Hi Robin, great video and we have been empty nesters for about 15 years. I have 2 Sons that are 39 and 40, and 1 Grandson & 4 Granddaughters. I live about 20 mins from one of my sons and about 2 hours from our oldest son. I live in Chesterfield, Va in the country for about 5 months in a new home and we love it. I love having white towels! They just feel so fresh and clean always! I use a dry paper towel when I am wiping the counters.... I think it's just because I can see exactly what I wiped off! I do use quite a bit of them though while cleaning so that's the downside to that! Dinner looks great! Yes, your grandsons are SO cute!!!!

I love using wet Lysol wipes to clean down my counters, microwave, and oven. ❤ that’s so cute that you have 2 grandkids that were spending with you in this night, I love kids. ❤ I enjoyed seeing some of your grandchildren in this video as well. I am a empty nester as you know but me and my husband are trying for a baby that we hopefully have in the next couple of years. ❤ I love all of your cleaning motivation especially since you haven’t done one in so long. ❤
Trying for a baby.....how exciting. I would do a clearing video every week if youtube wouldn't hate on them so much hehe. UA-cam will not recommend any cleaning videos grrrr they only want decorating videos from me. Therefore, I try to do more decorating and work in some cleaning. Your support is awesome, my friend.
Precious boys!!!! I am a white towel, blue Dawn, stirring pasta girl!!! I only wash my pasta if I'm making a salad...the sauce coats the sauce better if it's not washed.

Hi Robin! I love wiping down my counters as well. If there’s a mess I will take a damp cloth to them. But if it’s just a regular wipe down I use Thieves & a soft, dry cloth. I love the Acorn Spice, hope you like it!

Hi! My husband and I are empty nesters too! Our only daughter went to college out of state and fell in love with a boy at school that is from that state. She came home for a year after college and they did the long distance thing but this spring she took a new job and moved to his hometown. She is about 5 hours away ( college was 7 hours) and we try to see her every few months. We miss her terribly but she is happy and living her best life and that is all we want! In answer to your pasta question- I stir it often!

Lol I’ve been married for 43 years and have two grown boys, their wives and one grandson all live close by. You have a beautiful home. We built our home 38 years ago and I feel it needs a redo. An empty nester! We retired & moved from WI (and the hometown we both grew up in) and moved to Kentucky two years ago to be closer to our daughter, sil and now two year old grandson. Sometimes we miss our family and friends, but there is no where else we would rather be and we thank God every day that we can be close to our only child and her beautiful family (grandson #2 arrives in December)!

My husband and I recently became empty nesters. It’s such a surreal feeling after raising kids for 24 years. Now we are figuring out what to do 🥹😅😂 finding new hobbies, talking about traveling. It’s a whole new area of life with empty nesting. 🍂 I stir pasta when I pour it in and add a little olive oil so the pasta doesn’t stick. 🍂
Oh, I feel for you, sweetheart. The beginning of that season of life is soooo hard. Our last child left our home about 8 years ago so we have adjusted. Traveling sounds wonderful
Hello Robin!! Sure needed this cleaning motivation today, my house is a disaster. I can’t wait for your laundry room makeover. I still have a 14 year at home and 3 adult kids and 3 cute lil granddaughters I’m blessed because they live 10 min away. Oh I have a cooking tip….save some starchy pasta water to add to your sauce, sometimes I only add a splash or two sometimes I add more. Have a great Sunday 😊

Wow, you’d think you were videoing my kitchen this week. I have two grown daughters and one has given me two wonderful grandchildren, boy 12 and girl 5. They love to come to Yiayia’s house and a favorite is any sort of noodles with butter. Neither of them are big on sauces of any kind.
Couple things I’ve learned from cooking shows…wait until water is boiling before adding salt, less risk of pitting your pan and second, place a wooden spoon across the pot and it won’t boil over, it works great! And yes I always stir my pasta when I put it in the boiling water and a few times while cooking.

I'm fairly new to your channel. Don't think I've introduced myself. I'm an empty nester and have been for many years. Our grandchildren are all grown. I loved seeing your grandsons, so cute cherish every minute you have with them because before you know it they'll be grown and on their own. The past looks delicious. I've heard you don't rinse pasta if you're using it in a sauce because you want the starches to remain it helps the sauce stick to it. I do rinse past if I'm making a cold dish. As I may have told you we have 3 of our kids at home
We have my 25 yr old at home he’s been working on the river for 5 years, he has his boat steersman license and is waiting for his year to be up training to drive and then he’ll be able to be the captain of his own boat so proud of him
(He followed my husband’s footsteps he is also a boat captain)
Our youngest son is a highschool senior this year and also works part time he is aspiring to go to college and then we have the princess she is 14 going on 24! She is smart and beautiful and involved in all the clubs and activities at school
She keeps us busy! She is also on the homecoming court this year she is 9th grade maid 👑😊
They make us proud!

You mention loving Dawn dish soap. Have you heard the tip to squirt a few drops in your laundry along with the detergent? I’ve been trying that lately. It works best if you have the 2nd or extra rinse option on your washer.

