Bill video about Gundam???? Hell yes
Just bought my first because of your influence, Bill. A Leo Standard/Commander 1/144 High Grade. Gotta love these rough-looking military ones.
I'm so glad you couldn't keep it up. I'd reached the point when I couldn't bear it anymore and fortunately that was when you couldn't either.
Thanks for the financial advice Dad. Now i want to buy the expensive snippers 👍
Can't wait for the sausage stapling vid.
Thank you for this video. I appreciate the thoughts you are sharing, and the humor you are sharing them though.
I wish I could like this comment 100 times.
Dear Billstradamus, you called it and lo, it has come to pass. Gundam is le plat de jour cette semaine... and now I've confused French people too.
We finally get to see the entrance of the hole 😌🍴
The early gundam only move in a few places like the head and feet
This video is 10/10, made my day
A red Gündamn you say. Do they support Arsenal?
2:44 I don't like the reverse camera angle, I wasn't ready to see this side of Bill or his workshop 😮
The "Bill Unboxing Stuff" section was a horror movie in miniature. Who abducted my boy???!!!??
I can lissen to these "Suttle" jabs all day 😂. Love the video 👍
i am now inspired to build the gundum kit i got last year
I get where you're coming from but I honestly had no idea about Warhammer or Gundam in more than a passing sense until the last few years. Moving people from WH to Gundam seems like a win for everyone
...thank you for being THAT individual Bill...
As a Gunpla/30mm(ms) enjoyer, I am happy to see this video.
Also, glad you're keeping it weird, Bill. Your weirdness is the second best part of the channel, runner-up to your beard.
Loved this episode, exactly what I’ve been thinking with the whole UA-cam personality thing.
i do enjoy all sorts of bits
bacon bits
drill bits
binary digits
but
most
of
all
BILL'S BITS
And also, for realsies: I do not know that I have ever in my life been comfortable with the sort of person you describe herein as a 'UA-cam clone trooper.'
In my youth, being different was desperately painful for me, but there was not anything I could do about it.
Keep up the great work ❤
The other Gundam on your desk suggests, that there was already a Gundam in your own house. Or shelves. 😀
Should have watched untill the end...
Haha the callout for the fragility of the Godhand nippers is golden
Ahh, appears you've got your first Gunpla kit... Be careful, they can be addicting- oh yep- he's got three more before he could even finish the Guncannon!
"goon cannon" 😂
I like to look at Bill's bits.
You don’t need to follow trends Bill. You make the trends.
Please do trench crusade !
I second this.
GUNDAM
GUMDAN
GUMDAN DOES (love your other channel)
