This book is one of a handful that I am unfamiliar with and I keep finding myself saying to myself "oh man, again?" every time I hear about the Israelites falling further and further away from the Lord once the judges passed away. One would think they might learn the lesson to serve the Almighty God... And it's amazing that He kept his promise to them no matter how far they fell, although He also didn't tolerate their disobedience. One last thought; this might be the most violent book in the Bible as well. God bless you for posting these amazing readings of the KJV!

Let me say the following: First, UA-cam Selects the ads for the videos, normally they are synergistic with the content and they can be skipped after 5 seconds. Here is what a user M.W. wrote as a comment: I have UA-cam premium, it's $10 a month. I never see a commercial. I don't pay for cable, I just use UA-cam if I want to watch something, or listen to radio. I love the blessing of this Scourby channel, especially overnight and when I'm doing housework. There is no business model in the world based on giving away goods and services. FREE programming is on TV, but ads appear to pay for that programing. If there are no ads, then a subscription fee is involved. We all pay monthly subscriptions, to NETFLIX, Amazon Prime, HBO, etc for content. It takes time and money creating Channel content as well as maintaining the Channel, it’s not FREE. We wish we could play the Bible Recordings FREE on UA-cam, however, the reality of life is that it takes money to do anything Jesus said this in Luke 10-7 “And in the same house remain, eating and drinking such things as they give: for the labourer is worthy of his hire; and Paul said this in 1 Timothy 5-17-19, 17 Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine.18 For the scripture saith, thou shalt not muzzle the ox that treadeth out the corn. And, The labourer is worthy of his reward. The word Apocrypha simply means "Hidden. It's not certain why the apocrypha was taken out of the king James Bible in 1885. The story oh Delilah & Sampson is one of the most troubling to me in Scripture. Whatever was wrong with him that he would stay around such an evil woman after the first deception? He had blatant actions & proof. Did it not occur to him that he had this gift for the good of the nation & not for his own fame? Did it never occur to him that he was signing his death warrant? Whatever is wrong with her that she would treat a man in such a fashion? Did it never occur to her she was playing for the wrong team? My mother said people do not fear God. I would like to highlight in the audio playlist in the Book of Genesis Chap 1:31, which is the last verse is chap 1, it will not play that last verse, if you will wait for a couple of seconds, a metal sharp click sound could be heard, then it will proceed to Chap 2...Could this error be fixed? **Error**Judges 21, versus 23 -25 have been omitted and are not printed., Only the audio reads without the printed word. * same in the book of Joshua, 24:32-33 last few verses are read, but no printed word. Thought I’d give you a heads up, I hate to point out in the air since I enjoy listening to the Bible being read by Alexander Scourby, and then seeing the printed word, that’s like the cherry on the top!

This book is one of a handful that I am unfamiliar with and I keep finding myself saying to myself "oh man, again?" every time I hear about the Israelites falling further and further away from the Lord once the judges passed away. One would think they might learn the lesson to serve the Almighty God... And it's amazing that He kept his promise to them no matter how far they fell, although He also didn't tolerate their disobedience. One last thought; this might be the most violent book in the Bible as well. God bless you for posting these amazing readings of the KJV!

Here is what a user M.W. wrote as a comment: I have UA-cam premium, it's $10 a month. I never see a commercial. I don't pay for cable, I just use UA-cam if I want to watch something, or listen to radio. I love the blessing of this Scourby channel, especially overnight and when I'm doing housework.
There is no business model in the world based on giving away goods and services. FREE programming is on TV, but ads appear to pay for that programing. If there are no ads, then a subscription fee is involved. We all pay monthly subscriptions, to NETFLIX, Amazon Prime, HBO, etc for content. It takes time and money creating Channel content as well as maintaining the Channel, it’s not FREE. We wish we could play the Bible Recordings FREE on UA-cam, however, the reality of life is that it takes money to do anything

NEW: Alexander Scourby reads the Apocrypha. Some have been critical of its publishing and those who are, can continue to hear the 66 books from Genesis to Revelation read by Alexander Scourby.
Historical Apocrypha facts. The word Apocrypha simply means "Hidden. The Apocrypha is a selection of books which were published in the original 1611 King James Bible at the end of the Old Testament and positioned between the Old and New Testament. It also contained maps and genealogies. The apocrypha was a part of the King James Bible for 274 years until being removed in the year 1885.
It's not certain why the apocrypha was taken out of the king James Bible in 1885. Some conjecture, and it was taken out by the printers, who wanted to save some money on the publishing of the King James Bible.
The truth is the original 1611 King James Version contained the Deuterocanonical books. Just as these books the Protestants call the "Apocrypha" Books were in Martin Luther's Translation and all of the Earlier Protestant English Translations of the Bible which Predated the 1611 KJV. This should not come as a surprise when one considers that right inside the front cover the KJV says That it was:
“Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is TRUTH: John 17:17.
God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in TRUTH. John 4:24
When he, the Spirit of TRUTH, is come, he will guide you into all TRUTH. John 16:13

Historical Apocrypha FACTS: The word APOCRYPHA means "Hidden. The Apocrypha is a selection of books published in the original 1611 King James Bible for 274 years, and was placed at the end of the Old Testament with the New Testament following. Then in 1885, for reasons unknown, they were removed. So we are putting them back for those who want to read the missing Books of the APOCRYPHA. It's not certain why the APOCRYPHA was taken out of the 1611 King James Bible in 1885. Some conjecture, and it was taken out by the printers, who wanted to save money on publishing the King James Bible.