My husband and I are also empty nesters. We have both been previously married and he has one grown daughter who’s married(no kids yet) and I have one grown daughter(married with two kids) and one grown son(still single and no kids) lol We love when our grandkids come over. They are 5 and 12 and our granddaughter just started kindergarten so she won’t be able to come and stay the night as much as she used to.
They live fairly close but it’s about a 30 min drive to her school so it’s not convenient with our work schedules. Her Fall Festival is this Friday and I’m going because I love a good Fall Festival lol It’s just so much fun sharing moments like that ❤

So so cute! Cousins are the best! The pasta looks delicious. My grandkids are such fussy eaters, they'd never eat it. Mine are chicken nuggets, yogurt, waffles or mac n cheese (and only Panera or Annie's). That's all they eat. There's one boy Logan who is the only one that will even try other things. So frustrating! But my daughters are both fussy too. My sons are better. I cook pasta just like you do. I'm hoping to be able to get on my feet soon so I can do some decorating. It won't be my usual but hoping for a few touches of Fall. 🤞 Have a fun night with your adorable grandsons. 🍁🧡🍂

My husband and I were empty nesters for about a year. Then they all came back with an addition!! 😂 Now, we’re raising our granddaughter, and the girls are doing their thing on their own. The oldest is bettering herself (and doing amazingly well!) while we raise her daughter. But, you know what? I wouldn’t change a thing. Our granddaughter is such a blessing from God. ❤ She filled an empty space in my heart that I never knew existed. She makes our lives complete.

Me to on the wet hot rag , I just don’t feel a dry one would get things clean enough, and another thing is when they’re cleaning the commode ,I’ve seen some raise the lid and clean around the commode and under the lid ,then put the lid back down and use the same rag to clean the part you sit on , that’s just gross 🤮 lol

I have to have a wet rag too🤣! My husband and I are empty nesters. We are extremely. Blessed all of our children are close by. We have 5 grown children and we consider their spouses as our children too. We have 13 grandchildren and 2 great grand babies. I am retired my husband is still working. We LOVE all our family and all the LOVE. We are VERY BLESSED.

Your grandsons are so cute. We're empty nesters as well. Unfortunately I don't have grandchildren. I wish I could one day. My 32 year old son died from a sudden pulmonary embolism in June 2019. My daughter will be 25 the 16th of this month. She lives in Richmond Virginia. I won't get to see her but at least we can video chat. I thank God for the technology to be able to see her face and talk to her. I like using a wet rag to clean my counters with also. I enjoyed watching your video. I hope you have a great week. 😊

Hi Robin, great recipe. When I cook pasta, I do a cold boil. Meaning fill your pot with cold water put in the pasta and bring to a boil. This cooks the pasta faster. I finally did fall decor today. Do you receive happy mail. I have something in mind to send you. Have a great week!!!
Good morning Victoria. Oh, a cold boil....too cool. I've actually never tried it that way. I'll have to try that next time. I have received lots of happy mail over the 4 years I've had my channel. I have to say that giving to others is my love language so receiving is hard lol God has taught me that others giving to me is a blessing for the giver, so i've gotten better. I know how I fell when I give to others.

I thought I would be an empty nester now, but 2 years ago one of my (adult) children was diagnosed with autism. We are all still learning so much, but life has changed and we need to figure out what comes next. The younger child (almost adult) is off at university.
Oh my goodness, April. Honestly, i had no idea that autism could be caught in adults. Prayers over your child and all of you trying to navigate through this new change. I hope your other child is really university. I never went, and I do wish I had.

I am not sure whether I wish I did or not. I did not like school, but I would like to have had the option of some type of career. I was however, lucky enough to be a stay at home mom. .... Those little gentlemen are so cute. Oh my goodness. Ryder has the coolest hair, oh my... I did not have boys, when I had children... but if I had.... they would have cool, longer hair. ( I refere to it as " skater hair ", lol) No short haircuts , lol. I had all girls, but if I hadn't... there would have been no " short haircuts ", lol.
I don't really measure anything, unless it an absolute " necessary " or I'm baking . ...My Grandmother never measured anything, ...except when she baked, so ' I come by that honest ," lol.
I was married to a Chef, ...a l w a y s make sure you salt the water once it starts to boil. ... and yes
a l w a y s give the pasta a few stirs. ...and also while cooking.

hahahaha you're cracking me up with loving "skater hair". Ryder does love his long hair. My hubby and my two sons just hates it when he puts it in a man bun. hehe We call it "surfer hair". There are lots of men in our family and no one but Ryder has long hair.

So thats why I would have " longish hair " on boys, had I had boys, rather than girls, lol. Now,.. I don't like the " man bun thing "... that's too weird, lol. A pony tail... sure. But no man buns, lol. My late husband looked like Yanni ( the Musician) right down to the hair/ mustache... except his nose was shorter than Yannis'... but that hair he had...... it was gorgeous.