Frankly, we think the four most Important books in the King, James Bible are the four gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. These represent the new testament Covenant, which God sent his son Jesus Christ to establish between God the Father and his people. To do that Jesus would have to submit himself to be the sacrificial lamb of God on a Cross on a lonely hill at Golgotha outside of Jerusalem. The story oh Delilah & Sampson is one of the most troubling to me in Scripture.
Whatever was wrong with him that he would stay around such an evil woman after the first deception?
He had blatant actions & proof.
Did it not occur to him that he had this gift for the good of the nation & not for his own fame?

Whatever is wrong with her that she would treat a man in such a fashion?

Regarding your question. You mother is right. The same spirit that was operating in Samson is around today working to decieve good people into doing bad and stupid things. I have an old saying, you can't protect people from their own stupidity. The first sin was Satan deceiving Adam and Eve into believing a lie and that had consequences. Delilah deceived Samson into believing a lie as well which had consequences for him as well. That's why we have to be truth seekers and why Jesus said know the truth and the truth shall MAKE YOU FREE. If you know the truth you can't be deceived.

Reporting an audio error here...
I would like to highlight in the audio playlist in the Book of Genesis Chap 1:31, which is the last verse is chap 1, it will not play that last verse, if you will wait for a couple of seconds, a metal sharp click sound could be heard, then it will proceed to Chap 2...Could this error be fixed? If it is fixed, Could you prompt a reply to me? ..Thks.

**Error**Judges 21, versus 23 -25 have been omitted and are not printed., Only the audio reads without the printed word.
* same in the book of Joshua, 24:32-33 last few verses are read, but no printed word.
Thought I’d give you a heads up, I hate to point out in the air since I enjoy listening to the Bible being read by Alexander Scourby, and then seeing the printed word, that’s like the cherry on the top!

Historical Apocrypha facts. The word Apocrypha simply means "Hidden. The Apocrypha is a selection of books which were published in the original 1611 King James Bible at the end of the Old Testament and positioned between the Old and New Testament. It also contained maps and genealogies. The apocrypha was a part of the King James Bible for 274 years until being removed in the year 1885.
It's not certain why the apocrypha was taken out of the king James Bible in 1885. Some conjecture, and it was taken out by the printers, who wanted to save some money on the publishing of the King James Bible.
The truth is the original 1611 King James Version contained the Deuterocanonical books. Just as these books the Protestants call the "Apocrypha" Books were in Martin Luther's Translation and all of the Earlier Protestant English Translations of the Bible which Predated the 1611 KJV. This should not come as a surprise when one considers that right inside the front cover the KJV says That it was:
“Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is TRUTH: John 17:17.
God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in TRUTH. John 4:24
When he, the Spirit of TRUTH, is come, he will guide you into all TRUTH. John 16:13

A SHORT PROPHETIC WORD, about how you, as ONE, can be a part in the fulfillment of PROPHECY today. Please read the following key verses relating to the Prophecy of Jesus in John 17.
In Mark 16:15, Jesus said this: “Go ye into all the WORLD, and preach the gospel to every creature.” (that’s EVERY ONE) Two Thousand years ago, to carry out Jesus's request, it had to be done in person, by walking or riding a donkey. However, today it can be done from the comfort of your home, using your mobile device.
The relevant Prophecy is found in the 26 verses in John 17. The entire chapter is Jesus' final prayer to God, just before being crucified. In that prayer Jesus asked God to do specific things for those who would follow, and they include the ONES following Jesus today.
In John 17:21, Jesus asked God: “That they all may be ONE; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be ONE in us: that the WORLD may believe that thou hast sent me." To be clear the them are the followers of Christ today. Jesus asked God four times in John 17: 11-21-22-23, to make them one. In verse 23, Jesus asked God: “I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made PERFECT IN ONE and that the world may know that thou hast sent me”.
PERFECT is a high bar, begging the question, would Jesus ask God for something impossible to accomplish? I think not, yet, the Prophecy in John 17, as of today, has not been fulfilled. Could this be the time for its fulfillment? Many believe so. If so then how?
For the how, we need only to look to big Tech. UA-cam, Google, Facebook, Twitter, and others, have created vast amazing platforms that carry digital videos and audios to billions.
